@@GildedGear dambas gourd and m2 are skillshots, ios heals are targeted, and the los can be played around if you use 2 brain cells, damba is one of the hardest healers in the game to be efficient as because of his reload stun, ult, and cooldown control actually being a thing, compared to, which is much simpler on every single aspect of healing, hence damba is more rewarding and stronger than io in high elo, no one plays io in high elo. Altho id say pip is much harder to heal with than any other character, while also being less rewarding just making him not worth the time if you want to climb.
@Agent9R ROM actually I'll have to disagree with that. Most people just think of dredge as a stupid spammer but he's weapon is by far the hardest to hit direct shots. Flying champions like andro, meave, drogoz are extremely hard to hit. And broadside isn't even that good since most people just avoid it so you are mostly using it to scare people off and create space. Abyss spike is a difficult talent to use since it requires you to be able to hit your shots and have game sense. His movement ability is not just a 5 meter dash so you also need to not place it in a dumb position. You can either be shuted by flanks or deleting them with 3 point blank grenades. Also you should use your ult with harpoon. The slow is not there for nothing. Also if you're going to use broadside flick your mouse so the bombs land in different places so that at least one of them will hit.
The hardest part of being a support is holding your anger while being bullied by another players who want heal but too far too be reached and you are defending objective only with your frontline.
I just had this experience yesterday for the first time. The dumbass is too dependent on me and I'm the only healer tryna keep 2 tanks alive. Four of us stay together and he's out there being aggressive and rushing them and when he dies, he blames me for not healing ANYONE. We ended up winning and I had 200k heal, so I'm not sure how that can count as "barely healing anyone."
That's cuz meave has 2 kinda unfair talents. Like street justice completely fucks over tanks and for cat burglar there's even a card that reduces the cooldown of prowl by just hitting your shots.
@@kolinaspronok i mean, you need to hit you're shot for cat burglar, it's not easy to use that talent, and it's good that a flank have a talent that make them stronger with a condition, and if you put point for that card you don't have point for other cards. For streat justice, it's a really, really bad talent honestly, if you could finish off a squish with a streat justice melee, you could even kill them with a pair set of dagger, and most of the time, if you try to use the pounce to finish target, you don't have it to retreat and you'll be forced to pray God, that there's not enemy near, or simply use the reset, but then you burned a 20 second cooldown.
@@omardanelli2911 the only change for cat burglar is that maybe it would reduce her attack speed durning the buff so at least it has some kind a downside and if not that then a goddamn damage fall off cuz you can't just throw a dagger from across the map and it would do the same damage
@@omardanelli2911 I would say that sj is necessary bad... it’s just mostly played by the wrong people! It’s actually sometimes played in competitive Paladins/scrims it can be quite effective against a khan for example cuz you can kill him though the sheeld and you can jump over it
tbh Im still working on accuracy, if I could fricken aim good I would pick cat burglar. And as it is I tend to screw myself over when I try to use Rogues gambit. The really helpful thing I find about street justice isnt that it kills below 35%, but it helps me organize my thoughts and it marks targets who are vulnerable so I can focus on killing them. And many champians when they are below 35% die from throwing knives anyway, it just helps me pick who to throw at.
@@sleddgang you clearly haven’t seen a full potential RG mave lol, just because you can function with the talent, doesn’t mean you are using it to its full power
This is a pretty good list tbh...i agree with every pick especially atlas...i do however feel like there are more champs that could make it so i would've loved to see like a honorable mention for each role...bk is a good example for that...vora for the flank role...maybe pip for support(not dps) and ruckes for tanks cause most people still think he an actual tank instead of a thicc dive flank...still a solid and really comprehensive video Andrew 👍👍
Yeah they are fun but in my opinion vora is very fun too when in a duel Edit:but you could die even if you won the duel cuz usually the other enemies sometumes come when you have everything on cooldown
I think the low hp forces you to be resourceful and have more awareness about the consequences of your actions- coupled with their amazing mobility, it can be quite thrilling to get risky with them.
