Amazing to see the mountains rise up in the distance. Reminds me of entering Austria from Germany and seeing the alps rise up when we went there for holiday last summer. Very humbling.
Another BadAss vid Brian! My favorite so far! I, as well as others im sure, are appreciative of how you show your mortality in your rides, and even edit them in as to show that not every ride is "perfect". Its cool to see you get back up from a fall or watch you dab and/or make corrections mid-ride - it inspires me to go out and actually go "ride the ride" and go for it and enjoy and learn from all its ups and downs even more so - the way its supposed to be! Bravo sir! Keep up the good work and please be safe!
Respect for leaving the footage of the fall in there! I don't know why but its the only video that IU thought you would have a spill right from the start. Glad no damage to you or the bike and thanks for not editing it out, it makes some of us feel a bit better to know that it happens to everyone now and again. Thumbs up!
Thanks for all of your videos. I swapped out my stock Santa Cruz grips when I bought my Hightower last month. I got ODI Rogue grips and I am very happy with them.
Lunch Loops - such a benign and unassuming name for a pretty sweet trail system! Loved that flowy section toward the end where you were obviously stoked. Keep up the good work and congrats on passing 10K subs!
Wow! You go through some tight places, flying like a banshee, and nothing happens. A little lose sand and bam!!! HAHAHAH! Way cool riding! I am in my office watching you ride, I am freaking out at the speed you get on those trails!! Nice Ride!
This is a great channel man! I really enjoy the commentary when riding, makes the video very watchable, and the trails aren't that bad either haha, keep it up
Brian, these videos relay keep me on my toes. I'm definitely going to have to save and plan a trip to one, maybe two, of these parks. By the way, have a great and safe ride with Seth; anxiously awaiting the video. Best regards.
definitely have to hit this trail system next time I'm out there looks awesome, glad you survived the crash great video again keep up the good work Brian can't wait for the crested butte videos
This video reminds me a bit of the trails here in my neck of the woods. So much of ours is private land so you have to pick and choose a bit more. Not a lot of sanctioned trails for the public to ride on unfortunately.
I was watching this and seeing how well you take on some very tough stuff and thinking he never falls. I was out yesterday and the first time in about a month had a hard fall just banged up my right elbow some my knee guard and helmet kept the rest of me safe. I hit an area that I could go clean if I hit it 100 more times - it was just an odd thing. It's good to see you're human. I alway worry for you since you solo on such isolated trails. I solo mostly too but there are always a few more riders where I go. Wes S.
Really appreciate the open honest rides and they keep me encouraged to try to keep riding. I'm new to the sport and don't have a lot of access to quality shops. I'm 6'1" and 215 and would appreciate if you had a recommendation on a bike that I wouldn't be too much for to get into more aggressive riding? Thanks.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate it! Really tough to say without you getting on a bike and feeling it out. Keep looking for a good shop, even if you have to drive out for a demo. It's worth it to actually FEEL the bike.
10:28 That's what some of the Rockville trails look like now, rode them before the rain and it was fine, after the rain, holy crap, completely different.
Been watching these colorado vids cus im heading out to Grand junction next month. Nice to see how much your riding has improved over the years and I appreciate you showing the times you walk certain features. That's some real shit. Not sure you'll see this cus it's an older vid but thanks for sharing Brian!
Each and every descent looks like so much fun! You were cooking! Amazing trails. One of your best videos. Love how you combine the best bits with the unfortunate bits as well. At any point did you wish you had a bigger travel bike or did the bronson eat it all up no probs? I want to have another look!
Thanks so much, dude! Bronson was so damn solid, I really wished I could have turned around and done those last few sections all again. One of the best sections of trail EVER.
Awesome man I'm loving the Colorado video's. My stomping ground. I just got back from my 2 week trip myself, I did some road biking and hiking too. My favorite, which I think is weird cause I ride a hard tail, but was Gooseberry Mesa. So technical I fell like 20 times, and broke my cleat on one of my shoes and back tire came off my bike once too. It's all good though I have a cheap bike and the back tire is the quick change not the through axel and the force just knocked it out. Plus gooseberry mesa on a hard tail is pretty bitchin'. Can't wait to watch the rest of your Colorado trails. I know Phil's World wasn't part of this trip, but you got to put that on your list of best rides in America. I think maybe before or after each video you could do a small blog explaining the trail and or your thoughts after riding it, but loving the channel and your a dope rider.
