- Well I gotta say I try to make these videos in a way that they're pretty much self explanatory. Any way for those of you that haven't seen my videos before, they're about the day in and day out life on a crop and cattle farm in southwest Wisconsin. I try to avoid doing to much editing in my videos and keep them as close to the original raw footage as I can because lets be honest farming isn't edited as I live it.

Thanks Travis, people dont understand family anymore.... then you throw the farm family into it you are adding a whole different level of family to the term.... thanks again
Thats what family is for also Wisconsin family do and dairy farmer are family
I understand the family thing. I come from a long line of farmers in our family. Great video.
Some of the best content you make is when you look back at the history or forward to the future of your farm. I know at my place, every few weeks it is refreshing to have a walk around and do a little dreaming / planning for the future. While looking forward, it is important to remember how far we have come and appreciate the sacrifices made by those that came before us. Sounds like you can see it in your head. Best of luck to you and yours as you bring your vision to reality. Excellent video!
Nice place ! I'm happy you and your bro,sis and the rest of the fam all love and get along . 👍🏻🇨🇦
I live on a farm and we have an apple tree right by the house you walk out the door and there is an apple tree right off to the side anyway we when we go to do chores in August or July we eat apples for breakfast and if we are baling hay or busy all day thats our dinner
Really interesting walk around your property and the barn. Thanks for the video Travis!
Thanks for the tour. Good to get these old barns on video.
Great video today! You are lucky to have your family close so they can help.
I love old barns even ours. When it comes time to tear down your barn could save some of the boards for other projects like picture frames.
Man I'd love to find an old farm like that I could afford. I'd fix it up and use it for Jerseys.
My family tore down the old dairy barn but kept the milk house and put a shower, washer and dryer in there to keep all the manure clothing out of the house. Also had a Hotsy inside that you could run the hose outside to wash equipment and a fridge and couch with a tv. Looks like the same old milk house on the outside but when you get inside looks like a modern man cave.
Thanks for sharing Travis have a great day stay safe out there
I really enjoyed this video. That smaller barn where the milk tank was would make a great spot for a nice walk n cooler and butcher shop for your family 🥩
Thanks for sharing Travis
That was interesting, especially the family thing, I'd like to think if I had a family that cared like your does,,but I didn't..keep up your stories, much appreciated... :))
Hello Travis , Yes family is what it is about , we still have family reunions of over a 100 easy every year and my grand father started it 35 years ago , that's what its about , love old barn to i seen some really old axe cut beams in there , take care see ya next time
The barn seen better days but did its job! Great video
I love those old barns
Awesome video! Thanks Travis
Awesome video Travis.
Nice little tour
Man what a great barn great vid
Family is first always.
Great video
Awesome video Travis thanks for the tour of the barn. I was wondering if u could do a video of the silos at your place sometime just asking. Thanks again keep up the great work!!! Have a good one
I don’t know where I’d be without my family. Certainly wouldn’t own our home for starters. And they’ve been vital in raising our kids. You just need people you can count on to help in your life.
I hope you can take down that barn soon, she really looks like she is on last legs. I do not know how you took care of so many caves in that small space. Thank you for sharing.
enjoyed the video travis thanks
The milk tank and stuff have been removed. Good video thanks for tilling your story of your Younger years of starting of farming on your own. Don't tear down the barn it's not a farm with out a barn .
Great video like all the others! I also enjoy the intro because when I would play your other videos out loud my family would think I was watching a kids show😂😂😂😂 no offense. We farm in rice lake 45 minutes south of way Claire just finished planting
Rice Lake, WI?
Like the video Travis .
Hate them, Love them, Yell at them, Hug them. In the end Family is Family
I just saw this did not know you got a video of the barnbefore it came down!
Hey Travis!!
It's just a family farm operation and I'm glad your's works well! It's really just about family because I would drop anything that I am doing to go and take care of another family and they would do the same for me. Great vid! Thanks.
Travis like you said can't refurbish that barn if anything turn it to storing hay but you don't make square bale anymore best thing to do is tear it down and build a cow or steer lot it's a shame but some barns have a sale by date and that one has met it's date.
I’d like to hear more about bottle calves. I have six myself and want to learn more about it!
Sounds like at some point you guys should get some plans together for the farms and rent a machine or two, and I should take a vacation in Wisconsin lol
Great story and history. Maybe you need to get some of your subscribers to come down and help you tear the barn down 😉.
Cool barn! Sad to see it go but it would cost a lot to fix it. And what could you use it for. Up in North Dakota we don't have a as many old barns. I drove up in that area a few years ago and there was a lot of old family farms. Great video love the rest of the story! Keep up the great work! And could we see more of your place Thanks
Don’t tear down it has so much history of your guys farm
You could sell all the good wood or keep it for projects. Then you could wprk from there.
I like old barns but they are from another time. A local tree recycler has torn down a big barn just down the road and he is using his big hammermill shredder to chew up the wood for mulch.
How many tie stalls were in this barn when they were using it?
My family has an old Post and beam dairy barn but we have to take it down cuz otherwise it will fall down pretty soon
Atta boy travis 👍
Nice video Travis what a interesting barn I never really seen a barn like that before. How many cows were milked in the barn back in the day
50
Nice vido Travis. Love seeing how the old farm dairy was done. It was quite enjoyable. But your right in the fact that the barn has outlived it's usefulness. Yes, you probably need to tear down the barn because you are trying to raise beef cows and steers, which require a different type of set up. The potential is there, just takes time and (of course) money to do what you want and/or need to get there. Love the video, love you content....
Howdy
Thanks for the tour of the barn's lower level. I can't disagree with anything you said: there's a lot to do to get your farm up to the operational status you desire. Maybe it's a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway. How the heck did they get the bulk tanks out of the milk houses at your respective farms without tearing out walls? Were the tanks just that small that they could fit through the doors? I remember how big the one my uncles use(d), and it would never fit through a door frame. We'll have to look back on this several years later to see how much has changed.
Why don’t you use the silos and have beef in the barn or in the leen to on the barn do you think you can’t fit your Sidcsteer in there
Would you still consider it for extra hay storage in the future, hate to see these old barns go
Nice video wish i could see that barn full of botyle cavles but technolagy is technolagy and somtimes it sucks.
When was that barn built? I have a shirt that says," If I have to explain, You wouldn't understand". I think that best explains what you were saying about family. Once again, AWESOME VIDEO!
Great vid .kust take on thing at a time to fix or make a new for it.now what you mean by family too.
Time for a more modern building, its reached the end of its useful life.
Take the chains off the barn cleaner trench.and use it for parts at your dads place.
Would it be plausible to buy another corn planter to get planting done quicker and buy another combine to get harvest done quicker?
You need to put 3/4 minus on your driveway
Kinda late on this video but how big is it ?
It could hold 45 head.
Eau Claire********
No reason to explain the family thing cause most farmers understand n get it cause that's how farms survive now n then !!
I have a dairy farmer and we have robots
Why don’t you put cows in it
Can't clean it out. Unless we do it by hand. No chance that's happening
