Beautiful sounds 🎶 Ray was superb, and this shows how much keyboard work was printed on the tape for the second album, which also contains more overdubs due to now having 8 tracks to play with. There's also no fender keyboard bass, which would only be used live after the first album. Interestingly, there's a Hammond with Leslie on strange days, which you don't hear again until L.A. woman. And then there's upright piano, lots of backwards piano, his regular Vox Continental ( i think) & a harpischord. Other than the Vox, i suspect the other instruments were specific to the studio that was used at the time of the sessions , which I think was sunset sound. There's the odd overdub from Robbie's guitar, but that's possibly due to running out of tracks or possibly a 'why not add another..' idea from someone in the band or the producer, Paul Rothchild.
Strange days have found us Strange days have tracked us down They're going to destroy Our casual joys We shall go on playing or find a new town Yeah! Strange eyes fill strange rooms Voices will signal their tired end The hostess is grinning Her guests sleep from sinning Hear me talk of sin And you know this is it Yeah! Strange days have found us And through their strange hours We linger alone Bodies confused Memories misused As we run from the day To a strange night of stone
Unhappy girl Left all alone Playing solitaire Playing warden to your soul You are locked in a prison Of your own device And you can't believe What it does to me To see you Crying Unhappy girl Tear your web away Saw through all your bars Melt your cell today You are caught in a prison Of your own device Unhappy girl Fly fast away Don't miss your chance To swim in mystery You are dying in a prison Of your own device
@@gwobmleOh I love it. I think it’s a great segue into Moonlight Drive, moving from anxiety and turmoil to a shockingly positive feeling towards committing suicide in a very slow and uncomfortable way. I wouldn’t listen to it on its own but in the context of the record I think it’s very powerful.
Entiendo que sos de Perú. Me encantaría escuchar algún discazo de Charly García solamente con teclados - seguro que le conoces a su música. Saludos desde Australia!

There is hammond on "The Soft Parade" (Wild Child, Do it, Title Track and the omitted Who Scared You) also on Maggie mcgill from "Morrison hotel"

Sounds great.
This is so nice. Can you also make keyboards only for their debut album too?
Qué pasada es I Can't See Your Face in My Mind, psicodelia pura en los dedos de Ray Manzarek
Siii
mi favorita del álbum
the hammond sounds like an "electric shower" in Strange Days track......fantastic....
I have always had a similar thought!!!! Always sounds like running water to me. Sounds so amazing.
@@chriss3838used a moog synth on that too
There was no Hammond
Yes, it is.
And the fist album, in studio, is not Vox organ. It's another brand.
how did i JUST notice horse latitudes was missing lol
No importants keyboard parts on Horse Latitudes
@@deardre i havent found a single person who likes horse latitudes anyways xD
@@gwobmle hahahahahahaa
Other than plucking strings inside a piano, there aren't any keyboards on Horse Latitudes.