Another awesome video! Always happy to see new a new upload from ya. Grips: I use Redmonkey grips. They're kinda like the ESI Chunky grips, but are double lock-on and a slightly bit larger diameter. They are a little softer than the stock Santa Cruz grips and are super grippy, especially with gloves on. Check em out on their site. You can also see a couple of pics of them on my Instagram page. Thanks for the great video man!! Great start to my day
Take any critique on technique? I'd move your levers down so you can get your elbows up more when you're standing. You'll have much more control over the bike and things will feel a lot more stable. Just something I noticed at 7:28. A little trick I learned back in my moto days and I've been so much faster on my mountain bike because of it. Love the videos, and keep up the great work!
My daughter goes to Sonoma St U in Rohnert Park and sometimes we take the 12 if we're in the scenic mood.... In Jan I'll hit you up before we head up and maybe we can get a ride in around your home trails?
Awesome ride/trails ^^ Maybe some more supportive gloves/bike shorts, would be the more frugal route to go re, hand blisters & your sore taint ;-) PS - also... maybe a slightly wider front tire would alleviate wash outs? Keep safe man... enjoying the sick edits.
You end up finding any nice trails up north Max? I'm north of Perth too. Nothing scenic at all, which makes me dream of travelling with my bike. Maybe when I get better, perhaps.
14.2 min top of the Day, Very nice ride, one that I would likely to survive For shore you know how to fix the gimbal, I have turned my to many turns when "I look to close on the ground" and the cable pulls out of the controls cards!
I was wondering how often you use your dropper post. Would it be possible when editing the video if you could have some sort of way of symbolizing it. i.e. a pop up or a red dot. I hope that makes sense.
Woo-Hoo Colorado! just recently moved from Texas to Denver with my single speed fully rigid 29er! keep up the quality content, because this has Instantly become my favorite MTB channel. You ride so fast it makes me nervous sometimes. Do you know the courses at all beforehand or do you just bomb it?
Riding blind, brother! It's amazing what your brain can do when you're riding. It really slows everything down. When I watch these videos back I'm a little amazed at how fast I'm going too!
I like your work ethic Brian 😜👍🏼 Do you think there's any chance you could test ride the new Yeti SB5.5c 29er soon? I'd like to get your opinion of it. Think I want one. If bikes were heroin I would've OD'd by now.
nice cheeky wee sequence in the middle there breakin shit up. sequence, well the single sequential, the sequential single (can't decide which non-sense makes more sense, Ha ! PEACE
That trail looks really fun, how can you ride so fast on a trail you don't know? You never wear knee pads? There's a few ones you can pedal with all day without being too sweaty or bulky.
I love that you show yourself walking around obstacles and really working uphill. Glad I'm not the only one.
Gotta keep it real!
Of all the places you cold fall on this run you did it in what appears to be the best possible spot.
Seriously! Just a nice little slide down the wide open, soft dirt
12:59 - I did this so much when I first got to CO - the trail shoulders are just so soft and slippery!
Why didn't you warn me?!?! Anyone know a good lawyer?
I just felt it's one of those things you gotta learn the hard way to really understand ;)
Hahaha
Your training is making you stronger. Feel the force - trust it!
Thanks Yoda!
Omg omg omg!!!! I live literally right next to the lunch loop trails!!!!!!!
you're Lucky man. i Just need an intercontinental flight To get There. lol! enjoy The trails ✌
Bruh same but not lunch loops well, close to lunch loops but i live closer to kokopelli and 18 road
Amazing to see the mountains rise up in the distance. Reminds me of entering Austria from Germany and seeing the alps rise up when we went there for holiday last summer. Very humbling.
Yeah, what a cool experience!

Thanks so much Vince, I really appreciate that comment!
Your videos have just gotten better and better! I feel you've definitely hit home on these Colorado videos!
Thanks man, always trying to get better!
Another sweetie video. Trail add to my bucket list :-). Can't wait to visit family in the USA. Thank you for sharing the joy mtb.
Awesome! I'm gonna get you in trouble with your family if you visit "NO TIME, GOTTA GO RIDING!"
You're covering a lot of the areas I have hopes to ride someday. Thank you for doing this!
My pleasure, man!
Lunch loops ain't no joke! Broke my hand there at the start of a ride a while back. Nice work!
Brutal! It's always Man vs. Trail
Brian- I watched this video after coming back from riding and it makes me wanna go right back out there. There's nothing better.. Nice.
Hahaha, thanks Manny!
I watch these videos as a meditation between my riding days. Great inspiration man! Thx again
Love it!!!
Almost daily videos!! This is like a blessing!!
