I didn't start playing Ultimate until I was 40+, so I am in old men's leagues, but my son (now 17) is a burgeoning talent -- speed, jumping ability, an innate sense for where the disc is going, and infinite stamina. When we get to play in pick-up games together, it is some of the best father/son moments I can ask for.
Aaron Muldowney athletic ability plus play style of soccer. In that the play doesn't stop on a turnover and that there is no limit to where you can go and how long it takes to score. I would say pivot sense in regards to basketball. But I can see where you get the defensive mindset as well. Although I believe that could also be seen in soccer too.
riley peterson The fast breaks in ultimate are like soccer but the play near the endzone is more like lacrosse. That's how it feels to me having played midfielder in lax.

At this level, u see these players having sportsmanship no matter their own teammates or opponents. Just look at american football, when they tackle/hit an opponent to the ground, they stand up and start celebrating at them to make themselves look cool. Even though we do see some sportsmanship in American football, it is only the minority. But then in ultimate frisbee, they help each other up if they have knocked their opponents onto the ground.
I love how nobody knows this sport exists yet it's a highschool, college, club, and pro sport, just like the others. In fact the pro levels for frisbee go way past most other sports in terms of age. My dad is past 50 and still going strong with grand masters. Wish nationals were still happening though... Also people who come to this video just to comment "this isn't a sport" are just butthurt that they can't do any of the shit in this video, and if they say they can... we'll see you on the field, buddy
As a handler I have to say that these highlights focus on the cutters/defence plays. I understand that they are the 'Highlight reel' plays but a few inch perfect hucks wouldn't go a miss.
This game is neat, but needs a handicap. Almost every time a team gets the disc, they score. It’s rare to see an interception or a swat for some reason. These games usually end up nearly tied.

The best part of these highlights are the 2 plays at 2:25 and 2:36. Right after an amazing catch, he helps his opponent up. Sportsmanship right there.
Much better to show good sportsmanship than do some after play taunting. Plus, you don't look like a dingus
