The High Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Consolation in Intramuros was presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, DD, Bishop of Antipolo. Following the Eucharistic celebration, two significant decrees were announced: The Augustinian decree establishing the Fiesta de la Virgen de la Consolación y Correa de Intramuros on the second Sunday of September, and a city council decree naming Nuestra Señora de la Consolación y Correa as the Patroness of Intramuros. Additionally, the administrator of Intramuros presented an ex voto in the form of the Intramuros seal as a tribute.
The inaugural Fiesta de Intramuros procession featured the introduction of the tradition of the Tres Aves Marias at the Pasig River Esplanade, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. As the procession reached its conclusion, confetti rained down, and the crowd joyfully shouted "viva!" as the image of Our Lady entered the church grounds, marking the end of the festivities.
