ive recently started getting into this with a friend, we are currently using the starter set and looking at getting our own fleets in the near future, i can't believe how little coverage this game has. definately want to get more people into it! thanks for all your videos i'm on my way through them all
Another great video. Making me jealous with all this Dropfleet stuff as despite emailing Hawk several times I have yet to hear why my pledge is still not dispatched...Perhaps thinking of the kick starters and late pledgers before rolling out new stuff?
Okay, the station sprues look amazing, even for non-DfC players. Way more players of Full Thrust, Starmada, Battlefleet Gothic, Firestorm Armada, etc, etc out there, after all. The launch assets aren't to my tastes and will be skipped on, but I suppose some folks will want them despite their generic designs. They'd have to be very, very cheap to compete successfully with the much more varied and similarly-sized small craft available from Ground Zero Games, Brigade Models, etc.
The kickstarter whining gotta stop, Hawk messed up, everyone gets it...Do understand that Hawk need to keep going forward with the planned stuff even though they still struggle with the kickstarter issues. The game and its models are fantastic and I hope all the whining backers appreciates that when they DO get their stuff.
Marcus Sundbom no. Hawk needs to fix the problem. If a mechanic ruined your engine, told you stuff happens and then his friend told you he had to take care of 35 other scheduled cars because otherwise it'd hurt business and then he'd get to you... Yeah. I'm sure you'd understand
Lobukia Solki If I ordered a brand new car, and I get it dirt cheap, I wouldnt be overly upset when it doesnt arrive at the set time. Thats a better comparison. But all in all, even though its perfectly fine to criticise Hawk for how they messed up the kickstarter, I just hope people still appreciate the game when they get the chance to, and not ruin the community.
Marcus Sundbom dirt cheap? If I bought carefully off eBay and online retailers and didn't have to buy the dead weight Scourge I don't want... I'm saving 10%. Meh. And if paying 10% more would have got me my KS stuff mid September, it'd been worth it. And if that 10% off car that I was told I'd be driving before dealerships even got there's hadn't showed up after the dealerships got 2 shipments, and second model, and then commercials were already running on a third, then yeah, I'd be ticked about that too. Especially if I'd received no direct communication after repeated attempts to contact them.
What you consider "dead weight" is entirely your own issue and not something you can hold against Hawk. But it seems more like your the kind of person who just shouldnt be kickstarting anything. Your making a very big deal out of something that really isnt. But its a great way to ruin a community.
Marcus Sundbom oh no. I very much hold it against Hawk. If I wanted all the gameplay elements I had to buy the starter set (back when we believed we'd have it before retail and could do demos and stuff). Hawk told us, that due to retail packaging the scourge and UCM had to be bundled with the game components (a lie). So we all bought the supposed retail starter set (there description actually showed the retail box cover art and asked "what's in the box?"). Then it turned out it was just stuff dumped into a shipping box and there was no discernible reason for making us buy scourge. So yeah. I hold that against them. As far as killing a community, Hawks done that, and the people pounding the nails in are white knights that just want to yell down legit complaints. If I could find a single honest update on the KS since July, I'd understand some of the people trying to excuse Hawk. And I've done several KS. Never have I encountered worse communication or someone selling backer product to retail for 3 months after promising over 5 times not to

Nice Wave 3 almost on the shelves of stores and a lot of backers still waiting for their kickstarter pledges .
Great job Hawk !
I have got a kit of the old Revell Cylon basestar somewhere. I think these bits would be great in turning one of these into a huge spacestation.
The space station is really awesome :) Hope it will be in shop soon :)
