Update! The lifetime warranty alternator I bought, went out. A mechanic told me he has seen MANY 'off brand' alternators go out, so it's better to buy a GM part (AC Delco is apparently the OEM GM supplier, so I bought an AC Delco alternator) and so far it's running fine. It's only been in a week though. I'll update if it goes out!
Good idea, sorry this response is so late, I don't check the comments much. Torx bit (to access battery under floor) 7mm socket 10mm socket 13mm socket 15mm socket Wrench for the sockets. (I used 1/4" drive for small bolts, 3/8" drive socket for most bolts, and 1/2" drive breaker [as opposed to a 1/2" drive ratcheting wrench] bar to loosen the belt) Use the biggest that will fit in the area for best leverage. Jack, jack stands, wheel chocks Flat head screwdriver (long) Bungee cord 1/2" drive breaker bar 15mm wrench Extra large wrench (to get leverage)
Your idea of a list is great, so I replied, and went to move that list into my video description and it is there too! Hopefully you saw my description, since I was sooo late getting a response. Thank you!

Thank you! Just replaced the 'lifetime warranty' alternator that went out. Good thing I made a video on how to do it! lol, just kidding! But see my pinned post and consider a genuine GM part.
Is there enough room to put the pulley back in when the alternator is off? Example: put in the pulley with your left hand and while you're holding it, guide the alt in with right hand??? I want to make sure the pulley will go back in since there's no room to take it off before taking off alternator.
My ac no longer works after replacing the alternator in my 2011 enclave, the ac button blinks 3 times and the Air comes out hot, I left the batter completely unplugged for about 12 hrs as I had to go to work halfway through replacing the alternator, could that have affected anything? Other than that I followed the video 100% and everything else works fine
Just use bubble gum to connect... wait, no that's not right. Connect positive first, then negative. Righty tighty, lefty ummm, the other way to loosen. So if connecting, the nuts on the bolts will turn right (clockwise) to tighten.

Many thanks!
If you don’t take out the stud closest to the right wheel, you won’t struggle so much to put the new one back on.
Good idea! Thanks
Good images good photography helps a lot when you can see what you're doing thanks for your work
Thank you!
very clear video showing all steps. Thanks!!
Thank you!
Check Tensioner and other pulley for bearing noise while you're in there. Good time to replace the Belt.
Good point!
Definitely gonna subscribe
Could you possibly put a list of all the tools that you used?

Wow what a very informative video thanks

1/4 inch correct fit on two studs
Thanks! After using the 10 and 13mm, I just kept using my metric set. Prefer standard as I have more standard tools than metric. Oh well. :)

The spring on the pully is very strong. I don't think you could hold it with one hand while guiding the alternator in with the other hand.
I need to do mine, and the video is very helpful. Did the GM alternator go out at all or is it still working? Thanks for the video!
Sorry, I had not looked at comments for a long time. GM alternator still going strong after several years.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it

Leaving battery unplugged should not affect anything. Check fuses first. Did you find out why air conditioning wasn't working?
Your compressor gave up..
what is the time that a mechanic would bill
I think only 1 or 2 hours.
How do I connect the battery
