I'm not even a singer, but i'm watching this and I laughed so hard when you said "kids don't try this at home" because everytime I listen to her music, I try and do exactly what I hear her doing, and my voice suffers. I just want to sound like Ariana when I sing.
Joshua I know right? It's like her voice can reach the stratosphere. In the context of the latest single l heard from her "God is a Woman". So in that case, her voice can reach the heavens.
Neither i am, but i just start to strain really hard in such high notes as F#5, but i can even hit G#5's, and rarely i've hit A5's

She's not calling Ariana grande a little girl because of her age, she's referring to the fact that the majority of petite people tend to have higher voices/a higher range than people who aren't petite

ANYONE no matter what genre you sing or even if you are a bass, you can belt high. If you use great technique and taking enough time, you can hit the dangerous woman highnote which starts out with an E5 when she belts “somethin bout you” and then she goes even higher to MANY G5s. There is also falsetto before the highnote at a B5.

Hello! I have just watched this video.
My problem is that my voice becomes raspy whenever I try to sing (Im not a singer), especially when reading or speaking loudly, which makes me embarressed and not comfortable in front of people 😞 Maybe my voice is raspy by nature. Should I train my vocal cords? Is there any other voice exercises to practice singing in a good manner?

Mar Mar I think some people may have a natural rasp. A singer really identifiable with that is Macy Gray.
Even her is being challenge, on Ariana's voice. It's really hard to do and copy, it takes a long and hard practice to be like Ariana. And also, it means Ariana is only one 😉😍 #arianator here 💞

No wonder when i felt like my voice starting to sounds not so well, I'm trying to use "crooked voice" techniques. Luckyly as time passed by, my vocal range becomes wider itself and I can hit high note easily.

most of the time I try singing this song really deep. and I can when I'm singing it by myself without the song playing. but when I try singing along while its playing my voice tries matching up to hers and it strains. I'm really trying to work on my high notes.. but my voice always seems to get stuck on the high note I was trying and I can't get it back to a deep voice without having to drink water. help!
I get your struggle I more like chest voice person I'm just so comfortable there
think about the "high" notes going down as "higher" you go. It's REALLY helpful. And remember to breath properly. it can also be helpful to humming before singing it. That will help you loosing up ur tension. i have been there, trust me. i'm an alto

Glottal stops are fine to use and are healthy. Just don't overuse them :)
