Wow, I've been looking for a video of this gig for 11 years - it's one of my best memories of my mis-placed youth - 18, first Glasto without the parents, boiling hot sunshine, happy people everywhere and me & my friend sat on the shoulders of two guys we met down the front, hoping we wouldn't lose our trainers in the mosh. Beautiful times, amazing memories created & now to relive - thanks so much for posting it. X

No way, Steve is playing the bends rather than the arpeggio during the chorus! I always thought that was a better choice... Ok... Just got to the second chorus. The bends are definitely better.

No it was 2000! They certainly did jump the fence and made changes afterwards. I was there only me and another mate bought tickets for about £79 the rest jumped the fence about 17 of us went. I remember first seeing the healing fields and then hearing an almighty roar as the perimeter fence was pushed over, about 20/30 people ran in with huge back packs on, which was amusing watching them trying to run in, the mounted police didn't do anything and just let them in. Everyone was cheering them on! Happy days! Bowie was unbelievably good. Crowd surfed for the first time at OCS, Saturday afternoon they played if I remember rightly. Friday was chemical brothers which was brilliant, first dance act to play the pyramid stage at the time
Great band, fine musicians, fine singer, but I thought Simon F should've always just been himself, not tried to look like Liam Gallagher as he was doing around this time. He's a better singer and seems a nicer bloke than LG anyway.
@@desertsandcastles hi m8 I was simply replying to your first comment “this is not the riverboat song” the songs played are July (one from the modern) & The Riverboat song (Moseley shoals) it’s because the title reads Glastonbury 2000 -July , The Riverboat song , Glastonbury does happen in July but in this case it’s the name of the song , One from the modern is my fave ocs album , and hard to find any footage of that tour , and of course the last album/tour with Minchella on Bass✌️

Remember seeing them play live in Birmingham in the mid-to-late 90's. Best band I'd listened to since the 1980's. The sound is simply perfection.
