- I received both of these Bertucci Performance Field Watches from Lifestyle shop last week and I wanted to see if these watches live up to the hype.
After spending a week with them I am impressed at how they manage to keep the cost down and offer so much.
The watches were supplied for review from: www.lifestyles...
I encourage you to sign up to their newsletter as they are constantly adding new and exciting products and reviews.

I own 3. Two of them for 10+ years. Not a lot of “bells & whistles”, but they’re tough and keep great time!
Good to know! I tell you what the black Ballista feels super rock solid, thanks for sharing Rodney, cheers
There you go. *Arguably,* anything else is superfluous
Can you change the strap on this two models?
Great review, i have been looking at Bertucci and you explained and shown the details i want to see in these watches. Thanks again.
I love the ballista. I own 2 a-1s( 36mm) and I love them. Would love to see a 36mm ballista in the future
You can find these anywhere. They're plastered all over Amazon and eBay.
casio forester field watch is made of hard plastic too. 100M WR and even LIGHT bulb inside ! i bot it even before Just one more watch reviewed it some years ago
Nice looking quartz one ! Thanks Peter for the honest review. I was missing your content. Stay safe !
Will do, we are back in lockdown here in Melbourne, so times have been a little tuff. Thanks brother, cheers
Bertucci. Good valve for the money. Just want to mention that the Gamekeeper has fixed lugs and can only be fitted with a pass through strap. I own a DX3 and had two others that I gifted to friends. Their straps are some of the best made and they do sell their straps separately (at least here in the USA).
Thanks for that, yes I forgot to mention about the fixed lugs. Great watches though, cheers
@@PeterKotsa In addition..... I dislike pass through straps so I cut my strap in two and made a two piece. I then sewed each piece around each lug. It's permanent but I don't expect to swaps straps. It also keeps the watch close to the wrist instead of the higher profile when wearing a thick pass through or nato.
@@mgb1971 Same with my Marathon but it doesn't bother me, well made but only NATO's and single pass through which is better for this watch.
hey just wanted to say really enjoying your videos. keep up the great work.
Thanks Kane, I appreciate your well wishes. Thank you and I will :)
Bertucci is one step up from Timex Expedition. I'd choose the plastic case than brass. My Timex brass case hates my sweat.
I’ve always wondered about brass. Thanks for sharing 👍
It literally erodes over time. Not a durable material for a daily watch.
Hi there Peter. The Ballista puts me in mind of my Marathon Pilot's Navigator (an excellent piece). Real food for thought and I can see a Gamekeeper being ordered in the near future. Thanks for another excellent review.
Thanks Alex, yeah you're right, one of my viewers left a message saying he already ordered one of the watches after watching this video, he didn't need a watch but couldn't resist the price, which i agree with him, just over $100 bucks and you've got yourself a field watch beater. cheers
@@PeterKotsa I know in the US Long Island Watches sells them and is an AD. I've seen several reviews on them from Marc at LIW. They are good to deal with and backs up what he sells, and he's one state away so same time with the free shipping then paying for 2 day or overnight. And he does ship internationally unless brand restricted. Some US versions of Orient he can't ship outside if the US do to an AD agreement.
Thanks Pete. I just ordered one. I didn't need another watch but it was such good value, I just had to buy it. Thanks to David at lifestyle shop for the quick easy transaction.
Brilliant, which one did you get?
@@PeterKotsa I got the DX3 Plus. Not the ones you reviewed as I already have a black pvd Seiko. So this one is field green.
while some people prefers automatic, but for field watch . it might be better to be a quartz for tougher field and rough field/ impact resistance or performance ... if we don't want an analogue one, which is not why we are here, we should just get a G shock.
Agreed. A solid quart analog watch gives you the versatility a digital watch dose not
Good to see you back with more great content. Love your work mate
Much appreciated! Lockdown isn't helping as you well know...stay safe
@@PeterKotsa it is anything but helpful to be confined to one's home around the clock. Looking forward to catching up with you once things lift 🤝
Great review. Just bought myself the A2S thanks to your review. Also just subscribed. 😬
Congrats on the purchase and welcome aboard 👍
Interesting review for an underrated field brand.
Cool looking watches , prefer the stealthy look of the Ballista ........ Interested to see the weight - 82 grams is a beast :D my Boldr Venture (titanium , NH35, $299) on a marine nationale weights in at 58 grams :)
You can't beat Titanium for a super featherweight, excellent !!!
지금 ballista쓰고 있는데 아주 마음에 듭니다ㅎ 정말 좋은 시계예요
G'day Peter! Another outstanding review video with a little bit of rebranding as I have noticed. These are really nice watches, perhaps noticeable at a second glance. First I noticed the excellent finishing of the straps. I'm wondering if the black coating of the stealth model withstands some strain before showing marks, especially at the edges. One remark though: I've enjoyed the laid back piece of music at the end of your previous videos more than this piece of a little bit more stirred up music.Cheers!
G'day Alexander, I think the coating is as strong as any PVD on other brands, actually it looks pretty tuff on this watch and could be more durable due to the fact that it is field specific. As for the music, thanks for the feedback, I am experimenting with different types of moods..thanks for sharing bro.
Hey Alex. I noticed a few little added details after a bit of looking too. The chapter ring seemed to be stepped on the black S/S version as well.
A fine watch for the $.
It's not for me - at least not for the moment but I have friends and family who could use that piece every weekend.
I like the long lugs too.
A great place of kit!
@@anthonysmith2982 I suppose its probably a great beater go anywhere sort of a watch. hassle free and can take the abuse ( like a G shock) but more refined in looks.
Peter Kotsa Agreed mate. I have an old Invicta (...I know!) that has a lot of sentimental value that fills that space for me.
@@anthonysmith2982 nothing wrong with that..for sure
Nice video again Pete. Take care in Melbourne mate.
Yeah lockdown is a bummer at the moment, but getting trough it, cheers
After watching your review, I'm off to bid on a Gamekeeper on Ebay. Wish me luck! ( new sub)
Welcome aboard , thanks for the sub and Good luck with the bids...Cheers !!
Are they located in the USA
The company is, but lifestyle shop is here in Australia and they are an authorised seller 👍
The watches are assembled in USA (Illinois). I own a few. Love them! 👍🇺🇲👍
That swiss illumination designation on the dial is very strange. It is like they just wanted to get the word on there somehow.
I think you're right, its all advertising at the end of the day isn't it?
