So how does one do camera sharing on a UNVR (I only want to share 1 cameras view amongst a number of cameras) without paying for Identity Enterprise or adding them as an admin locally on the UNVR (which will give them access to all the cameras) ?
So what do you do if you do not have any of the "Identify" options listed on your console OS settings. I do not have the little "Identity Enterprise" tab on the left and under users do not have the option to send Identity Invitation Links. So how do I set this up so I can set it up? Im on the latest update UDM pro, have 6 talk phones, unifi access and reader
Lars, I believe you're misunderstanding the limit of 4 WiFi networks. That means you cannot add one-click WiFi until you remove one of your four existing networks in order to add one-click WiFi as the fourth network.
Hi, just wanted to ask about door access some more. Is there a way of just holding your phone (I have an iPhone) up to use the NFR and open the door? So that you don’t need a card? I’ve looked around quite a bit but can’t find a definitive answer. I saw something on UniFi about shaking your phone when near the reader too?
No, there is no phone-NFC method available, at least not in any official capacity. It would be cool though. I haven't heard of the shaking either, and that feature isn't in any settings I can find.
The access reader pro does have a “mobile wave” to unlock feature. It was also has “mobile tap” to unlock. These settings must be enabled through the unifi access on the browser or on the app.
@@rrwerekr It is the UA reader lite that can do the "hand wave" to unlock, not the pro. There is no "mobile tap" option, but rather a "mobile access", which just means it can be used through the mobile app.
According to the docs, the UDR should work with all four services on the free plan too. Do you see the little identity icon in the top right when you go to "Admins & Users" -> "Users" in the Unifi OS?
It doesn't work for me as I'm on a CGNAT connection (Starlink), but if you are on standard issue NAT it should work. You need to set up a VPN on your UniFi Network controller too.
I was wondering the same thing when I was editing the video. Even though the official shiny video from Unifi shows cameras, there is no mention of Protect anywhere in the docs, mobile app, or Unifi OS. I am hoping it will come though.
I’m using the free UniFi Identity Enterprise Plan here in the UK, the US limitation is only for paid plans. Also the camera integration works, shows up as a button on the app, so wonder if that feature is enterprise only, for me the 5user limit is fine (more than enough for testing at home)!
@@dh-net Oh, right. So the docs don't really mention the free enterprise plan, hence I kinda didn't mention it. In my case I can't use it as it keeps saying add existing workspace using the "Identity Enterprise Manager", which I don't have anywhere I can find, and I have never accessed it. 🤔I would love to try out the camera feature though.
Love the t-shirt Lars. Great video.
Thanks Kim 😊 It is also true 😂
Thanks Lars, again tech with character! P.S I also love the shirts.
Haha, thanks Murray. Glad you like it 😊
Thanks for sharing, might try this out
Yeah, give it a go. It might make some things easier, or at least you how and what 🙂

Good question. One way is to use the "Share Livestream", which is under Settings for the camera. That is an anonymous share of a single camera.

Do you see an "Identity" tab under "admins and users" in your Unifi OS? The UI has changed a little bit since I made the video.
@@LarsKlintTech yup found it, ty
@@LarsKlintTech Thanks! I couldn't locate it either, but I found it under admins/users!

Thanks for the tip. I did realise this after publishing too. Appreciate the support.
Also, if you turn off meshing then you can have I think it is 8 SSIDs.
@@fretbuzzly Oh yeah! I didn't know that. Thank you 😊

Does this work on a UCK g2 plus? Cause I cant see the option. This is ofcourse 10 months later Nevermind, I cant do Wifi with the door access
I don't think Unifi Access is supported on the UCK Gen 2 Plus.
UDR has any limitation??? I cant see the Identity Enterprise option in my UDR... Im updated (Unifi OS 3.2.7)

@@LarsKlintTech i cant see this option. I have other consoles (UDM Pro and UDR). And the identity icon just appears on UDM Pro... :(
@@nicolapicoli Strange. I am not sure why it wouldn't. Perhaps this is a question for support? If you find out, please let me know though 😊
On UDR Identity is it’s own section alongside Admins Users & Groups
Did the sound drop off at abut 12 minutes when you were at the door?
Nope, sound is fine on my end 🤔
Strange. Just tried it on a tablet and it works. No sound on Firefox on my laptop.😊
@@ubeaut I used the special firefox:nosound tag for that part. No, I have no idea why 🤷♂
did anyone manage to get the one click VPN to access the LAN? seeing lots of issues on the community site and getting this issue myself.

Wondering about integration with a new device. Will a new email/ access code be sent when users get a new device?
I don't think so. It should be the same account the user is using, although there is nothing stopping you from creating a new invite.
@@LarsKlintTech perfect! Just wanted to make sure a new invite didn’t need to be generated every time a user gets a new device.
@@alyssabraida Nope, as long as the user logs in with their credentials in the UI Identity app.
I like it but I cannot setup my WiFI 192 bit WPA3 Enterprise. Only it shows WPA2 Enterprise.
So does this mean I don't need UID anymore for my small business and/home.
No, I don't think that is what it means. It is just an alternative to run it locally for free.
