I would love to see an Ifrit boss and nega Mother Wisp bosses in Sonic x Shadow generations. Both are connected to lore that sega refuses to use. Ifrit (sonic rivals 2) can destroy an intirer dimension bathing it in fire (the game comfirms its whole universe, not just a planet). Sonic and Shadow only defeat a heavily weakened ifrit as it isn't fully revived yet (it did eat a bunch of chao and become invincible, though. Plus, he has mind control powers and is just as sentient as chaos even though it wasn't at full power). But they still beat it in base, which is still incredibly impressive. I bring him up because Gerald has notes on ifrit implying Gerald Robotnik somehow got into the dimension that chaosic inferno takes place in. Plus, ifrit seems connected to the chao somehow, and Gerald knows of him, so i hope he is at least in the journal. As for the nega mother wisp, I loved her boss fight. She is a part of the wisps lore (yes, the wisps have lore actually lore, such as the mother wisp creating the wisps and the planets that eggman captured, the ds version of colors going into detail on how negative wisps are made and how it affects their minds, actually giving each wisps their own personalities like Lazer trying to fight the robots and void straight up destroying shit and causing chaos. The mother wisp is kind and motherly but can have a temper. eggman is lucky he got caught in the black hole before she got free. Plus, the wisps actually flow with level design in colors wii and ds. Similar to how the doom powers seem to. Unlike in the lost world or forces. The ds has a better story than the wii version. It has interesting lore, the wisps are fun and the stages are fun. Not to mention, multiple characters have sonic do missions to help free wisps or extra information on what is going on. I have both versions. The wisps are neat and do have lore. I wish sega would actually utilize their lore more). Ifrit and the mother wisp are very interesting and think you should cover them. Plus, the fact that Sonic and Shadow, among other characters, defeated Ifrit in base shows how powerful they are. Also, I think marine the raccoon should return due to her unexplained power, and the complaints about her are already addressed in her character arc and development from sonic rush adventure. Also, phantom king creates the egg revery, which is infinite in space-time, and space and time (yes, there is a difference) in Sonic Mania, and that's just classic super sonic. Also, Chaos drives, artificial chaos, the ark, and G.U.N. are all interesting. I wish sega would use them more, too. Oh, and Emerl and Gemerl should be explored a bit again.
They must bring back Knight, I'm damn sure that Sonic Team aren't dumb enough to let this chance goes in vain ! And they better not screw up Find your Flame! Also bring back Mephiles the damn Dark ! Nah man....what if the true villane of the game is Mephiles from the Shadows ? That would be sick because this is Shadow and Black Doom game, they are the ones that are in the spotlight, and then in the end it turns to Shadow and Mephiles game !
Hey you can't blame the fandom when the sonic generations remaster got leaked we thought it's...kinda pointless like we thought it's just gonna be a simple remaster in all consoles with no much effort just a simple remaster and port it in other consoles almost like a cash grab we didn't know sonic team and sega had a huge surprise for us in this remaster until the trailer dropped and blown our expectations and then we find out ok... there's SO MUCH MORE!! about this remaster.
Would have been kinda pointless if you have the old games, shadow story makes this a much more complete game considering how generations can be beaten in 2 hours
I love how the perception of this basically changed from "oh look it's a Generations remaster with some Shadow content slapped onto the side as a bonus to " OH SHIT it's a New Shadow Game With sonic Generations slapped onto as a Bonus."
The only problem I personally feel is that yes it definitely is great that it's paired with a game that exist years ago as one game but Forces still left that taste in Episode Shadow. Like you know, I wanted a Full Shadow Game with a Full Sonic Game from years ago, not a Full Sonic Game from years ago with a Shadow game you beat in 1 hour. Though yes it's really promising.
This is not just a DLC per say... Perfect analogy, it can be referred to as "Standalone Expansion" ...A product that stands on it's own without the need to rely on the base game ...So if you never bought Generations, that is just Shadow Generations for new & old generations to enjoy Generations. *_*Now, what the game needs is Frontiers funniest feature, Shadow's curled form for a true ultimate edgehog experience, rolling at a jogging pace*_*
If anything I think White Jungle and Prison Island should be combined into one Prison Island "Zone" since the overall locale is important to Shadow's beginnings.
7:30 “I want it to feel fast, snappy” my brother in Christ, watch the kingdom valley gameplay. You go in and out of Doom Surf without slowing down at all, and the Doom Blast just seems like some extension of the Homing attack. I imagine all the Doom Powers will be seamless to use
No shot we don't get Black Comet as a level, right? I'd kill for Black Comet as the final level again, just make it an Eggmanland style level where every single ability you get is tested (Not as long as Eggmanland since there's no Werehog, but still that same idea) As for bosses and Rivals, I think Mephiles, Infinite, and Sonic for rivals, and then I genuinely have no idea for the 3rd main boss. Maybe Black Doom, and then have another new boss as the final boss?
In Mario odyssey they had those pipes that turned Mario into the original 2D Mario for a bit, maybe they could do something similar with new open zone games. It would be less annoying since you’d need to enter something and wouldn’t disrupt the pacing. Plus you’d play as 16 but classic sonic
Im good with everything Ive seen so far. All we need is a boss fight against Mephiles, a revamped Devil Doom and an epic level from Shadow's own game and it's golden
0:30 I think they left too. I don't even hear YTbers talk about that crowd or voice those sentiments anymore. It feels like everyone just forgot about them. They were the main reasons why - Sonic became the sole playable character - Sonic 4, Colors (story- and tone-wise), Generations, and Mania were made (hell, Mania was made *by* strictly classic fans) I expected to hear complaints about Shadow "tainting" Generations. But no. Everyone has expressed positivity at most and cautious optimism at worst.