I don't really agree about maeve. I think the skill needed changes with the talent you pick. Street justice makes her braindead, cat's bulgar makes her accessible (yet not that easy) and rogue's gambit makes her very hard to play (you constantly need to be mobile). Cat's bulgar, being probably her best talent, makes maeve a normal champion in my opinion.
There's so much I'd like to add to evie, actually. She's much more dependent on the state of the servers than perhaps anyone else. Her shots might not just register. I've had situations with fairly low ping where three (three ffs!) consecutive direct hits just didn't deal any damage; she can be shot in her pre-blink spots and her "soar trails" (where she was, but isn't anymore) to still receive some damn damage! Same with her ice block. You may see that you entered it and still get killed Just about the same can be said about bomb king. First off, his projectile "flight" is kind of inconsistent even if you stand of the ground; also, if the servers misbehave, you can be unable to detonate your bombs midair consistently. They just may detonate at different places even though you hit RMB around the same very spot, like a corner or an edge of a shield. And additional HUGE butthurt material is his poppy bomb. Sometimes your flight speed is inconsistent, but what's worse, it can just disappear and go on cooldown without even propelling you anywhere. And yeah, I know it can be destroyed and it also happens pre-match in the spawn room
Good video, would personally switch Damba to number three, drogoz to number 4 and maeve to number 5. Maeve def is hard to play, but compared to damba or drogoz its a whoooole other story
I agree, however, everything said for Damba counts for Ying, too. Placing Illusiong needs a lot of practice and awareness, using her as a main heal needs you to hit your shatters and her movement-ability is REALLY hard. Timing her ult is easy, but that's it. Also, playing her as damage needs you to be really good at aiming her shots. Lets put her on 6th place.
I would actually like to see a top champions that are hard to make them work but not play, kind of how it’s hard to make skye work outside of smoke and dagger even tho she technically isn’t hard!
Skye is not hard to play at all, what do you mean Invisible Girl? xD As they said, shes mechanically one of the easiest champs to play, but it's really hard to get value out of her. Specially on mid to high elo. The same happens with Moji. To be honest, I respect more the Skye and Moji's carries on mid to high elo than an Andro carry y'know?
@@Sapov we didn’t say good, we said she’s not hard to play. What amount of skill does she have to kill an opponent that’s not aware of her position. Not a lot, but as said she may not be the best flank but she’s definitely not hard...
Keep in mind that he can detonate his shots immediately whenever he wants and the explosion radius is massive [even without Royal Subjects talent]. That alone makes his attacks significantly easier to hit than almost every character at close to mid range. Still one of the best designs in the game and one my favorite characters to play though 👍
I'm new to the game and I guess you can say I main 4 different heroes Evie, Atlas, Seris, and Lian. I had no idea 2 of them were apparently hard to play, lol.
@@Exille28 My Evie is level 39, Level 34 Seris, Level 27 Lian, and Level 33 Atlas. My account is level 84, I just started playing last month. Probably not that good because I have work so I can't really play a lot but that's what I'm rolling with.
@@Jack-tu5zf atlas isn’t like that hard BUT he is probably the hardest TANK next to maybe ruckus but I am assuming (no offense btw) that you are newer and don’t know the crazy rewinds, walls, support strats, or how to buy space with him but if you can aim and time your snipes, he can be incredibly useful and ez so in conclusion I can see how you might not find him hard because you may not know all of the ways he can be extra useful you just like the way he plays. I mean if you don’t think Evies is hard as a newish player you are a saint.
It turns out that I somehow main Drogoz, Maeve and Damba as my main picks for these roles. Personally, I would consider BK to be on the same level of difficulty as Drogoz, if not even more challenging :P To me, he is a more damaging Drogoz with a bit less mobility and harder attack pattern.
Once upon a time, there was a game called Battleborn and there was a character named benedict and he was _very_ similar to drogoz so picking hi. Felt natural af. Bumper jumper on controller is the only way
I would swap Maeve for Sha Lin. Sha Lin takes more practice since you have to be accurate with your shots. Also the fact that you have to hold your arrows for a while to make a lot of damage can be a disadvantage when you are 1v1 against someone with a higher dps. Moreover, he does not have a good escaping hability, people can buy illuminate and find you easily.
