I saw on another video you are using visious fluro so i just recently ordered a spool of 10 lb. What main line are you running? How much and what pound fluro you running? I appreciate all your informational videos they have definitely helped me on my one trip a year.

I primarily use the VICIOUS Fluoro in 15lb. Test for our spring fishing!

Very good video! I noticed you are set up for big boards. I was wondering if there is a time to use the big board vs the inline boards? Thank you!

Good question! All of our boats are set up run big boards but we hardly ever use them anymore. Big boards are still really good for carrying heavier presentations. I have become accustomed to the flexibility of the smaller in-line boards.

Man, I love lake trout. They’ll chew when nothing else will.

Love the content Bill! I will be heading out this weekend, Hilton, Hamlin area for lakers. Being that there is not a ton of structure out there. Where would you suggest starting for getting lines wet in terms of feet of water. I plan on using Magnum dipseys with flashers and spin glows. Does this sound like it could be productive to you this time of year for lakers? Thanks!!

I would start looking in 30-40 feet of water. Last week we had the Lakers in 45-51ft. and we were catching them 35-38 ft down.

Thanks Bill! Am I able to buy some flashers and flies you recommend directly from you? I noticed in your videos you said something about being able to purchase some of your recommended tackle.@@BillSaiffOutdoors

What month was this? Late April early May?
And what port do leave out of?
Thinking of corralling the boys and booking an early spring trip but got busted a few times with bad winds that blew the lake into one solid temperature scattering fish, and turned into scarce hookups. Thank goodness for the power plant on days like those!!
Great video btw- love the instructional side of them!
Keep up the great work BS!

This was a mid-April trip on the South Shore. You can lose some days down there in the spring. There is no place to hide with heavy onshore winds. When we fish from Henderson Harbor in May, you have the option of fishing the back bays on rough days. Henderson can be good for Browns (in the bay) and all other backwaters contain Walleye. Pike, Pickerel etc....