3 Days a week baby!
Respect for leaving the footage of the fall in there! I don't know why but its the only video that IU thought you would have a spill right from the start. Glad no damage to you or the bike and thanks for not editing it out, it makes some of us feel a bit better to know that it happens to everyone now and again. Thumbs up!
Haha, yeah it was quite the fast, crazy terrain!
I definitely fell in the same spot one of my first times out on the bike, lunch loops teaches you how to respect the trail!
Haha, loosey goosey!
Thanks for all of your videos. I swapped out my stock Santa Cruz grips when I bought my Hightower last month. I got ODI Rogue grips and I am very happy with them.
My pleasure, bro! I finally got some new grips to put on!
Lunch Loops - such a benign and unassuming name for a pretty sweet trail system! Loved that flowy section toward the end where you were obviously stoked. Keep up the good work and congrats on passing 10K subs!
Hahaha, so true. Thanks so much, my man!
Wow! You go through some tight places, flying like a banshee, and nothing happens. A little lose sand and bam!!! HAHAHAH! Way cool riding! I am in my office watching you ride, I am freaking out at the speed you get on those trails!! Nice Ride!
This place looks so cool. One of these days I will make it down there and ride this trail.
It's a solid one!
Wow! 😱! Cool trails. man nice bail moves on the spill! Glad you survived! Phew!
Hahaha, tuck and rollllll! Thanks Edd
I lived in durango a couple times, that entire area is one of the most beautiful ever
Nice!
You mentioned my hometown Fairfield and I got excited. I live in Tempe, AZ and mostly ride Phoenix South Mt. I really enjoy your videos!

This is a great channel man! I really enjoy the commentary when riding, makes the video very watchable, and the trails aren't that bad either haha, keep it up
Thanks so much dude, I really appreciate the love!
Great stuff! Love those trails.
Haha, it's in your name so it's gotta be true! Thanks man
Amazing trails. Would love to ride those.
Great video quality and commentary as always.
I'm really glad I stumbled across your channel.
Awesome man! Welcome aboard!!
Digging all of the Colorado footage! Nice tuck and roll man
Hahaha, thanks bud!
Brian, these videos relay keep me on my toes. I'm definitely going to have to save and plan a trip to one, maybe two, of these parks. By the way, have a great and safe ride with Seth; anxiously awaiting the video. Best regards.
Awesome! If I can get you to go out and ride then my job is done!
Great scenery!
Thanks, it was a beautiful ride!
Interesting to see the little bits of trail maintenance that COPMOBA has done over the course of the last four years.
definitely have to hit this trail system next time I'm out there looks awesome, glad you survived the crash great video again keep up the good work Brian can't wait for the crested butte videos
Thanks Steve! It was awesome!
This video reminds me a bit of the trails here in my neck of the woods. So much of ours is private land so you have to pick and choose a bit more. Not a lot of sanctioned trails for the public to ride on unfortunately.
Well it was just a matter of time for your first spill on camera. Glad it was in a safer non rocky place. Another fun trail, thanks for sharing.
Hahaha, yep! Thanks man.
Another Great video sir!! I'm gonna have to save my pennies and ride in Colorado someday! Glad you came out of your crash there unscathed!
Thanks my man! It's worth the trip.
I like that you kept the fall in your edit. It added a little drama.
Hahaha, really came out well on video too!
I did give you some style points for the recovery
Mucho appreciated!
I'm moving to GJ from flat southwest Kansas this summer. Can't wait to get on some real trails like these.
Fantastic!
Almost 10,000 SUBS.
you definitely deserve that.
Thanks so much my man!

Wes S.
It's always the small stuff that ends up getting us! Yep, I need to get a Spot messenger.
Holy molly! another great video bro and yeah the landscape looks amazing. hope you and the bike are ok.
Thanks dude! I'm good and so is the bike!
Popped right up from that fall. I'd still be on the ground. Lol. I've had those low side front tire washouts at Chabot a couple times.
Hahaha, tuck and roll!
Nice trail 👍Really enjoyed this video👍
Thanks man!
Thank you for the raw footage sir!
Liked and Subscribed.
Thanks bud, glad you enjoyed it!
Sweet trail. I'm glad you got out of your crash unscathed. You didn't show us the dirt jumps by the parking lot!
Yep, survived just fine! You know I'm not a jumper!
Awesome vid once again! Unfortunately there's no trails near where I live but watching your vids makes me happy again :D
Happy to give you a little taste of the trails!
