Excellent tutorial, I just discovered you through my daughter who has the most fantastic preemie reborn. I got caught out by my hubby dressing her while daughter was in high school so bought me one for Xmas. The lady and her son knocked out loads on eBay b4 Xmas and mine has a fault on the painted hair, all I was offered was headbands and hats or even though her damage, I could at my cost send it back and pay for a different one to be returned to me so I accepted the cover ups and she sent me 3 hats and 3 head bands and I can see where she has thought "she's not having the gerbera clip off it" and one side of those has tiny 'teeth' to stop it falling of and it has two stitches holding it together from where she had wrenched it of. No pride in her work at all. Must have made thousands in the run up to Xmas. Sadly as my hubby bought it, he peeped in the box and left positive feedback. Sorry to bore you, you come across so friendły on your videos and I actually felt like I was chatting to a friend, One day I hope to get Isabella's hair rooted properly. No idea who by as I'm disabled with fibromyalgia and struggle wîth manual dexterity problems. She has closed eyes which is my preference and wears first size clothes whereas my daughters baby wears premature. I'm having a traditional pram restored but it's a family heirloom so when my son and daughter in law have their little one and he or she moves to a buggy then the pram comes back for my next grandchild and I hope for plenty with a brood of 6 between my husband and I. We lost 3 babies together and I found that for years I couldn't so much as hear a baby babble or cry but my daughters 'baby' has cured my depression so as well as the pleasurable side of having the reborns, they are a helpful aid too.Thankyou for taking the time to read this, you must be very very busy reborning your own babies plus helping others to see if I would be able to microroot Isabella's fair and I haven't got the nerves to dismantle Isabella and try. Would you prefer, stuffing and glass beads or there are vinyl bellies and bums, I got stuck but I'm leaning towards the stuffing because you can get the right amount of weight you need. Thanks!
@MrAmericangirllover - his legs are 3/4 length but I thought they where a bit long so I put them on a body that enables him to have full legs. The length in inches is about 9"

Kitty K You can do that. That is actually how reborns were first made. People usually remove all of the paint from the doll and start from scratch like that.
cam I ask a question, I have been given a scalp that was brought in 2013 but it has no body how do you work out what size body to get. also how do you work out body size that is already on a baby
I use moleskin to seal off my head and limbs. The sticky padded moleskin you would put on your feet. Just cut it to size. I never knew what size plugs to buy, a lady on my facebook group suggested it.

I just got my first reborn ,bountiful baby 2008 ,kit my D.Pratt,so I would like to know can I put him in a doe body,he is 19 to 20 in.long . I would like head to turn,and is it possible for legs and arms to move up an down,now it just looks like is arm and legs are sewed to the body so tha makes them just flop around arms are the worst legs not as bad thank you for any help

I like them slim,in the body,newborn are wery slim around the bottom of the body,and the doll is easy to post.it they are to skuffede,one can not pose them like newborn.

when making a reborn do you have to put a head plug inside the head?
It’s optional but I recommend not to skip it.