Infinite is Eggman’s successor to project Shadow. Forces final judgement reveals that Eggman created Infinite and the Jackal Squad in that base. Infinite’s entire life as Zero was an illusion created by the mad doctor. Being a test run for developing the ultimate lifeform, into becoming the Ultimate lifeform himself.
I feel like Shadow's gonna get a new Super Form like Sonic in Frontiers. Or something like a Giant Doom Armor in one of the Secret Boss Battles. I just hope it's not like Secret Supreme Shooter but an actual Giant Colossus Boss Fight.
I think this is a perfect opportunity for a Generations FINAL STORY Solaris, Devil Doom, Final Hazard. Throw em all at us and have Sonic and Shadow both go super after the Sonics v. Time Eater
It's incredible that the only red flag that Shadow X Generations has is Shadow's voice actor!! Seeing how people hate his Vegeta like interpretation, the gruff is rough as they say XD
Alternatively for Emerl. I’d love to see a Shadow Android rival fight. Like a big ol’ wave battle beat down where you’re fighting a horde of em or something.
The combat, I just hope it just gets better. Like actual Air Launchers and skills that isn't just cutscenes anymore. I'm not asking any DMC kind but I'm not saying I don't want it.
I don't think were going to see Super Shadow in Shadow Generations, my reasoning being that it wouldn't make sense with Sonic Generations story. In Sonic gens we collect Chaos Emeralds as we beat rivals and bosses, so Shadow logically cannot collect them in Shadow gens. My bet is that they're gonna introduce a Super-ish form as a Doom Power to defeat Black Doom's final form. Either that or they modify the Time Eater fight to have both Super Sonics and Super Shadow.
Solid list. Now here are a few that I would add. Most important, NO day one glitches. Both Sonic Origins and Sonic Colors ports were an embarrassment. Good story. Imagine if Shadow is having thoughts about trying to save Maria, even in a way to not mess up the time line. Can even through in Silver and perhaps Sage into the mix. But it all ends bitter sweet with Shadow only able to meet Maria one last time.
Something I really wish would happen but is super unlikely to happen is more dlc content aside from the holiday one we are getting,(either paid or free) because generations only having 2 pieces of dlc is honestly sad, one of them even being added to the base game now 😭
It really needs a way to have separate controls for Classic and Modern Sonic in my opinion. Doing the Spindash with the right trigger just doesn't sound right to me.
Okay, this is a really far fling, but Chaos Island being incorporated makes me hope we could see some type of Knight fight. Maybe its something akin to what they did with that crab guy in Guardian Rock, where it pesters you throughout the level. Idk, the #1 Titan fan can hope.
I doubt we’ll be able to fight the Knight, but it would be cool if it was incorporated to the Stage. Remember in Frontiers when Sonic first encounters Knight and he has to run away from the Shield by running on Squid’s Platforms. They could do something like that again

This is the second ever shadow game we’ve ever had. They cannot mess this up. I want don’t want to see bad clippings and pop ins, I want it to be smooth and silky.
My expectations: a Shadow the Hedghog level that's either Sky Troops or Cyber Circuit for a normal level, or the Black Comet if they want to present the home base of Black Doom for that spicy final level. Then Mephiles as a boss. That's all my expectations, if this ends up being as simple as a Sonic Gens 2 with 9 new levels & 4 main bosses & 3 side bosses, then I would love that. Other than what I suggested, I don't care about what else they end up choosing, I just want them to be good recreations with high quality design. The game has already proven itself & my trust was proven correct, I just want to play it now.

