not generally a big fan of these kind of rambling unstructured videos (versus scripted/edited content) but i'll never complain about more twisted metal black content. easily one of the best games of all time, and id argue the high water mark of the car combat genre. the fact it plays so well at such a solid framerate on maps that are often pretty massive, and even holds pretty solid performance with 4 players in split screen is nothing short of astonishing. I think it doesn't get enough credit as a technical showcase of the ps2
bro the windows in that skyscraper are so high up. they're like 40 feet up. the first 4 stories of that are just a concrete bunker. Maybe those buildings are made for a world where psychos have kitted out battle cars? but no, you're right, they're made for giants.
32:23, That beeping noise you heard is a Charged Up Gas Can. There's a command to let you lay Gas Cans down on the ground, basically making them Remote Bombs. If you leave it on the ground long enough, you will start hearing that beeping sound, meaning it will do more damage once detonated or ran over by an enemy.
I forgot you can lay the gas cans down like that! I especially didn't know you could cook them. That's something I thought they came up with for TM2012.
Sweet Tooth's TM2 ending was actually a very elaborate joke. He wanted to be a bug so he could sneak around super easily. His bio is warning you about what he's capable of now. He's a bug now, but still just as good of a killer. That woman in his ending is his first victim in his new life. It's a good joke, but requires waaaaaay too much mental gymnastics to get.
Have you ever considered playing through War of the Monsters at any point? It was the sister game to TM: Black after all and it even has a Sweet Tooth skin for one of the characters.
@@dessadooIt's got a very similar structure to old school Twisted Metal. Pick a character, go through set stages and boss fights and get an ending. It even has Midtown as a map!
6:17: It's not just you, trust me lol 13:55: Personally I find zoomies easier to use since they come out instantly. A lot of times with the reticle equipped the AI does some weird movement or just hides behind a wall. Not having to wait 5 secs to use the zoomies means stuff like that happens less often. Also, zoomies can be rear-fired, which is pretty nice. I'm surprised you didn't mention the sat as it also does insane dmg. 22:02: I'm fine with it since if you had no cap on the amount of skill weapons you could have, it would encourage spamming them constantly which would lead to ppl using less of the other weapons. 25:07: AI used the mine trick against you lol 34:52: Worse than Iron Maiden? Why do you think that?
I didn't even consider that an enemy would leave a mine there lol. They really ruined my deathless run with that nonsense. I would definitely rather do Iron Maiden than Warhawk. I despise the nuke section, but other than that Iron Maiden is better than Warhawl imo.
Honestly, the only tips I have for Minion is stock up on power missiles and mega guns and just sit in a corner. Minion will eventually spin in circles and show you his panels. Also, most of the smaller cars can just rub against his side and avoid the damage from his flamethrower!
If Black's version of Sweet Tooth wasn't fat, I'd like him more. It's a personal thing for me, but I used to be fat myself and that's why I don't like fat characters. Now when most people think of Sweet Tooth he's always fat and I can't stand it. Oh well.
@@dessadoo My ideal Tooth would simply be a less chubby Black version. Him being big is really my main issue. I like his characterization, just not the look. If he was more Arnold, less Butterbean, I'd be fine with him.
Good to have ya back

I like your pfp good sir, it's like lookin' in a mirror.

The levels in Twisted Metal are totally insane if you think about how anyone would actually live in them lol.
I always thought Black was set in Detroit. Calypso bought the city.

Not only would I like to know why Needles Kane is missing an eye in Black but also why Calypso is as well..

I haven't played that before. Could be fun!

Iron Maiden is pretty bad but dislike Carnival of Carnage more. Wasn't really a Boss & most of it was a Slog

Damn you must love Black! Even I can’t play Black for over an hour at a time. Unless it’s online of course which you should play again sometime.
yes yap for us daddy drew
You play the game better than I do!!! do you have any tips on how to defeat minion? It’s my first time playing black.

He probably helps himself to a lot of ice cream and spends time on the down low, between killings.
This comment is extremely funny.
