I have been in the mortgage servicing field for close to a decade, and I can attest that when I train people, I explain that the training process is difficult and long because you can only learn how to handle what comes up as an issue on the job and that "you don't know what you don't know until you don't know it." Looking to go to law school in Fall 2024 so I'm glad I found your channel! :)
THIS was so incredibly helpful! I've watched so many videos like these and I think this was the first one that truly went into detail so I'm grateful!! And I love how transparent you were!
This comment makes me SO HAPPY!! Thank you for watching!! I’m so glad you found it helpful. Just out here trying to share the information no one told me 😂
Your advice is so helpful! I've been considering law school for a few years and collecting tips/feedback from law students & attorneys on the do's and don'ts of law school 😊
I would say one thing I’ve realized is that we’re all just figuring it out the best we can! Everyone who went ahead of you had someone show them the ropes, just like you will have someone show you the ropes, and hopefully now you will show someone else how it goes!
This is so true! Most people you go to school with have never been to law school before and are similarly just trying to figure it out as they go. Finding good mentors and a network of support is so helpful!
Law school is very intense in all respects. And competitive. And so many arrogant, self important classmates who can't get over themselves because they are LAW STUDENTS. Tune them out. imptessed with
Great video. So glad you know you want to be a litigator. As a career paralegal who has polled jurors after a verdict, I've learned that likeability matters. You have the communication skills necessary to make key points, and you have a natural, relaxed way of speaking. And whether people want to believe it or not, beauty helps. You have a great career ahead of you. Good luck with your next chapter!
I love how transparent you are, I am going to apply for this years fall cycle and this is so helpful! I have two kids and a husband so the time constraint and challenge for law school will be interesting ❤️ Thank you!
Of course! I’m glad you found it helpful! I plan to do a Couples q+a about surviving law school too. It can be difficult but absolutely doable. Good luck with your applications!!
Definitely check out the physical location of the school. I declined to attend a small law school located in a rural hamlet where there was nothing to do besides studying. I am from a major city and knew I could never live in a rural environment.
Question! I have a 6 months old baby girl and my dream is to become a lawyer, her father is a paramedic with weird 12-hour shifts, some being day shifts and some being night shifts with 4 days working and 4 days off. I am hoping to go to law school in about 4 years after doing my undergraduate. By then, she will be about 5 years old. With point #2 when you said to try (if you can) to not have major life events happening at least in your first year of law school, do you know anyone who's gone to law school and managed to succeed with trying to go to law school as well as raise a child? That is the thing that stresses me out the most.
There are MANY law students who are also parents and are balancing parenting and law school extremely well! I have a few classmates who gave birth during our first year of law school (and have done well academically). It’s not easy, but it is absolutely possible. So long as you have great time management and people in your life who can help out when you’re particularly busy, like during exam time, you’ll be in a great spot. Try to remember to give yourself grace through the process when you’re feeling overwhelmed. You got this. Congratulations on your little one and good luck on your law school journey!!
I hope it doesn’t hurt! But you never know how people will recieve that information. I also have many friends and classmates who didn’t follow that typical law school path and were successful in landing the jobs they wanted. The journey is different for everyone. There’s no “one size fits all” law school experience. Thanks for watching!
@@osnapitzkenzie trust me dont blame you, i will be moving to uni in few months so the thought of being able to decor my room and keep the decor for as long as i want makes me extremely happy!!!
Hi there! It varies by school. At BU you do one semester of each. At other schools, you may do two semesters of a certain subject. Most schools post their 1L curriculum on their website so, if you have a particular school in mind, you can see how they structure their first year courses.
I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing LSAT, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..

Agreed 😂 I’ve been told I have the gift of gab. Good thing I’m a litigator!
Why do you even need to go to law school if it doesn’t help you be a lawyer?🤷♀️
That is a great question 🙃
you're my elle woods
The best compliment you could ever give me!!
I am a new subscriber. How much time in law school was spent on contract law compared to property and tort law?

@@osnapitzkenzie Thank you for the response and information.
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
Passing the LSAT is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Mr Thomas
I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔
I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing LSAT, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
Please does anyone know who this Mr Thomas is? I really need to speak with him I’m frustrated.
Thank you so much for sharing! I am taking my soon and I'm SO nervous
Lol.
Adorable as always
