Hey! I'll start tagging my mp3s from now on. I hadn't done it before because I don't usually link them public, and OCReMix retags mp3s anyway when they get posted. I'm not sold on the long version being tagged for the Eevee EP, I feel like it should stand on its own, especially considering the circumstances, but it's ok and cool that you want to do this. I'll probably just tag the album as "ReMixes" for future mp3s. I'm glad you like the song enough to go through all the trouble, thank you!
That's awesome! I wish more people did that kind of stuff, that's the only way anyone ever finds out about anything, especially when it's this obscure. :p Thanks to Silver102938 and thank you, I'm glad you like the song!
Thanks, glad you like it! I'm honestly not sure. I think they either don't get doom metal, or they didn't give it the time it deserved, and experience the atmosphere... they said it "tried to make too much from too little" (referring to the original lavender town as a bad source), but there's no copy/paste here.. this is all played live, no repetition really. I don't honestly understand it, and I'm still a little bitter about it. I thought OCR appreciated stylistic diversity but who knows.
What I find amazing is that someone can come along 4 years after this posted, do a horrible remix of it, get 40 x more views and hundreds of thousands of subscribers. You artists need an evil alder ego that steals your own work and promotes it like hell to get any recognition.
It's slightly frustrating seeing that there was more to this song than the glory that is 'Ember'. But, at the same time, I'm glad that I have more to listen to. Will probably add to or replace Ember with in my Eevee EP soundtrack.
Not usually a fan of doom metal stuffs, but this remix may persuade me to give it some attentive listens. Also, the mix is fantastic. Wish I could get everything to come together that friggin' CLEAN. Props man.
Here's a bit of dry/bitter humor: Flareon is often considered a really weak and underpowered Eeveelution (mostly due to a crappy movepool), OCRemix has recognized this and chopped up the song dedicated to Flareon.
If anyone is interested, I took the MP3 download that bestrader offered and tagged it to match the Eevee EP tags (complete with album art), for ease of dropping it into your Eevee EP playlist in your music player of choice. I'll throw it in my public dropbox and link it if anyone wants it.
Brandon, you said you wanted suggestions, I will give you one: How about you give the same treatment you did to this song (you know, funeral doom metal) to the Dark cave/Ice Path theme from pokemon gold/silver? Think about it.
Wow, I'm not usually a fan of Doom Metal, but I really love this one! Why did you have to cut it for the Eevee EP? Aren't there a couple of 10 minute songs on OCR?
You inspired me to make a piano cover of this very same song! If anyone wants to see it the link is right here: Lavender Town on Piano, Improvisation - Pokémon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow :D
Aww, that's too bad really. I guess the source is kind of short, but the arrangement doesn't feel repetitive to me at all, so I'm perfectly fine with it being almost 8 minutes.
+holly mcnally something about the guitar progression and the high pitched tune in the background, sounds like it's straight from Light or Mello's theme
YES! This is the REAL song! I had to cut it in half for OCR. Made me sad.
I've heard of those mods! It's awesome that so many people liked that song! :-) It's also very encouraging.
Thank you so much for expressing interest in that! I added the download link to the description!

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to show you there was more to the song than what was released through OCR xD
Thank you!! :D
Gotta admit I haven't heard a lot of remixes of Lavender Town, maybe one.
But I have listened to it backwards several times. ;)
Thanks! Glad you like it!
This is still one of my favorite covers ever, and the perfect spooky song to play on Halloween.
Thank you, good sir! :D
oh my god! DUDE, I can not stop listening to this wonderful song. its PERFECT!
Silver102938 sent me here!!! :) I downloaded the Eevee EP as well, and I am so happy to know that there is more to this song! :D
Yessss, roar.. thanks man! :D
Thanks, glad you like it!

Amazing!
This is most definitely the best rearrangement/remix/cover of the song that I've heard thus far.
This music is the legend

This is the awful remix: ruclips.net/video/jQ2M9ass1pU/видео.html

I'm thinkig that Aaron Stainthorpe sings this!
That would be amazing! My Dying Bride inspired this song! Whenever I do doom metal, it's because of growing up with MDB!
This is from a game
Wow, I'm not usually a fan of Doom Metal, but I really love this one!

Is there anywhere I can download this version, instead of being stuck with the Eevee EP version?

this reminds me of a character theme off death note somehow
