I remember getting hotel hell and I had Rush Hour on and I'm not kidding, Rush didn't appear ONCE in the ENTIRE RUN except the greenhouse, which was around 2-3 times. So it was definitely bugged.
I think that once they fix the modifier bugs, it will be hard again UPDATE - I played doors with modifiers and used worst time ever with rush hour and rush literally spawned so much even in dark rooms. So im pretty sure that the modifiers (or maybe only some of them) might have been fixed!
i beated Hotel hell and it's not Easy. However, with all this, it is not as difficult as I imagined. I used a flashlight only once in 100 doors and I felt creepy because from one mistake I could lose the whole run. However, even with this, I can’t say that Hotel hell is ULTRA difficult, you just need to choose those modifiers that are suitable for the you (player). And not to choose those suggested modifiers in various guides.
it is easy because there are like infinite broken mods, first off if u have a friend that has hh and makes an elevator with again x3, ambush pretty much only spawns at door 7 only (which is a free 25%), not only that again x3 disables screech (unless im everywhere is activated) so u can use think faster for an actual free 10%, then rush hour is completely broken as rush never spawns, pretty much the best set for hh run is easier than the base game

The trick for not five stars or hotel heck is to pick mods that suit you. Example: I SUCK at figure. If I enabled the mod that makes figure run faster, I’d die. But, I’m really good at seek, so if I enabled Seek runs faster, then I’d be much better off.
I think hotel hell was pretty easy after getting used to being swarmed by entities. When i first started rush would always kill me but something that helped a lot was memorizing the closet layout. It was pretty difficult bc closets dont always spawn in the same spot but this trick saved me so many times bc even if it was dark and i couldnt see as long as ik what room im in i can head over to where a closet could have spawned and i wont be running around all lost and stuff but its only a chance a closet would spawn so sometimes i didnt make it lol. Also another good trick is intead of going thru all the doors and hiding when u hear something just travel from closet to closet as some entities can spawn ANYTIME (like rush and ambush) so its better to consistently camp a closet and also when u open the door run back to the closet or go the one in the next room if there is (also heads up about rush but i noticed he has these double attacks where he comes by the first time but then like 3 or 4 doors later he comes hella silent and wont make noise idk if its a bug or what)

Imo Door 100 feels a lot easier now , as you can get closer to Figure , just make sure not to use an item that makes sound like a Flashlight or Lighter and don’t stay in one room for too long
Especially the room on the right because there is nowhere you can go he can get you if you are in the back corner and there are racks blocking you from the door
tried to do hotel hell with every modifier unlocked besides Nfs and Hotel hell. i wouldve made it if i hadn't unfairly died to rush on door 96 (while i was holding a crucifix)
Rush is so unfair 90-100, I got snared, rush came, i also held out my crucifix, but once I hid, rush got me since the fudgen game put the crucifix back in the inventory
honest opinion? hotel hell and not five stars were fairly more doable back then compared to now a good amount of modifiers back then were bugged, essentially giving players free mods we could combine others with for a smooth but still fairly difficult gameplay i've had the achievement within the first month or two, and id say honestly it was pretty neat. not the best but still playable. though, best luck to those who are attempting now !!!
I wouldn't say door got any easier, nor harder. 1) figure has been balanced 2) the greenhouse was reworked making it easier to pass through 3) candle is basically useless until you put it inside of a rift
I did what you did, except I threw in the rooms entities and added more snares. I didn't have golbino's payday on and got a lot more knobs because of it, and in my opinion, was easier then this run since I never seen a-120 and got a-60 like twice throughout the whole run. I also made figure faster, which was fine since you can avoid him pretty easily. It let me have 14 modifiers and a lot of knobs. You should try it!
I didn't take easiest not five stars, i actually took modifiers with 75% (i wanted train to counter rush, ambush, screech/dark rooms, etc) but hotel hell still must be harder
full square means you turn the switch number on. example: 4 full square. you turn the 4th switch on. if the square is empty. you leave it turned off. example: 9 empty square leave 9 off. also. try to act as fast as possible as later on it becomes faster. this also goes with all 10 numbers. the last one you have to guess a number. (or figure it out by the numbers you already have the answer to) hope this helped.
I do Hotel Hell yesterday, for me it isn't less hard, because the rush low spawn rate is common in Hotel Hell, it was happening before floor 2. Btw, some modifiers that isn't worth: Key key key(locked and loaded have less locked rooms ang give nearly the 15% of Key key key), out of stuff and El goblino Payday(for me, isn't worth because you can't heal and have no light source, i use less gold an less stuff, because the airband can appear and you can heal and you can get gold and got the skeleton key to get the plant. Not have light modifier, i use bad eletrical work, because its 10% for some more rooms darker, its a worth modifier.)

