Why she has so little respect for herself that she feels she deserves to be treated lesser than a dog! Where in the Bible does it say this is permissible? This is inhumane...insanity! RUBBISH!
The husband: Because he needs to find what it is that drives him to think that because he is head of the house this means he is to disrespect and abuse his wife! Who taught him to treat his wife this way? What gives him this right? Is this cultural teaching? Did he grow up seeing his mother beaten by his father & learn this is what he should do? How can the Church, the Law, the community uphold this kind of physical/mental abuse? He also has anger issues & needs professional spiritual AND psychological counseling--apart from his wife!
Where in the Bible does it teach that a husband should so savagely beat & disrespect his wife & that she should allow it? Should she stay in the marriage & allow him to beat her to death?!!! I want no part of anything/anyone that/who teaches this kind of violence!!!

It easy to say there is no divorce in marriage probably because we are not in their shoes but Jesus said the Israelites were permitted because their hearts were heardened... more like out of wisdom Moses allowed them to part ways with the spouses they were no longer comfortable to live with. Yes it was not so from the beginning but wisdom is profitable to direct. If someone is very comfortable beating someone he loves, what then is left in the marriage?

Hahaha! "spirituality is not tantamount to being unkempt" I hope many believers can learn from this quote and revival their marriages.
While divorce is not biblical it is not Gods will for women to experience violence. The Bible admonished us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Separation would be necessary for the woman’s safety. If the husband loves his wife then he should be willing to go for anger management and marital counseling which shows that he definitely wants to change. We must be willing to forgive our husbands when they have truly made a change. Continued pastoral counseling and support will sustain a marriage on its way back from the brink of disaster. When a wife knows her husband is prone to rage she should pray for the ability to respect her husband and not shout on him or challenge him.

How is that Biblical? Where in the BIBLE does it say to stay in an abusive marriage? Because you say no separation but let me tell you if the abuse continues they will really be separated when he kills her. A lady in my country, Trinidad, died last week same circumstance. After years of abuse church people telling her stay and work on the marriage guess what happen? Husband chopped her up in front their 8 YEAR OLD son then kills himself.....two kids now have zero parents. As Believers we ought to follow the BIBLE, but we should also demonstrate wisdom which by the way is BIBLICAL.

My answer to Divorce or separation is in order for the man not to kill the woman she should separate from him but keep praying earnestly for him until God touches his heart and he is definitely changed and repentant. Divorce is definitely not an option as God HATES divorce. Why would you want to touch something that God hates? If she sincerely prays for him, God is a prayer answering God and He is faithful and just to change him and re-unite them

If both of you get married as a Christian, the heaven has ordain you as husband and wife, what God has joined together let no man put asonder, but this case is different, there both unbeliever when they get married, so the perfect bible verses for this issue is 1 cor 7vs12- 16, for me is a matter of choice, let the woman choose, for her life sake.

Concerning the issue of separation and divorce i think there's a difference.When they are SEPARATED they are still legally married even though they are living apart,so there are chances they can resolve their differences to either continue with the marriage or finally settle on DIVORCE......Divorce here means no longer husband and wife.
But there's a place in the bible 1 Corinthian 7vs from 11 to 15 talking about this only if they can abide by the instructions of the scripture......In a nutshell God has called us to PEACE

Concerning separation and divorce.
I advice that the couple separate as they sort out their differences,through counselling and prayers.
This is very important as there is threat to life and the matter whether to or not will be a thing of the past when through battery the man finally kills his wife. The issue will now be murder or homicide with grievous consequences to him and grief to her family. So which is better to spare life and work things out or to keep living together so the issue never gets settled but compounded?
Please any spouse been battered should live outside the environment of battery, till triggers of same are settled and overcome.
Divorce may be necessary depending on the circumstance although, the bible is against it.
This is so heartbreaking. Many men and women are caught up in terrible relations such as this and are in need of help. Many have become disabled or even lose their lives to this.
In this kind of situation where there is spousal physical abuse to the point of threat to life, I will advise temporary separation. This will enable the couple to seek further counselling and solutions to the problem.