I have a issue with meave in ps4 I keep keep not turning left of right cause the left and right stick doesn’t work I have to press the m a differant way
Evie has always had a higher skill ceiling than maeve so in general terms she is better. However, maeve is a far safer pick given her considerably easier shots to actually hit. So to answer 'who is better' I'd have to say they're pretty much dead even because they're situational
bruh, I do agree, when I started playing paladins 'cause of Evie, her personality at all, I like it, kinda remembers me of Jinx (league) both like blowing up stuff, but I couldn't play and do a good job with her, so I quit, started playing Ying, now I'm playing Maeve, and having lots of fun, so maybe I'll try Evie again soon, she's my fav champion no doubts.
Well yes, if you have many tanks. If you have two tanks, always go for ripened gourd. Even if you have only one tank, you can go ripened gourd if you feel like you can't land accurate shots with your primary heal.
Its the best talent for me if u ask if your team have a tank that tanking with his body yago/inara etc it's erally good for your point tank but if your team have high mobility champoins dont use it they sohuld not be standing in ground also using damba is not a good idea with a high mobility team if u are not really reall good
I agree with the characters, but id push Maeve down to the bottom Yes, I am on console using controller, no koga isn't op on console, he kinda sucks there too, and no andro isn't hard on console
Playing good maeve on onslaught is just free "best kda ratio from both teams" And I gotta admit, what was it called... "Primal court"? On onslaught turns my maeve plays into a satisfying show
Andrew said evie is maeve but harder if so then why i suck as maeve but i am decent evie lol is it because of her skills(most likely) or is it because i recently obtained bewitching and i enjoy using it not to mention gives me a "moral boost".
That's why I''m extremely impressed with good console Evie's. I would personally replace Maeve with Bomb King. There's no way you can use Bomb King with even a bit of lag. At least exclude SJ Maeve from this conversation.
Maeve shouldn't be on the list because street justice is a thing and you don't need to be all that good to go round finishing off kills with your daggers and pounce while easily being able to escape most forms of danger. She may be hard to master but she ain't all that hard to be decent at.
@@amelleine2110 thats not true. There is a card thats sends enemies further back so even if a Term has resi 3 you will destroy his ult. Ive done this so many times and yeah just feels so satisfying 😅
You know we always meme on paladin's definition of a "balanced" champion, but in my opinion evie is a very well made champion. Very fun movement, high risk high reward, a high skill ceiling while not being blatantly overpowered.
Maeve? Interesting! She’s been my Flank Main since I started playing the game quite a few years ago. ( I guess I figured out her Kit faster than I thought. Lol )
Everyone talks about the video, but no one mentioned how fast he talks and for someone who just discovered him, how difficult, or a bit difficult to get the information from the video because of his fast talking. Anyways interesting video, though i have some other thoughts about the rankings, on which are hard, and hardest to play.
How? Lex is very easy to play and master i use him a lot and he is easy but he doesnt have the mobility of andro or maeve so you need to know when to push
Eh, Maeve gives way too much value for her low-ish skill floor. Don’t get me wrong, she has an extremely high skill ceiling, and is a very deep and complicated character but she’s really easy to pick up and play
I agree , evie is the hardest to master , i tried multiple times and i couldn't time the "Q" - mouse 1 - "Q" (aka wormhole) correctly , it needs the ultimate focus and prediction of where your going to land after teleportation
I thought I was bad at the game because the first 3 champions I bought were maeve, mal damba and atlas, But apparently they are just difficult to play Edit: Is ying also a champion thats hard to play? Because I only heal around 40k per round at max with io I can do much more and much easier
@@deaddevil6334 good aim, years of practice, low ping, knowing all flanking routes, playing the hardest class, careful usage of dashes, missuse them and youre dead
I’m a Maeve main myself, but I’m not sure I really agree with her being on here. She’s probably the easiest flank aside from Zhin, Moji, or Skye tbh. Even Rogue’s Gambit isn’t that hard to use. She’s incredibly easy to aim with (fast projectiles with large hitboxes and an honestly negligible arc), has tons of very simple and powerful mobility, no damage fall-off, fantastic self-heals and damage reduction, and a very straightforward ult that’s easy to get value out of. I can’t see her being harder than Andro, for example. You do need to actually aim with him, at least.