And I imagine the people at SEGA will actually use their brains and make new levels as dlc, right? That was one of the most missed opportunities in the og Gens (Sega casually losing opportunities to make millions)
@@evitanc57 yes, for Shadow, I even pre ordered the digital deluxe edition, but this could be an one off thing they're doing, I was thinking about og Gens, but it does apply for Shadow too, having new levels in both, doesn't need to be consistently, like this is the perfect game for them to capitalize of those content uptades, I hope that's what they're going for
The Only Thing I Wanted to Mention for the Sonic Generation Part for Sonic X Shadow Generations is to "Fix The Time Eater Boss Fight" and have it be Fast and Simple not a Drag sense it being base of the Console version not the 3DS Version
If black doom is the final boss, I don’t see how super shadow doesn’t get involved. Black Doom at his most powerful, is one of the absolute strongest villains in the sonic universe. Doom’s mastery of Chaos Powers and his immortality are exactly why Gerald Robotnik used his blood to Shadow. Also come on, Black Doom is quite literally the arch enemy of Shadow of the Hedgehog. He is essentially to Shadow, what Eggman is to Sonic.
I've never been this hype for a Sonic game yes I was hype for frontiers but I am even more hype for sonic x shadow generations more than Sonic Frontiers and yes I agree with points
I wanna see white jungle, final fortress, gun fortress, black comet and dusty dessert in Shadow Generations. I hope that Sonic Generations remastered in Sonic X Shadow Generations will be indeed remastered.
Black Comet seems likely for the final level before you fight Black Doom, I'd love White Acropolis, Sky Troops, Dusty Desert and White Jungle but I'm not gonna be greedy
I want shadow to be depicted RIGHT. I’m talking about 06 shadow or Archie shadow levels of peak, I don’t want another edgy brooding shadow who doesn’t have any friends, if they don’t do this, I will be super disappointed, Sonic generation’s story on its own… is terrible.
I genuinely want to see Sonic 06 levels of Shadow characterization bc I physically can't stand his characterization in the modern games... (and yes, I genuinely think that Sonic 06 Shadow is actually very well written)
Sega staff said it was upcoming 3rd Sonic movie which inspired them to create this Generations game, Dark beginnings upcoming animation and so on. I find this painfully ironic that it's Paramount and their artists/character designers who inspire SEGA TO CREATE ACTUAL GOOD GAMES. It should be vice verca. Sega should produce good content to inspire fans and other collaborative companies. It's their lack of passion for their own characters that put Sonic into dark erga for a long time. Frontiers already was kinda better in terms of good writing, let's hope Generations will be at least on this level. I mean yeah, we need good level desing, but also good writing and so on.
Work with me… Since Sonic gets lots of forms that we never see Shadow tap into, what if Shadow got a form akin to his super form that’s tied to his alien DNA?

Do we really need the Time Eater to pull from the future for futuristic levels, when the Present Sonic World is filled with futuristic cities with hover cars? Just look at Somic Forces or the Sonic Riders games. And on a sidenote. Making fun of My Little Pony fans is extremely ironic when the Sonic Fandom was the OG toxic community obsessed with animals of a children property. lol I get the specific type of people you mean. sonic team should ask the ryu ga gotoku team for some pointers on how to spruce up the combat

One additional level is already confirmed as dlc. Should release in December. It is part of the deluxe edition
@@evitanc57 yes, for Shadow, I even pre ordered the digital deluxe edition, but this could be an one off thing they're doing, I was thinking about og Gens, but it does apply for Shadow too, having new levels in both, doesn't need to be consistently, like this is the perfect game for them to capitalize of those content uptades, I hope that's what they're going for

The Only Thing I Wanted to Mention for the Sonic Generation Part for Sonic X Shadow Generations is to "Fix The Time Eater Boss Fight" and have it be Fast and Simple not a Drag sense it being base of the Console version not the 3DS Version
If black doom is the final boss, I don’t see how super shadow doesn’t get involved. Black Doom at his most powerful, is one of the absolute strongest villains in the sonic universe. Doom’s mastery of Chaos Powers and his immortality are exactly why Gerald Robotnik used his blood to Shadow.
Also come on, Black Doom is quite literally the arch enemy of Shadow of the Hedgehog. He is essentially to Shadow, what Eggman is to Sonic.
This was the perfect game to finally give us a chao garden. Shame we definitely aren’t getting it

Black Comet seems likely for the final level before you fight Black Doom, I'd love White Acropolis, Sky Troops, Dusty Desert and White Jungle but I'm not gonna be greedy
I want shadow to be depicted RIGHT. I’m talking about 06 shadow or Archie shadow levels of peak, I don’t want another edgy brooding shadow who doesn’t have any friends, if they don’t do this, I will be super disappointed, Sonic generation’s story on its own… is terrible.

Sega staff said it was upcoming 3rd Sonic movie which inspired them to create this Generations game, Dark beginnings upcoming animation and so on.
I find this painfully ironic that it's Paramount and their artists/character designers who inspire SEGA TO CREATE ACTUAL GOOD GAMES.

Do we really need the Time Eater to pull from the future for futuristic levels, when the Present Sonic World is filled with futuristic cities with hover cars? Just look at Somic Forces or the Sonic Riders games.
