With a good scope like my Bushnell Elite LRTS 4.5 - 18 x 44 scope, G3 "small Xmas tree" illuminated reticle in mil radian hash marks THERE IS NO NEED FOR DIALING once zeroed. Same for my Bushnell Elite LRS target scope with H59 reticle.
Hey Eric. Glad you've got a good system worked out! Tactical reticles are quick if you know your system. We're still just blown away that a scope like the dS exists and works well.
I wish you explain more how the rangefinder ballistic and ballistic button works. I have some doubts .....barris eliminator has the click cable button . I'm guessing you guys don't have that feature? If not, then, this seems inconvenient!
The reticle is not first focal plane, as shown by your own video through the scope. The digital (HUD) drop indicator updates with the magnification, the reticle itself remains stationary.
It’s not really mechanically first focal plane. It’s a simulated FFP on a true SFP. Not that it matters all that much. This is where the industry should go.
Nice optic and great rifle. I have here in New Zealand the Hells canyon 300 win mag and have ordered the ds to replace my PM2 S&B. I have heard great things about the ds so hopefully it handles the the weather here in our southern alps.
How to factor in the wind changes in the field .... I Have a DS Mounted on My R8 ...Zeroed it perfectly @100 Meters , took it on a Range and shot at a 4x4' F-TR Target from 600 Meters,,,1st 3 shots straight within a 2.6 " ( inches ) ....The Next 3 shots went off the Target by a good 4 to 6 Feet off the target at 3 O clock .... I Was Shooting GECO 170 PLUS Ammo of 300 Win Mag ..... Now where did I Go wrong ..Of course I Know it was a wind change ,,,But how do I Factor in that windage adjustment ... Kindly Explain
Hi Jamal, the wind could definitely make that sort of impact change at that distance but there are some other things that could affect it also. Because it made such an immediate change from near perfect shots I would also check the mounts that you are using. A sudden shift of the riflescope in the mounts could cause such a drastic change in impact from shot to shot. The hash marks on both sides of the LED reticle can also be changed from 5-10mph to 10-20mph. On a particularly gusty or windy day you might want to change them to 10-20 to accommodate those faster wind speeds. -Mark

Thank you so much for this video, I have been in the market for a rifle scope that can help cut my time down.
Thanks for the review! Now do a shooting review of it please!
The best thing about the scope is the commercial... man its good!
Inexpensive, simple to set up and it works.
I have two questions. What brand of rings and bases do you have on it? And are they medium or high rings?

Too cool.
Its only 4500$... but man I want it!
I’m in the market for this scope or a new house. Guess I’ll buy the scope.
No high interest rate on a scope!
Does it have 338 Lapua Mag settings
Does the supressor affect the preset velocities for the stock loads?
Yes. You can input your own ballistic data as well.

Seems like SFP would be best for this scope

Seems like SFP would be the best option on a scope like this

not sure what this comment has to do with a hunting scope
It needs a wireless Rangefinder button would be a little tough when you're standing in a mean your gun then reach for the rangefinder button👎👎👎
