What a life saver for lazy guys!
With this bootloader you can easily install OpenWrt firmware! from the Web recovery console!
Thanks to Mediatek and the developers!
First unlock Stock firmware SSH access.
to install you just copy the bootloader image to the router with SCP,
and install the Uboot/Bootloader with this command:
mtd write /tmp/mt7981_ax3000t-fip-fixed-parts-multi-layout.bin FIP
to boot into the Bootloader recovery mode you need to keep pressing the reset button then plug in the power cable.
Bootloader's IP address is 192.168.1.1 BTW, no DHCP. need to set client IP manually.
Dont work for me, cant downgrade version....
OpenWRT snapshots don't have a UI. However you can easily install it with those two commands: "opkg update" and "opkg install luci"
mine doesnt connect to the internet so cant run opkg update
@@hakz07at firmware selector download page click customize installed package and just add luci inside installed package
PLEASE JOHN a vid on how to set up the wireless and i wanna learn more on ax3000t
it's very easy to setup the wireless.
just set it up here and enable it then you are good to go ;)

nice 😃
Hello John! How much free space is available after change to this bootloader, and is it stable as the ubi method replacing the mtd8/9 partition? Is it necessary to install adguard home? Pls make a video showing adguard home in this router, showing if the performance is somewhat compromised...
Hello. Sorry it has been a while I can't remember the details. actually i don't use too much of it in my daily life, been away from WiFi networks for a while 😅
Hey I'm having a issues with kernel version for installing packages can I update the kernel version to 6 ?
Hello.
Can I use this bootloader to install stock firmware? The latest is miwifi_rd03_firmware_14680_1.0.64.bin. I'm using OpenWRT U-Boot.
Thank you.
sorry I don't know that. but if the partition layout is modified, most likely it doesn't work.
My AX3000t is restarting in a loop regardless of the image loaded. I don't know if this is the cause of the problem but I installed the file "mt7981_ax3000t-fip-fixed-parts.bin" from Release 20240123 instead of the "mt7981_ax3000t-fip-fixed-parts-multi-layout.bin" from Release 20231124 used in video. I would appreciate it if anyone knows what to do.
I accessed the Uboot update mode via 192.168.x.1/uboot.html, loaded the old release 20231124 used in the video and then managed to load the image successfully.
if the bootloader is destroyed you'll have to flash via the serial console...
@@john666mactavish, thanks. I accessed the Uboot update mode via 192.168.x.1/uboot.html, loaded the old release 20231124 used in the video and then managed to load the image successfully. :)
@@pioalphaI did the same thing, Im glad you managed to recover, I'll do the same. Thanks for the tip.
Hi John, thanks for the great video.
I am planing to buy new router. Can u please tell me which one i should look at to have good and stable Openwrt firmware.
Thanks.
Hi, you can buy a Redmi AX3200, I already installed the openwrt system on my Redmi AX3200, it's very perfect, advice from China.
Спасибо 😊
I didn't understand if I can flash the bootloader first and then the OpenWRT firmware.
that's what i did in the video
Custom bootloader possible for smartphone ?
no
Thank you for these videos, good riddance from BREED
Hello friend, how are you? So... What`s the best Ac2100 or AX3000t? and more stable
I'm fine thank you, friend. unfortunately neither is stable if you use the open source firmware. AX3000T is better than AC2100 IMO.
I got it. You know to say any model is it stable? Has you suggestion in range 50 U$?@@john666mactavish