She's easy to aim with? That's news to me. Personally, I have no trouble hitting projectiles like Makoa's or Pip's, not that much trouble with Cassie's, and hitscans are cake. Maeve's weird two-round burst that's fast-ish and has an arc that's not quite as steep as other lobbed projectiles has just never clicked for me. Compare that to Andro, who has a pinpoint accurate hitscan weapon with Cursed Revolver, easy mobility, and a reversal to block a bunch of incoming damage, and I just can't see how Andro is any bit harder than Maeve - at least, he's not nearly as hard of a champion to get into. Both champions have rather high skill ceilings, but the skill floor for Andro is far lower, I'd say. Maeve is no Evie, that's for sure, but she's also no Andro, Zhin, or Lex when it comes to the skill it takes to get into her.
@@AndrewChicken I'm honestly surprised to see so many people suggesting that andro be added to the list. My first ever game with him I was the second highest damage with the most amount of kills on my team. I was 3rd in kills for the Match and 3rd for damage. I was beat out by the enemy maeve coincidentally who was almost level 50 with maeve. Bottom line for me is andro is by no means hard to use. I feel that in your list though drogoz should've been higher than 5th. He's slow, fires projectiles, he's easier to counter than heals haha, no sustainability... He needs a buff actually to help him somewhere along the way
I already said it in a previous comment. Vora is really easy to pickup but to really master her it takes a bit. She's considerably more easy than Evie and certainly harder than maeve
Vora is not harder than Maeve really. Maybe she's on the same boat as Cat Burglar, but definitely easier to play than Rogue's gambit Maeve. I'd put Vora on the same level or a little bit harder to play than Andro, but I Mean, if you master her, she's the most broken champion right now, since, y'know, dr, godly self sustain, cripple, inmune to damage and cc on her rmb, good ult to escape or to secure kills, and one of the best mobilities in the game.
@@Marrrrley What I really hate about Vora is that you need to choose steady presence to be relevant in the game. Her other talents are really cool but as you're forced to always have 2 charges of your f so you can actually be a flank kinda sucks. Voras talent augmenting her q damage is really neat if you play her as a backline with diving potential. And her silence talent kinda sucks really hard. All in all she's a nice addition to the game and she's really fun to pick up but not that easy to master I wish they'd rework it so that she has 2 charges in her base kit. That would give her the chance to become the best flank in the game.
I have so much fun playing Evie and learning her even when I suck at the rounds. However, the negative people saying I should delete the game etc. just makes me want to quit playing her...
maeve was the first champion i started playing when i got into paladins a couple of years ago, and back then (before i stopped playing) i probably was the best among my friends solely because I could play her really well
Wouldn't say Damba is that hard to play. Although it requires some more aim than most healers, you can still get a lot of value out of him. Pip, Grover and Ying all seem more difficult to me just because their value drops significantly if the enemy team maxes out caut
My hardest champion I sometimes can’t play with because I suck is 1.Koga 2.Eevie 3.Atlas 4.Bomb King 5.Cassie 6.Mal Damba(can be pretty hard to when you have aim carefully) I would also say Maeve can be pretty hard champion in Paladins because it takes a lot of skills me to get used to play with her. I have some other champions I can’t even play even when I trained them I still don’t get why I can’t get used to using them…
I do agree that Maeve is a tough champion to play, however I play Evie and Damba better than how I play Maeve. My first time playing Evie, it went well since I’ve had the highest damage in the lobby during Payload. I had the third highest healing in a Onslaught lobby as Damba. Maeve is pretty hard hitting shots since her daggers have a swift arch to them and whenever I play as her I’m the first one to get shut down.