I believe the little corner beside the lock still works. Other than that and the desk though I believe Figure can randomly walk anywhere (especially when someone is sitting there). However he can still enter them if he hears you.
When i finally won Hotel Hell on the same run door 100 was super easy because i did the glitch to trap figure inside the eletrical room and then i got all the switches and as soon as i put the switches in the eletrical box i knew i had won and i did
Lemme tell you the free knob modifiers : Battle of Wits (just abuse the bug where you can look outside and can see the dupe room) Stop right there (a-90 is ezzzzzzz to counter) Key key key key (just run takes longer) It can run too (seek is faster but you still beat it if you make no mistake) Soundproofing and gone fishing (no need to tell anything) Nosey (just look down...) El goblinos payday and out of stuff (you can play without any items yea?) Back for seconds (ambush is easy after the less rebound nerf) These are the modifiers i know for now but DO NOT ACTIVATE *Come Back Here* cuz it gives figure an extra effect that he can hear yoır heartbeat near even further
out of stuff and el goblino's payday are basically free +15% each since the game is ez without items (greenhouse is MUCH brighter after the mines) and gold is just for knobs and jeff shop so it's useless + those mods combined make looting useless as hell
Dunno if I'm just good at seek is if it's bugged, but i can do seem chase pretty well with it can run with or without gone fishing (gone fishing is free aside from 100, lost too many runs because they just were not easy to find at all)

there is a bug for free 25% ( need a friend with hotel friend) put again again again (ambush) and screech think fast/faster and when first ambush appears there will no more screechs (game consideres ambush always in game so u can't revive)
fun fact 3 days after floor 2 released on doors I did a hotel hell run with 2 ambush modifiers and rush hour with additional modifiers. I only got rush after door 86 while the 6 ambushes i encountered were before door 86. Plus figure got stuck in door 100 so i easily beat hotel hell 4th try.
I got hotel hell BEFORE it was easy. Aka, before floor 2. People got hotel hell easily becuz the devs probably made greenhouse SLIGHTLY easier. And that’s why many people seem to get it with no problem. Either way, one of the greatest badges to ever be held on display. 👍
Just wanted to say, if you use "key key key key", your run would be so free. Rush and Ambush will never spawn [in some rooms they might], because they are NOT supposed to spawn in locked rooms. So GO AHEAD AND BEAT HOTEL HELL WITH KEY KEY KEY KEY BEFORE IT GETS PATCHED
I wouldn’t say it’s easy it’s still incredibly hard mainly because of the entities spanning way more often but I swear ambush spawned WAY more than rush it still took me 2 weeks of attempts to beat it so it ain’t easy easy but it’s still hard
0:45 i legit avoid locked and loaded just for these specific rooms.. I HATE THEM SO MUCH which is why i prefer other modifiers which allow me to go 27x faster than using locked and loaded

they should add a modifier for dread that reduces the amount of time in a room for it to spawn like 3 minutes
One that makes it spawn almost instantly if no other entity attacks

yes. Usually you need achievements using the Cross against entities
you should use lower graphics more it helps the game run as smoothly as possible and reduces lag in seek chase fight which kinda makes you faster

If one staircase is blocked, stay in the corner next to it. The drawer area with the paper is also safe as long as you don't move.

Dunno if I'm just good at seek is if it's bugged, but i can do seem chase pretty well with it can run with or without gone fishing (gone fishing is free aside from 100, lost too many runs because they just were not easy to find at all)

In floor 2 rush can sometimes come from the front
there is a bug for free 25% ( need a friend with hotel friend) put again again again (ambush) and screech think fast/faster
and when first ambush appears there will no more screechs (game consideres ambush always in game so u can't revive)
Tip: don’t hide in the rooms only hide in the closets because I died at door 100 because of that
The only thing that has recently killed me is my friend (who made me carry him) stood up in library when with me 😭😭
rush hour is the more freebee than nowhere to hide i swear rush spawns like 5 times, 4 of those being greenhouse.
I got hotel hell in second try
fun fact 3 days after floor 2 released on doors I did a hotel hell run with 2 ambush modifiers and rush hour with additional modifiers. I only got rush after door 86 while the 6 ambushes i encountered were before door 86. Plus figure got stuck in door 100 so i easily beat hotel hell 4th try.
IDK, doors is just easy for me (but i keep dying on door 100 ( yes the entire game is easy including floor 2 but door 100 hates me ))
I got hotel hell BEFORE it was easy. Aka, before floor 2. People got hotel hell easily becuz the devs probably made greenhouse SLIGHTLY easier. And that’s why many people seem to get it with no problem. Either way, one of the greatest badges to ever be held on display. 👍
hotel hell is Too easy now, literally a group of people are getting hotel hell on a daily basis

Just wanted to say, if you use "key key key key", your run would be so free.
Rush and Ambush will never spawn [in some rooms they might], because they are NOT supposed to spawn in locked rooms. So GO AHEAD AND BEAT HOTEL HELL WITH KEY KEY KEY KEY BEFORE IT GETS PATCHED

Today i just got rents due, and it takes about 25 seconds for me to get kicked out, it is really useful for ambush and rush
I wouldn’t say it’s easy it’s still incredibly hard mainly because of the entities spanning way more often but I swear ambush spawned WAY more than rush it still took me 2 weeks of attempts to beat it so it ain’t easy easy but it’s still hard
Rush comes more and ambush comes more probably made those two bugged cus mine ambush appeared like 9 times but rush only once lol

Walking on mobile is so painfull it's like you can't really controll the movement
0:45 i legit avoid locked and loaded just for these specific rooms.. I HATE THEM SO MUCH
which is why i prefer other modifiers which allow me to go 27x faster than using locked and loaded