I would have packed my clothes, taken my kids and left that man's house for him.I would have not come back until this man became a true man of God. Good morning oga boss. Psalm 11:3 says "...if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do..." The lady made a mistake after she gave her life to Jesus. She shouldn't have continued the relationship since she's now a new creation. Amos 3:3 says can two work together except they be agreed? 2Corinthians 6: 14-18 says we believers should not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.... However, God change night to day, and a day to night. God can turn things around overnight, which we can seeing happening in this video. It’s very risky at this point for them to continue to live together as a couple since the man is very abusive. I believe they should separate immediately. The wife should undergo some kind of treatment for her battered body and emotions while the man should undergo anger management. More importantly they should surrender their lives to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to direct their lives. They will now evaluate the relationship whether they can still live together as a married couple or not.

When God said in Malachi 2;16 about how He hates divorce, God is referring to us as his children on earth ,our unfaithfulness toward Him. Divorce from someone who you should not have any relation with is permissible where uneven yoke is the issue. Separation is allowed when two people of the same faith joined together according to God purpose, as the enemy is attacking through their weaknesses, restoration period is needed through separation. Well after 2 divorce ,from which God has allowed so that i can become an ambassador for marrying the man whose i was fashioned for as an helper.

For my own opinion on this question is that,since the wife is converted to a Christian and the husband is not converted, she can't separate her self from the man,because if she separate her self from the husband,the husband mighty easily take another woman because the husband is not converted and not God fearing,so I think separating her self from the husband will bring more harm,I suggest she stay and continues praying for her husband.

I believe in separation. Why?? Because when they married they were unbelievers, but one received Christ later. According to 1 Corinthians 7:10-17. He had a problem with her new life in Christ. Which is why he beat her, that was the enemy in him coming against her faith. She has to forgive him and let the Father do the work, but that don't mean they are to be together. Remember our Father wants peace in our lives! Then he later cheats her and bring the woman in the home. Although he didn't have children with her, which is the only grounds for divorce, they still can be separated!

I agree, not a divorce but an angry husband who beats his wife (or even rapes her...yes, it happens, literal rape), but a separation. Not even necessarily legal separation unless she's unemployed or under-employed. So if he won't pay alimony or bills for her or kids, then she may need some legal meditation. However I'm from America & I never hear of child support or alimony or even rights of woman addressed in Nigerian movies. Are there any legal rights for woman in Nigeria? Why is it that a man can throw wife out of house in Nigerian & keep (or not) keep kids, just like that? Why do his parents have more control (or seem to) over whether she stays or leaves house...unless the truth is that he doesn't really own house, and his parents do? It really is hard for us westerners to understand some of the plots, yet we love them. I LOVE the Nigerian culture, pls dont hear me wrong. In fact, I love the modest & beautiful appearel women wear, esp matching with their husband's. I wish I knew how you go from shopping for material to making such exquisite outfits. I never see a scene of any sewing. Do all ladies sew? Or go to tailors? I'd love to know since everything custom fits. We just got in African fabrics at our store in USA, Ohio where I live. It is the most expensive fabric in store aside from leather and couch coverings. And it is still not as beautiful as any outfit colors I've ever seen on these movies. It is very dark, not anything light. I love the bright colors. Pls, tell me how, or where I can, not only buy these fabrics, but learn how to sew these elegant dresses. They range from $250-$400 pre-made online. And I doubt they'd fit with the perfection they do these ladies. What a great business. There must be other ladies who feel like me about your modest, yet exceptional fashion. However, Im disabled and couldn't afford even one. But I could sew one. I respect you all so much. These films have shown me how a woman ought to behave godly and fear God & revere her husband. I love Jesus. And you all from Bro Mike & Ma Gloria & you and your wife sir/ma are MISSIONARIES to us westerners. Being disabled, I have watched EVERYTHING. MORE THAN ONCE. She needs to leave, take time and stay with people who can help her pray and seek God’s counsel on the matter. But honestly it doesn’t mean that just because are married, that they are right for each other. They both got married as unbelievers, he remained an unbeliever so it’s okay for her to leave and find peace elsewhere. God doesn’t want his children suffering but all things work out for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Also