I'm not really sure I understand Maeve being on this list to begin with. She has hella vertical mobility and a pretty easy, fast, and decently hard hitting basic means of attack. I think the most difficulty she brings is managing her cooldown with Nine Lives. And even then I don't find her particularly difficult. My biggest issue was aim because I just generally have poor aim. Other than that, she's one of the easiest champions I regularly play. Maybe the fact I have good self-sustain in my loadout and use Cat Burglar is why I'm having an easy time? It was just weird seeing you not heal even a little while using Prowl running away wasting time.
Evie is the hardes Sure Evie has exploding shots with the smallest a.o.e and dirty damage unless u get direct shots, ice block is a death trap lol, she has to get the kill to rest cooldowns where most flankers just need an elimination or just hitting an enemy and in maeve and talus case they have cd resets in kits or legendary cards
@@primarella9717 the timer on your abilities and certain cards in your loadout can reset it so you don't have to wait as long for your abilities but you have characters like talus who have a coodown reset legendary card or androxus who can reset his netherstep just by landing his reversal, maeve have an ability the resets her other abilities but with Evie you have to get the killing blow but most other champs just have to land a hit or get an elimination + they all do more damage than Evie and have more health...hi Rez and balancing lol
Idk why but i first picked up evie right went i got into the game. I definitely dont have her mechanics down or mastered her but i founf her to be really fun and i still enjoy playing her.
Everyone out here saying how the most difficult champions are fun to play.... My team when I'm having "fun" as evie: REPORT REPORT REPORT yeah they're not fun until you're actually good at them, which will take a lot of time for casual players

Evie is easy too, shes really mean if you get wut i mean ":) Andrew,i got a favour to ask you.Make a video about top 10 funniest champions laughing on the realm! XD rofl.
i think pip is harder than damba, he can heal with the Q but no one does that, so you need to shoot your alies, and since it's not a hitscam its harder than damba M2
@@Viiridescence 3 shotting half the roster are you joking even if you were 3 feet away 3 shot would only be 1800 damage that only three shots evie! Lol what are you even talking about he has decent falloff to! I don’t understand how and where you got the idea that he three shots literally half the champions like that’s lowkey sad bro
In my opinion, healer Ying is harder than damba. If she misses her right click, Its a big mistake. If damba misses his right click, its no problem, because of card, that restore the cooldown if you miss
If we're only comparing right clicks, yeah hers is more punishing, but if you miss with ying, you can throw a clone out, and it heals automatically. The rest of her kit is easier, as you have a hitscan left click, a teleport that, while tricky, is much more forgiving than dambas, and her clones that auto target like I mentioned before. I will say though, that resonance ying can be pretty difficult if you're playing like RedRover ( ruclips.net/video/-10emZma53s/видео.html&ab_channel=RedRover ) but even so, you have the ability to play her with Life Exchange, which people think is her best talent anyways.
i would actually not add androxus on the list due to his braindead talent cursed cylinder, but back when he didnt had that talent he was really hard to the point that it was called a dead champ, if he stayed like he was before he would actually be like top 3 or 4 at least

People saying Maeve is not difficult when the only talent they pick is street justice lol
tbh Im still working on accuracy, if I could fricken aim good I would pick cat burglar.
I agree, the difficulty only comes from trying to master rouges gambit

I don't really agree about maeve. I think the skill needed changes with the talent you pick. Street justice makes her braindead, cat's bulgar makes her accessible (yet not that easy) and rogue's gambit makes her very hard to play (you constantly need to be mobile). Cat's bulgar, being probably her best talent, makes maeve a normal champion in my opinion.
I've mained car burglar when i was learning maeve but when you have good game sense and aim you can do a lot more with rogues gambit
as a maeve main I think rogue's gambit is my favorite but I HATE the bad press we all get from street justice. the talent just isn't fun :(
@@IsfetSolaris yeah sj is trash
@@IsfetSolaris Guess what type of champion counters a Maeve who is constantly jumping around
You may see that you entered it and still get killed
Just about the same can be said about bomb king.

