Theres a thing called operetta it's lite opera Vocals she is operetta nothing wrong with that though when it's all opera Vocals it can get old you need some verity it can't all be super operetic
Damn, Marco's first band is Tarot, he has been a part of it since the 80's. Then he played in Sinergy, but now he's not a part of it anymore. In 2002 he joined Nightwish and recently he became the singer of Sapattivuosi, a Finnish cover band of Black Sabbath and sings in the band Nothern Kings. He also took part in other projects such as Aina and then he worked with Delain.
Used to listen to Lucidity quite extensively over two years ago. Always knew Delain would come back and blow me away. Didn't see this album coming, but I must say... Delain is even more fantastic! Extremely catchy song.
oooh i love tht song with Marco Hietala(from nightwish) . tht guy got some powerfull vocals. but i have to admit their 2nd album is great...didnt think it would be... i need to stop underestimatin rising bands... KEEP ROCKING DELAIN
being of an older generation, I'm just enjoying the music, couldn't give a rats if they are or aren't this or that genre. Great song by the way and a good looking sort to boot.
I've been listening to this song constantly since it was on their website. God, I love it. I wish I could find a place to pre-order their album in the US that's less that $35 (what's on amazon which is just ridiculous...)

American people who listens to classic rock, metal and hard rock. Or people who listen to something that's not mainstream have good tastes. Like those that listen to classical epic music, jazz, blues, and old rock and roll. I'm american and I listen to delain so I have good tastes.
My little sister told me to search this up 'cause she thought it was like Nightwish. It actually seems to be more like Within Temptation. Not that that's a bad thing. Definitely a band worth listening to.
I like that this album seems to be a cheerful, or route-to-cheer symphonic metal album. It is a nice change from the doom songs. Not all are like that, but many have that theme. This one is uplifting.
@Visse90 I agree about Lacuna Coil, i'd say they have more of a prog sound. Symphonic metal has more of a structured feel, usually with a more glorified sound with more emphasis on the keyboard - ie Sonata Arctica's Everything fades to gray
Delain...new album? Really? Why was I not aware of this? I knew they were working on it, but I didn't know how close they were to finishing/releasing! This made my day. Please tell me it'll be released in the U.S. I'm dying from lack of this genre here. I mean, sure, Nightwish and Lacuna Coil are fine and all, and WT just got released here, but I personally think we could use a lot more!
I couldn't agree more. The worse part is that the people here in America have the most ignorant arguments...I said that making a Symphonic Metal band work well requires a lot of skill for the girl to have a truly amazing voice, the guitar players usually play a 7 to 10 minute song and the sync of an entire orchestra, with the singer, the guitar, the drums all perfect. And they say rap requires so much more skill. Oh my God...I need to leave this place!
Holland makes the best metal in the world, with out doubt! Well, Norway has a lot of great gothic metal bands, and Finland has some good bands too, like Nightwish. But serioutsly, symphonic metal from Holland is the best!!! =D
I think that metal and classical music go together perfectly :)
and their produce is this, the most beautiful and power genre ever !
Love this singer, she sounds good.
Foooortuuuune! SMIIIIILES ON YOUUU!!

I just recently started listening to this band. I have to say VERY AWESOME!!
I agree
Charlotte Wessels voice is soaring & majestic!!! Delain just keeps getting more and more spectacular!!
I like how keyboard driven this is without being pompous. I also like how Charlotte sings casual and not opera like.
She usually sings like this :)
Hey now. That pompous keyboard and also opera style can be (and for me is) deeply moving. It's not just for showing off. :P
Theres a thing called operetta it's lite opera Vocals she is operetta nothing wrong with that though when it's all opera Vocals it can get old you need some verity it can't all be super operetic
This is easily my most favourite song of all time, and Charlotte Wessels is an amazing singer
... and hot! :D
I've been hooked on Delain ever since I heard Frozen for the first time. I hope they tour the US.

I get lost in this song's lyrics! I love it soo much!
being of an older generation, I'm just enjoying the music, couldn't give a rats if they are or aren't this or that genre. Great song by the way and a good looking sort to boot.

We must categorize music!!! It's an absolute neccesity... It separates the cool dudes from those that like disco, hip hop, pop and country.
Great rock and roll, very nice vocal´s.:-)
Hail to Holland...Ruud Van Nisterlooy FTW..

I heard this song from Swallow the Sun, they used the intro as a BGM sometimes and I loved it 😂
One of the most powerfull intro songs.
Why isn't this band famous in the Netherlands? I had never heard of them before I saw this..

I love dutch symphonic, this is great.
I like that this album seems to be a cheerful, or route-to-cheer symphonic metal album. It is a nice change from the doom songs. Not all are like that, but many have that theme. This one is uplifting.
Love European bands , within temptation, epica, etc, the female leads have such angelic voices :D
Oh fine! Let's switch places! I live in Eastern Europe I wish I was living in America...

Roy Khan is Norwegian so it's not all American band and couldn't be called that way back in the day since he did most of the lyrics and stuff.
Metal IS rock and roll.

When I uploaded it, it was more HQ than the other versions already here, but I agree with you. It's far from HQ now :P

I never said Hardcore is scene, I was listing Scene, Metalcore, Deathcore, and other -core styles as seperate items.
