  • Colin Cowherd says it's time to rip off the bandaid and admit that it's over in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers' relationship with the Packers is fractured beyond repair from Colin's point of view, and he breaks down why he thinks Rodgers will never be able to see past Green Bay's decision to draft Jordan Love. Plus, Colin explains why San Francisco 49ers made the right decision by keeping Jimmy Garoppolo, and taking Trey Lance for their No. 3 overall draft pick over Mac Jones.

You see, eventually you get bored of mock drafts. Hosting a daily sports talk show is just like marriage. You need your partner to keep challenging, and engaging you. Eventually, you do so many mock drafts that the challenge just isn't there anymore. You get bored. Eventually, once you've done 3,000 mock drafts, you have to accept the spark is gone. You have to look mock drafts in the eye, and tell them, "I'm bored. This isn't working anymore. I need to complain about Baker Mayfield again." You have to know when it's over.

It’s a bit more nuanced than “lightly used WR”. Aaron had just come out and said how reliable he was in practice and the next day they released him without telling Rodgers. They moved up in the first round to take a backup QB, and then in rounds 2 and 3 they took a backup RB and a FB, just to barely use them and re-sign Jones anyway. Aaron has every reason to be mad. The organization probably would have won a SB this year if they had drafted a starter in rounds 1-3, whether that be a defender, or another WR.

    Two things Cowturd:
    1. Rodgers is trolling Greenbay. They offended his sensitiveness last year during the draft. So he's getting passive aggressive retribution. Rodgers has too much class to abandon his BFFs Davante Adams and David Backtiari.
    2. Bradshaw is 100% correct about Rodgers. If he really is this serious about threatening to retire or wants to leave or only plays if GM is fired then he really is a soft weak man. And we all see for certain that his family rift/feud is all his fault.

Rodgers should decide if he want to be a QB or GM. Can't be both, dude.

Players don’t need the QB to be or look like a physical specimen- the physical comparison segment was silly. The moment players see the QB can affectively understand the offense, distribute the ball and give them a better chance to win, they will buy in. Look at TB12, he looks like a 45 year old yoga instructor. He came in and immediately took over the locker room.

Deep down, this comes down to the fact that Aaron Rodgers has gone his whole career hearing how he throws such a pretty pass, how his statistics and QB rating are so high, and how he's "one of the greatest of all time!", but he's wondering why TB has 7 rings and he has only 1. Here's the difference - Tom Brady has the mind of a champion, and Aaron doesn't. That's all it comes down it. Take your life lessons from Tom, not Aaron. Aaron deflects the blame, points the finger, finds fault in everything but himself. Tom Brady looks inward.