Hmm! The church has been very sneaky about the issues of divorce. In as much as the Bible is against Divorce, God will also want us to be alive to fulfill his mandate upon our lives. God is interested in marriage which is one reason he gave Eve to Adam.
Personally, I think the church only focuses on Matthew 5 :31-32, 1Cor 7:39, Mark 10:2-12, Mat 19:6-7 and Genesis 2:24 in kicking against divorce. Undoubtedly, many chapters spoke up against divorce as it relates to sexual immorality and not to abuse. What we forget to consider is that even though the Bible mentioned that Divorce should only take place on the account of "sexual Immorality", that physical/emotional abuse is worse than sexual in physical realm. Let me explain this point, spiritually speaking sexual immorality destroys the body(1Cor 3:17); but physical and Emotional abuse terminates a person's life therefore halting God's Destiny in the life of that Person. And I do not expect everyone to agree with this point, because some will say the Bible says in Romans 11:4 that God has reserved for himself seven thousands men who have not bowed their heads/knees to Baal or any image( Emphasis, mine), does it mean that God wishes us to perish? well, before you answer do not forget to remember God's promises in Jeremiah 29:11. my point- it is not the will of God for anyone to die untimely.... especially being beaten to death that could be preventable.
Let's even consider Jesus statement in Mark 10:11 "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her" Did anyone catch "against her" not against God. Scriptually argumentable, they are no longer two but one flesh, technically the one who commits adultery does it to his/her body. Again it says what God has joined together, let no man seperate(Mat 19:6). Now my question is did God join every Marriage? God is not an author of confusion.... he cannot contradict himself. Some marriages were joined by greed and selfish desire and this does not mean that those who find theirselves in it should die inside of it because of their mistakes. Our God is always forgiven, full of mercy and compassionate. I am not making a case for divorce, Please don't judge me base on this, I strongly believe God's words but its high time our Christian circle begin to prevent some premature deaths by seperating for the Lord those who are in an abusive marriage.
Let me share an example, a survey conducted in 2021 in American and some articles have cited the death of many Clergy due to issues in marriage & mental Health. Some just decided that sucide is the only way out; this is because the church would not hear about divorce neither will it allow them to continue with their ministry after divorce. So end game - Sucide. Another area I wish to touch on is this stigma placed on those who are divorced - the thought that the church treat them like outcast or would not allow them serve is absurd. Who makes us judges over others? For this single reason Christians who find themselves entrangled in the marriage saga chooses to die in an abusive marriage rather than stay alive to serve God. A question for everyone - Does marriage make a person righteous?
There are certain topics that are not very clear or rather largely spoken of in the scripture, Divorce is one of them. The church should not be silent about it; if God is not pleased with the death of the Wicked (Ezekiel 33:11, should he then be pleased with the death of the righteous who died untimely?
My take, when dwelling on the scriptures that do not support divorce let us take into consideration scriptures that speaks of God's plan and promises in our lives. Let us not only wait for when sexual immorality is involved but spiritually and physically analyse the consequences of physical and emotional abuse. May God help us all.

Legally, divorce and separation are different. In law, it is called judicial separation. Judicial separation allow couples to remain married though living separately. Judicial separation allows the couple to return as married couples if their differences are resolved.
The Bible did not specifically speak about separation. Some couples though married are living a separated life. I believe God hates both.
Except the life of a party to a marriage is at risk and separation is necessary, the Bible admonishes that the wife should relate in love with her husband and just maybe her love and submission will win his soul over to God.
