  • Urolift ATC (Advanced Tissue Control) gives urologists a new tool to effectively treat larger median lobes with a Urolift procedure. Previously, median lobes were difficult to treat ( • Limitations of Urolift... ). With the new ATC device, a large median lobe does not preclude a Urolift procedure.

I had an enlarged median lobe and the procedure was a total failure!! Painful and no relief. Urinary issues were worse. After that experience, had a TURP with preserved ejaculatory function. No sexual side effects and urinary issues fixed!!

Had cystoscopy today and have a median lobe impeding urine flow. My prostate is medium size at 55cc, 5.3 x 4.5 x 4.4cm and is not compressing the urethra. Flowmax and finesteride have not helped. Urologist suggested Urolift ATC to fix my median lobe. He also mentioned TURP will be needed if the Urolift procedure does not work. Are these the best procedures for my situation and what is the success rate for both? Thanks!!!

Do you have any experience with iTind? What is the cost?
Some clinical studies show 3 years followup reporting good results without any loss of sexual function. No complications or side-effects?
I'm comparing the Urolift to the iTind BPH treament.

UROLIFT PROCEDURE completely PERMANTELY destroyed my life. Healed wrong with scar tissue and the " urethra flaps " healing together ?? That's what the urologist said. My new urologist says he can fix it with laser surgery BUT BUT BUT I would have to self catherize DAILY for the rest of my life or the scar tissue will most likely return.