Rough trails in Colorado. Close call on that smooth curve ;)
Haha, yep. They're out to get me!
You are going to break 10k subs in few mins. Congrats!
Did it! Friggin' crazy.
Really appreciate the open honest rides and they keep me encouraged to try to keep riding. I'm new to the sport and don't have a lot of access to quality shops. Another great ride! I hope you are okay after that crash. I love crashing too. I need one of those full face type helmets, my son keeps showing me.
Thanks man! Only a couple scratches from the crash
10:28 That's what some of the Rockville trails look like now, rode them before the rain and it was fine, after the rain, holy crap, completely different.
Wow!
BKXC Yeah, that was my reaction as well... of course after a "holy shit" when I came flying around the corner into it.
Been watching these colorado vids cus im heading out to Grand junction next month. Nice to see how much your riding has improved over the years and I appreciate you showing the times you walk certain features. That's some real shit. Not sure you'll see this cus it's an older vid but thanks for sharing Brian!
You have a new subscriber from sudamerica... great video
Welcome aboard, buddy!
To quote you:good stuff. :) Keep on riding man.
Haha thanks!
Man those rocks really are craving for people's bike to be pinched flat! So many sharp rocks and so tight turns!
Hahaha, I know!
Each and every descent looks like so much fun! You were cooking! Amazing trails. One of your best videos. Love how you combine the best bits with the unfortunate bits as well. Thanks so much, dude! Bronson was so damn solid, I really wished I could have turned around and done those last few sections all again. One of the best sections of trail EVER.
I could tell! I wanted to be there ripping it up with you - the flow meter was off the charts!

New subscriber.. loving the videos dude keep it up!
Awesome, welcome aboard buddy!
i really enjoy your videos
Thanks so much!
Nice trail. Thanks for ths video
Thanks dude!
That ride looks awesome! Googling how long it takes to drive there now!
Niccccce!
If your gonna get new grips try "ESI extra chunky" I love them. Not too expensive either.
Nice! I just got some Wolf Tooth Fat Paws I'm going to give a go!
awesome ride.
Thanks dude!
Oh yeah and I want it signed!
Another awesome video! Always happy to see new a new upload from ya.

Thanks for the great video man!! Great start to my day
Haha, I just picked up a pair of Wolf Tooth grips at Interbike and they are made by Redmonkey!
pre-nup uphill is quite the hike-a-bike, which is what im assuming you did since you cut the clip and jumped straight to little park rd!
Yeah, I remember one section where I just had to hike it!
I live in Grand Junction
Take any critique on technique? I'd move your levers down so you can get your elbows up more when you're standing. You'll have much more control over the bike and things will feel a lot more stable. Just something I noticed at 7:28. A little trick I learned back in my moto days and I've been so much faster on my mountain bike because of it. Love the videos, and keep up the great work!
I'll always take a well thought out critique, brother! I'll experiment with the lever position!
Awesome ride & fall ;) ...... looks like my SoCal high desert stuff. You said Fairfield, is that NorCal Fairfield?
Yes
Yup yup!
My daughter goes to Sonoma St U in Rohnert Park and sometimes we take the 12 if we're in the scenic mood.... In Jan I'll hit you up before we head up and maybe we can get a ride in around your home trails?
If I'm home let's do it! bk@bk-xc.com
Great video and awesome trail. Have you ridden Wheeler or Miners Creek in Breckenridge?
I have not!
@@bkxc please please please put them on the list! (Won't be ridable until July though..) Thanks for the great videos.
When are you coming down to Arizona? Phoenix has some awesome trails all within a few minutes of driving and head north to Sedona for a epic ride
Winter, baby!
PM when your down here, don't need to wait till winter it's already perfect bike weather especially in Sedona
The schedule is packed! But November is wide open. You mind shooting me an email so we can hook up? bk@bk-xc.com
Awesome ride/trails ^^
Maybe some more supportive gloves/bike shorts, would be the more frugal route to go re, hand blisters & your sore taint ;-)
PS - also... maybe a slightly wider front tire would alleviate wash outs? Keep safe man... enjoying the sick edits.
Hahaha, more layers! I think the trail just had my number that day!
Where I live in Australia there are no really good trails which is frustrating. I live far north of Perth btw.
That's tough, dude! This might be the closest set of trails for you, then: www.trailforks.com/region/kalamunda-trails/
Thanks mate👍
You end up finding any nice trails up north Max? I'm north of Perth too. Nothing scenic at all, which makes me dream of travelling with my bike. Maybe when I get better, perhaps.
