From my experience:
Jet fighter are great until they run out of missiles/bombs, than you
just rely on the machine gun, and they become far less amazing (for those who don't cheat)
On the other side, OK gunship have less raw "brutal" destruction power,
but Machine gun are very very efficient, especially when you have auto
missiles linked, and the mobility is amazing. In long term i feel like
the DPS his more consistent. No "I burst damage...then I hit like a
sweet noddle"
Personally, I manage better with gunship than Jet fighter usually.
In the T7 grade you have the Duke Comanche, and the the Raptor. What
will you say about both of them according to what I said ( taking in consideration limited ammo as it's suppose to be) ?
PS: your pilot skill are amazing, watching your video had greatly improve my skill ;)

@Rich Johnson hey kid, leme tell you somethin, that gunship is T5 and can handle T5 to T7 missions unless you are a cheater that can blow anything on its way. I had done all missions so get it done first before you bark dogkid
When it comes to ""escort" mission, what do you think is more useful, a helicopter or an aircraft ?
I hate those missions
I would play it with fighter planes cuz helicopters are too slow.

Some fighters are capable for escorting missions, also some planes with auto weapons like B17G or other. But the good one is the Super Hornet at Tier 7 aircrafts because it has auto machine gun, same as Raptor
But these day, after some Tier 9 aircrafts are coming, such as Fulcrum F and other, the best choice is Tier 9 Gryfalcon
