"Dust and Echoes" is a Cortana's quote on Halo CE. Btw, there is a moment in Halo Infinite that The Weapon says something like "now is just dust and echoes", then Chief asks "what did you say?". Same thing happens in the final part of the game when Cortana is about to being destroyed.
Was dust and echoes in the CE I thought it was in the first strike book? it's been a minute since I've played CE, guess I know what i'm doing tomorrow.

You guys have such an infectious enthusiasm throughout all your videos that it always brightens up my day. In return I wanted to say thank you for all you guys do, wish you guys the best!

I love how committed to halo you guys are. Keep that enthusiasm alive, and I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with next!
I really hope Infinite gets Flood later, especially seeing how many easer eggs they have related to em. It's like the whole campaign is teasing something big to come, I love it and I hope they really follow through on it
So do I especially with zetas lore with the flood but unfortunately I don't think we will especially after an interview a few weeks ago where someone from 343 stated they have no interest in dlc now and are working on other projects
One you maybe missed ,was the warthog tires say puma on them referencing Red vs Blue in a few of the games ,when a character calls a warthog a puma in the show
The Grunt's conversations crack me up every time, I love them and sometimes I feel bad killing them. Thanks for this video it was awesome and hilarious and made my morning.

I can't believe I watched the whole thing. Dude well done on the vid as well. Finding 1,000+ easter eggs is huge. I love your content and can't wait for the next video.
I feel like it wasn't clear in the video but I'd just like to let everyone know that ALL the funny Halo 2 loading screen tips were added in the final few days before the servers were shut down, and there are many more of them that didn't make it into this video. My personal favorite was (paraphrased) the tip "Honk the Warthog to let teammates know you're near!" being changed in the final days to "Honk the Warthog to annoy all your teammates!"

Gosh dangit!!! No one ever *ever* even mentions all the firefly references in Halo 3: ODST!!! There are so many, because 3 of the main characters are the actors from Firefly! Mal and Buck are played by Nathan Fillion, my favorite Easter Egg line of his is a rare in-game line of him mentioning "that goram hurts!" a reference to the often used curse word used in FIrefly. Jayne and Dutch are played by Adam Baldwin, one of his better easter eggs is his special giant gun in the show, and his own Spartan Laser are named Vera. Finally, Wash and Mickey are both played by Alan Tudyk, and of course he's the groups pilot in both the show and the game, and a chapter references one of his best lines 'curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal' being called just the latter half of that quote.. And, of course, the achievement in Halo 3: ODST for setting a drone alight with a fire grenade is called 'Firefly.'
This was awesome! though what about Halo Custom Edition and the Halo 2 Killtrocity map packs? I know they're mods made by people but just those must have 100s of easter eggs, i know Halo Custom Edition alone has probably close to 100 if not more. Should be in a separate video for extra easter eggs! Just a suggestion! Great work btw 👍
Killer Instinct at 1:00:32 is not a beat 'em up game. It's a fighting game. Those are different genres. Edit: But otherwise a great video! I think every one of them counts as an Easter Egg. OH! And also edit: The line "I have a bad feeling about this" is a Star Wars quite. Johnson then has an original line "Boy, you always got a bad feeling about somethin'!" probably because he doesn't want that bad feeling to spread to his other troops and hurt morale. Later references back to this scene are then also both Star Wars and Johnson references at the same time, which I think is kinda cool. It's like a root system and tree blooming out of both Star Wars and Halo at the same time.

Awesome video! I just wish you showed off some these easter eggs more. Like maybe play the audio-relared ones like the Grunt's "feet don't fail me now!" One you mentioned.
Before Acrophobia was added to Halo 3, my dad and I spent about an hour trying to perform the co-op trick jump to get to half-naked Jason Jones in the last level. When we finally got it, he did not think it was worth it but I was overjoyed. Still one of my fondest memories of Halo 3.
The achievement Would It've Killed You To Take The Elevator for beating the par time for Assault on the Control Room is a reference to a known sequence break in the level for knocking the Banshee off the platform, which is the only way to get it since it takes too long to beat the time legitimately.
All the way.... Actually really glad you reminded me of stuff from the earlier games that I had forgotten and that I don't hear about often. Awesome, super-Halo-nerd content!
Dude i remember seeing a video super late at night about the scarab gun and i was like "there's no way this is real", spent the next few hours trying to get to the spot failing over and over, until i footballing got the banshee through, and my god i cant express how happy i was finding that gun

I love how you mentioned the sangheili love poem to commander palmer in halo 5. Plus the elite in that audio log mentions his two hearts; well it’s no wonder those bastards are so hard to kill.
Just because they used halopedia for the majority of the video, does not mean everybody wants to stare at a list of words that explains each of these. They created a visual medium using a source, which still takes a big chunk of time. You sound goofy asf

One my of my favorite of recent halo easter eggs from inifinite is that they included daisy's teddy bear for your spartans chest piece and a daisy for the side of your spartan's helmet.
I can’t believe I watched the whole thing My favorite Grunt dialogue from Infinite has to be “If you came to hear me beg, you will be *very* satisfied!”
Can't believe I watched the whole thing. For real though, that's a lot of easter eggs, it goes to show how passionate both bungie and 343 were/are about just making fun games.
If I remember correctly, there is also a Halo Infinite title screen that says "I don't keep it loaded, son" which is a reference to when you get the magnum from Keys in Halo CE
I cant believe I watched the whole thing. I even cooked and ate a pizza while watching :D I think that "jerk store" bit is a Seinfeld reference actually. Great vid man. You guys put a lot of work into this one and I enjoyed every second
Dust and Echoes: the informal name of the Spartan that appears in co-op on CE. Comes from the quote in the final cutscene "(Chief)Did anyone else make it? (Cortana) Scanning... Just dust and Echoes...." Because it sounds like "Dustin Echoes" and he's the only other one (on co-op) that makes it off the ring in-game, novels aside. Highly recommend Williaso's Completely Accurate Summary of Halo CE- he starts off explaining the appearance of a second spartan (in Co-op) as chief's imaginary friend Dustin Echoes who appears because of brain damage in cryo sleep 😂
This was so cool, you guys going back to all the little things i have forgotten i found and cool little tidbits of information brought back so many great memories while i sat here did a lab report. Thank you and keep it up❤👍. The sandwitch is forsure my favorite from the 343 gen games.