Great ride.. Man you had some rough spots and a fall but you pull it off.. Are the handle bars bent bad enough to replace them.. Be blessed
Thanks man! The handlebars weren't quite bent, just out of whack, so I loosened up the stem and got them back in action.
Great trials! :)
Thanks dude!
14.2 min top of the Day, Very nice ride, one that I would likely to survive
For shore you know how to fix the gimbal, I have turned my to many turns when "I look to close on the ground" and the cable pulls out of the controls cards!
So weird I have never had that happen to the gimbal, yet! Lucky me so far.
Just saw Nate's Free Lunch ride and thought of your video. I don't think you hit that section, right? Nate's video looked seriously gnarly!
No, I didn't! That trail looked nuts!
You should get extra chunky ESI grips!
Just got some Wolf Tooth Fat Paws to try out! Hopefully they won't be hard to put on the handlebars.
Son of a gun we're gonna have some fun on the lunch loops.
finally gor a ds,its a fuji reveal 1.1 2016...ill be doing some vids about starting all over @42
Curious what was your favorite trail in fruita and grand jct?
I was wondering how often you use your dropper post. Would it be possible when editing the video if you could have some sort of way of symbolizing it. i.e. a pop up or a red dot. I hope that makes sense.
I basically drop it on any section that I'm going downhill on!
What do you think is better Shimano or crank brothers pedals
Woo-Hoo Colorado! just recently moved from Texas to Denver with my single speed fully rigid 29er! keep up the quality content, because this has Instantly become my favorite MTB channel. You ride so fast it makes me nervous sometimes. Do you know the courses at all beforehand or do you just bomb it?
Riding blind, brother! It's amazing what your brain can do when you're riding. It really slows everything down. When I watch these videos back I'm a little amazed at how fast I'm going too!
+BK-XC thanks for taking time to respond dude! I think its time for gears and suspension...
Any time!
You should do some trails in Santa Cruz
Good call!
are you running tubeless? what psi if so? also clip in or flats. good footy
I do about 23 psi and I clip in.
Gotta come to Steamboat- Biketown USA best trails in Colorado!
Next year!
I like your work ethic Brian 😜👍🏼
Do you think there's any chance you could test ride the new Yeti SB5.5c 29er soon?
I'd like to get your opinion of it. Think I want one. If bikes were heroin I would've OD'd by now.
Thanks bud! Don't count on it, but I'll keep an eye out for the SB5.5!
How does the gimbal hold up after crashes, has it ever suffered any damage?
Some scratches but no problems at all! Pretty amazing.
Have you ever thought of trying procore? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.
Talked to the Schwalbe guys at Interbike and I'm hoping they'll send me a kit to test it out!
nice cheeky wee sequence in the middle there breakin shit up. sequence, well the single sequential, the sequential single (can't decide which non-sense makes more sense, Ha ! PEACE
wow this just makes me want to ride but my rear hub is loose :(
Always something, right?
BK-XC Indeed! Always something, but it will be fixed soon.
YOU WILL LOVE CRESTED BUTTE. the 401 is amazing doctors is really good too even the bike park there is super fun
Man, I got rained out on the 401! Only got to do Doctor Park. NEXT YEAR!
Yeah that happen to us the last 2 times we where out there. Crested butte is a awesome little town though
I've never seen such a little perfect all-American small town!
That trail looks really fun, how can you ride so fast on a trail you don't know? You never wear knee pads? There's a few ones you can pedal with all day without being too sweaty or bulky.
Gonna grab some tomorrow!
Can I ask which ones?
Whatever the bike shop has!
I'm using the fox launch enduro, they are lightweight an thin, not too much protection but can be wear for hours without even noticing them.
Fantastic, thanks for the tip.
Just woke up and had to watc h this.
Thanks Raul, glad I'm must see TV
you were really hauling when you fell, shame. those trails are calling me.
Haha, yep! Those trails were sweeeeet.
and another good video bro
as for grips i run the same santacruz crips you have on all my bikes and i dont evan own a a santacruz but love the grips
Thanks so much my man!
great 👍🏼
Thx!
were you riding your Bronson in this video?
Yup yup!
Getting that wild wild west vibe on the past few vids eh! Trails look too dry! Is this the last part of the series in colorado?
Wild wild west, baby! I've got a shitload more from Colorado, stay tuned!
How is the gps setup? Recommendations please
I'm not sure what you mean.
Nice trail! Are those trails man-made for mtb/walking or is it animal trail?
I believe they're all man-made!
