For understanding various perspectives within the sects of Trinitarian Protestant Pentecostalism, all three of these are excellent study Bibles with many useful helps in spite of those doctrinal issues that I have with their theologies, and I'm grateful for the well-used second hand copies that I have (my Dake was my paternal grandmother's life-long primary study and teaching Bible, which I inherited on my father's passing, it being one of my most prized possessions-I still weep at times as I read her voluminous hand-written notes). Of course, if one could afford only one study Bible, I'd refer them to either the Apostolic or Premiere study bibles depending on personal preference in the presentation, with their second being the other of these two. Great review!
I LOVE Life in the Spirit- reading the notes in Exodus currently since I was in that book in my one year reading plan (now Leviticus so gotta hurry LOL!)
I have a Dake Bible and a Life in the Spirit Bible, both in genuine leather. The Dake Bible has TONS of lists and references, plus a full concordance and cyclopedic index, so it makes a great study Bible, especially in the original language references and their translations. But some of it is obscure, as I said in a different comment. The Life in the Spirit Bible is Pentecostal to the max! Great Bible to read and study from. The articles are numerous and contain a wonderful synthesis of the Spirit-filed life. Thanks for the review. I always enjoy your content.
I have the Fire Bible ESV (Life in the Spirit) and it's AMAZING! It has tons of info in it for people to get a better grip on the Word of God. The Life in the Spirit Bible is just KJV only, but if you get the Fire Bible, it will be in different translations. I recommend it if you want to expand on your study Bible collections or if you want this to be your first one.
the Fire Bible.. is pretty much the exact replica of the FULL LIFE bible.. that was originally released around 1992... the page lay out is the same.. the Life in the Spirit.. bible is the next generation of the Full LIFE bible.. yet though the notes are the same .. the page layout has totally changed.. I did not care for that version (2nd generation) of the FULL LIFE because of the page layout... yet the text notes are the same.. but I found it more difficult to follow.. the FIRE bible (third generation of the FULL LIFE bible).. returned to the same page layout as the original FULL LIFE.. and at the price .. the FIRE bible is a great bible for the money.. I would recommend it... when I was able to buy them new in leather from a seller on ebay a couple years back I bought 4 of them and gave them out to fellow believers...now they are a little bit more...pricey.......fyi... the FULL LIFE when it was a available.. was made with a higher grade of leather....but I did not buy the original FULL LIFE bible new for .as low of price...my advice. to bible hunters.. vy the vivle you want before they get scarce!

Fire Bible is the most balanced, scholarly and reliable of the three. However, many Pentecostal preachers I knew as a young person (I'm now 71) used and only used the Scofield Bible. On a side note-it interesting to me how many pentecostals carry, read and study from a Bible that has notes from the Reformed perspective (Calvinism). I would urge every Pentecostal to discard or put aside for reference only those types of study Bibles and pick up one of these three Bibles. And I would recommend the Fire Bible.
My elderly brain has a difficult time following along with the three Bible shuffle, so I will have to stick with the single Bible reviews or at most two Bible comparisons. Lots of great information, but I admit that this old mind just ain't what it used to be!
I have both.. I can tell you the inside.. looks identical.. but the FULL LIFE used better quality leather.. I don t think the FULL LIFE is NOT very easy to find nowadays in the genuine leather kjv version.. however
you may wish to buy the FIRE BIBLE instead...it is the same bible as the Life in the Spirit.. yet the format returns to the format of the FULL LIFE bible.. the (1st generation.). I believe it is easier to follow the study notes..

Excellent Presentation! Of course, my favorite Pentecostal Study Bible is ... The KJV Thompson Chain Reference Bible! Hehehe Pastor Thompson was a old line Methodist, Pre-Pentecostal Holiness. However, of the three you compared, I probably would recommend the New Spirit-Filled Study Bible to a new Christian. Dake's, the Best and Worst study Bible, as I always say, is a gold mine for the discipled Christian despite the questionable notes. The Life In Spirit Bible I can't complain about, but after looking through it, I still prefer the New Spirit-Filled Bible. I have an older 4 column Dakes, but the new three column version might be good for me to pick up since the racist notes have been reviewed. The pastor I've known for over 30 years recommends the older Spirit-Filled Life Bible over the New one, though that is his pulpit bible. He's the one I mentioned who is friendly to Oneness Pentecostals despite being Trinitarian. Many Trinitarians and Oneness Pentecostals would not like this, but I was baptized with both Jesus Name and the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Since I prefer the KJV, I use Olive Tree Software which allows me to use the KJV with Strong's, The Thompson Chain References and charts, and the New Spirit-Filled Study Bible, and Nave's Topic Bible. I agree with your assessment that all three are good Study Bibles for Pentecostals. Blessings to you and yours!
The "distinctive doctrine" of the Pentecostal movement is that the baptism with the Holy Ghost will be accompanied by speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance as the initial physical evidence thereof. Apostolic Pentecostalism views the baptism with the Holy Ghost as being concomitant with the baptism by the Spirit in the new birth experience in being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, while Protestant Fundamentalist and Evangelical Pentecostalism views the baptism with the Holy Ghost as being distinct and distinguishable from and subsequent to the new birth experience, these baptizing people in the Trinitarian rite of speaking "in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost" instead of speaking "in the name of Jesus Christ" as did the apostles in response to Jesus' command in making disciples. While Apostolic Pentecostals do admit that one can be baptized with the Holy Ghost before being born again of water and the Spirit, they believe that one has not been born again unless they have also been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, with Protestant Pentecostals generally holding that the new birth experience does not include either baptism with water or baptism with the Holy Ghost as part thereof. I hope that this helps!
Check out the footnotes on Ephesians 4:4 in the 'Life in the Spirit', or 'Fire' Bible. Lots to say about 'one Lord'. Lots to say about 'one faith'. Nothing at all to say about 'one baptism' though. Apostolic Pentacostals recognize the one baptism mentioned in Ephesians 4:4, as explained in Romans 6. Yet they say Holy Spirit baptism is still for everyone today. Hhhmmm. . . 1 + 1 = 2. Basically speaking with tongues. But there are more.