@The Invisible Girl ye, real hard to go invisible, poison, and spray someone down before they realize your behind them...
Skye is not hard to play at all, what do you mean Invisible Girl? xD
As they said, shes mechanically one of the easiest champs to play, but it's really hard to get value out of her. Specially on mid to high elo. The same happens with Moji. To be honest, I respect more the Skye and Moji's carries on mid to high elo than an Andro carry y'know?

Not that hard, unless you are against a high mobility champion bc you know, the hitboxes are huge lol
Yes
bomb king is pretty hard I would say. Landing his shots and detonating them at the right time can take a lot of skill.

Bumper jumper on controller is the only way
GG for all the Evie.... Idk how it work but i've seen it's very complicated 🤯
Finally someone with a brain
bruh he has three insta win buttons and a get out of jail free card
I feel like drogoz needs a buff in certain areas. Maybe cutdown his cooldowns just a little bit, and changing a couple cards.
I have a issue with meave in ps4 I keep keep not turning left of right cause the left and right stick doesn’t work I have to press the m a differant way
At a high skill level, who is the better champ, Evie or Maeve?
im master rn and tbh its situational and u can always play one of the two better so its preference.
Evie has always had a higher skill ceiling than maeve so in general terms she is better. However, maeve is a far safer pick given her considerably easier shots to actually hit. So to answer 'who is better' I'd have to say they're pretty much dead even because they're situational
Bout the same
imo maeve, more winning matchups than evie has and more versatile
bruh, I do agree, when I started playing paladins 'cause of Evie, her personality at all, I like it, kinda remembers me of Jinx (league) both like blowing up stuff, but I couldn't play and do a good job with her, so I quit, started playing Ying, now I'm playing Maeve, and having lots of fun, so maybe I'll try Evie again soon, she's my fav champion no doubts.
Speaking of Damba, can someone tell me, is ripend gourd talent good?
Well yes, if you have many tanks. If you have two tanks, always go for ripened gourd. Even if you have only one tank, you can go ripened gourd if you feel like you can't land accurate shots with your primary heal.
With its recent buffs you can make it work but spirits chosen is a bit better, even though ripened gourd is easier to play with
Depends on your team comp
Its the best talent for me if u ask if your team have a tank that tanking with his body yago/inara etc it's erally good for your point tank but if your team have high mobility champoins dont use it they sohuld not be standing in ground also using damba is not a good idea with a high mobility team if u are not really reall good

That was a real and honest assessment of maeve.
He needs a buff actually to help him somewhere along the way
Androxus needs aim but Maeve don't? He's a hitscan, what the fuck are you talking about.
Do you think that Vora is a difficult champion to get really good at?
No lol she ez
@@Marrrrley What I really hate about Vora is that you need to choose steady presence to be relevant in the game. Her other talents are really cool but as you're forced to always have 2 charges of your f so you can actually be a flank kinda sucks. Voras talent augmenting her q damage is really neat if you play her as a backline with diving potential. And her silence talent kinda sucks really hard. All in all she's a nice addition to the game and she's really fun to pick up but not that easy to master I wish they'd rework it so that she has 2 charges in her base kit. That would give her the chance to become the best flank in the game.

As someone who plays Evie regularly(not main), I didn't even consider her as the hardest to play, even if she doesn't fit my usual play style😅
Number 0. Hitting a pro Evie as Kinessa
Wouldn't say Damba is that hard to play. Although it requires some more aim than most healers, you can still get a lot of value out of him. Pip, Grover and Ying all seem more difficult to me just because their value drops significantly if the enemy team maxes out caut

Yea I have heal cards too. Guess most Meave players look for Jill's rather than capping the point, or protecting a healer

Cool Video but in my opinion Maeve is quite easy to master
Ms vora can nerf tanks with unyielding pressure plus a ult she can also be a great healer slayer
