Bought two XLR splitter cables, $10 or so on Amazon. Made sure guests spoke directly into mics to be sure levels consistent. You don't want a low talker and a loud talker on the same channel.
@@JackGatelyBoston awesome. Thanks so much Jack. It’s odd they have 4 video inputs and only 2 mics with their video follows audio feature. I’ll try what you did and make sure the combined audio people are sitting next to each other in one camera frame!
@@JackGatelyBoston Hey Jack, I am asking because I can't get the video on the monitor with my HDMI and my monitor... I think I might have to buy another Hdmi cable
If you're running a hdmi cable from the back of the vr-1hd to the monitor (and the monitor is in good working order) then you either have no output (unlikely) or bad cable. My guess.
@@JackGatelyBoston Thank you very much for your answer. Could you please give me the reference for your cables please? Hopefully it's the issue. I put one cable HDMI from my Macbook to the Roland as a video input .And one cable Hdmi from the Roland to one monitor (main or monitor) but no display on the monitor. Monitor says no signal...
The little ear piece? Gee, not sure probably Amazon. Like this: ERIPHA Police Earpiece 3.5mm /1 Pin Listen Only Acoustic Tube Earbud Headset for Remote Speaker Mic Motorola Kenwood 2 Way Radio FBI Security Surveillance Walkie Talkie (2 Packs) a.co/d/cltzn1a
Im so glad I found this! The Rolland videos are the worst.
@@michellemurphy4484 glad I could help. The product is great once you connect it properly.
How did you run 4 mics into this?

Thanks for the video! I wonder if you can use this with the Rodecaster Pro?
Gee, idk, I did use this for 4 mic podcast but used splitters since it vr-1hd only has two XLR mic inputs.
@@JackGatelyBostonhey jack can you explain how you used yours?
Also that external power bank would love a link to it!
Power bank? Is there a power bank in the video?
@@JackGatelyBoston Sorry -- my communication is poor. By power bank, I meant the (power bank looking block) that store the video when you record :)
Oh, Maxone hard drive from Amazon
@@JackGatelyBoston thank u!!
Is the VR Video Capture for the VR-1HD a different program that needs to be downloaded?
I use the Roland VR-1HD Remote Control Software and Roland Video Capture for VR software to record. I believe both are free downloads from Roland.
Hi Jack,
Can you link to where you made the Headphone purchase?
PS - You may want to drop links to all this equipment for referral bonuses :)!
