It seems to be relentless. August is generally a quieter month for the Brits anyway while the Spanish enjoy their seaside holidays at that time. But the UK press certainly don’t give up. We’re back in September for a mini break in the old town.
Friends of mine were in benidorm in june. One come back with a broken jaw off one of the russian bouncers. The bouncer punched him as he thought he had caused trouble the previous evening. Totally unprovoked and it wasn't him. Police called & done nothing. To top it off,hes 63yr old & going through cancer. That benidorm trip was his treat before starting chemotherapy.
That is shocking 😮 poor man . I hope he recovers from such a horrible ordeal . Can he pursue a prosecution through the British embassy? This needs calling out as it is GBH ! If Spain wishes to encourage tourists this is not the way to go about it .
Portugal is so much more friendly to Brits. Been to Spain many times but not so keen now. Thanks for the insight into a quiet Benidorm. Nice sandy beach here in Portobello although the weather is pish.
This end of Benidorm is quiet certain times of the day because most Brits are still in bed, after getting hammered the previous night. Poniente beach is always much busier, more spanish there. Try going to Villajoyosa or La Cala Finestrat
Seems you were disappointed but the strip is always quiet in the daytime and August is the British tourist quiet time...if you knew anything about Benidorm you'd know this 😉
Barry, I noticed a lad pushing (broken down/abandoned?) mobility scooter about, I wonder if it was the young lad who started a scooter rent company and was appearing on that TV series Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun. Cheers DougT
Who are “they”? Do you mean the news ETIAS system that’s being rolled out across Schengen countries (not all are EU)? That’ll cost you €7 for 2 years and you can buy it online. Hardly a big issue.
Price of flights are crazy during the school holidays, we are in Los Dolses at the minute and payed over €1000 for 2 aldults and 2 kids (Alicante) these flights went up to €1600 at one point.Puts a lot of people off who want a cheap weekend/week away.
Wednesdays are generally a change over day apparently and August can be quieter than other months for Brits. It was very busy with Spanish holiday makers and it will start to get back to normal mayhem now.
Tourist tax, visas coming, more passport controls for non eu countries, and of course not forgetting people in the uk are struggling with cost of living, i enjoyed your video mind, i do like Benidorm, and surrounding towns.
We went last week in July first week in August a couple of years ago it was really quiet, I had been there in June and it was jumping. I spoke to my old school mate, he is a singer over there and he told me it's not peak time in Benidorm unlike other places around Spain infact he said alot of the entertainers go away on holiday including him. I was there this June and again it was really busy, we are going again at the beginning of October and I'm expecting it to be busy again
Im just back from Benidorm on the 17th ( 4th time this year ) ive been coming for 30 years, several times a year and i an tell you now, it wasnt quiet, i dont know what time you filmed this but anybody who knows Benidorm, knows that the strip desnt get going till after dark. Yes theres barz with stuff going on during the day but, most people go elsewhere during daytime. So.e of the pu s n lubs o British square dont close u til 7 & 8 o'clock in the morning.
Its nothing to do with it being to hot although it can be very hot ,its nothing to do with tourist tax or anto tourist stuff , its the hotel prices they have priced themselves out of the market , I often go to Benidorm but noticed this year that a two week holiday all inclusive in a certain hotel for four is almost double in august compared to September . Turkey has done this but they did it quicker and earlier , people are not fools and will find another destination , watch Turkey next year it will be on its arse even more than usual , Spain will also go that way unless they buck thier ideas up , consider the Spanish were farmers and friut growers a few years ago , kill tourisum and they will soon be back there.
I went to benidorm 51 years ago and vowed never to return,,,,, I haven't thank god. There are much better destinations in Europe without the dog and duck, rose and crown ect ect.
51 years ago! You know nothing about Benidorm,my friend. Millions do ,and are not all what you “imagine”. You have never walked on the new promenade- your loss.
You put people off going to benidorm after the last shite comments you give about the place the STRIP IS ALWAYS QUITE DURING THE DAY YOUR BEGINNING TO BE VERY NEGATIVE BARRY ONE WAY TO LOSE FOLLOWERS
@kevinstreet220 I Was a bit harsh there Kevin, I love Spain. As a lorry driver before I retired, I drove to Spain regularly. I remember Benidorm when it was much smaller and it was a fantastic place. Too big now, and too crowded for me. Thank you for your reply. Respect and kind regards.
That’s what the locals wanted… no tourists… but no tourists no money
its because of the cost of holidays over the school holiday. They have priced themselves out of the market
The ongoing Anti-British Tourist media is in the Media every day, as well as the "Tourist Tax"

Love your channel great video, hope to bump into you in the future in Benidorm ❤❤❤❤
Probably better to visit during those quiter times. Hate it when it's over busy
Flew to alicante to go benidorm a couple weeks ago. Was pretty fun but during the week it was dead

Maybe it’s a reaction to the “No more Tourism “ Spanish protesters ?
If it is then you have the British tabloids to blame for that. Fear-mongering.
This end of Benidorm is quiet certain times of the day because most Brits are still in bed, after getting hammered the previous night. Poniente beach is always much busier, more spanish there. Try going to Villajoyosa or La Cala Finestrat

Well Barry if what they are saying about Visas comes in… there maybe even less😢💕
What are they saying about the visas? Seems to be very straight forward for holiday makers.
Levante end of Benidorm is perfect for drinking and getting drunk , certainly not the area for any decent food
And enforced mpox vaccine
