Outstanding discussion replete with a major dose of reality about NIL and transfer. Thank you. I watch a number of podcasts and this one was the best of them on the Badgers.

Continue to recruit and portal a beefed up strong D-line. Elevate qb play with qb that can run better not just a strong and accurate arm, and consider tweaking the RPO offense scheme by hiring a new OC and offering Longo option to stay as qb coach and assistant OC.

WI will have to count on recruiting. WI doesn't pay well enough to get many good players in the portal. Here and there they can find some, but overall the portal has been a big bust.

Wisconsin has had some bad QB mojo, we deserve a break. Hornibrook concussions, Coan breaking foot, Mordecai breaks hand, Van Dyke ACL. Sucks. Where would Minny be if Brosmer got hurt, 2-7?

UW is not ready at two of the most important positions in football, QB and DL. If you don't have those you can't even be competitive with the top teams and teams that have great lines. We need to be patient with the staff as long as they can bring in their guys to progress. Most fans had little to no expectation bc they haven't had a chance to play the way they want to play. Bad line play and QB trickles down to bad play all around.

Maybe break down the film on the players IU has this year for the offense they are running and search for those kind of guys to recruit and portal and the portal guys need to be guys with successful experience at it where they are coming from. What else does Cignetti do? Figure it out and use it. He seems to focus a lot on the details in each play and winning the play. He says it a lot. Maybe that’s part of the magic to borrow from too.

IU looks awesome for sure, but I’m guessing they would have lost to Alabama, Penn State, at Kinnick, and maybe even at the Coliseum before USC was banged up. The stars aligned for Cignetti - mature smart QB and cake schedule. I’m sure his agent will renegotiate his contract in December

@ Pointless comment since they were not on their schedule. You play teams on your schedule. They could have beaten any of the teams you listed but we will never know since not on either teams schedule.

@@mark8337 I don’t think strength of schedule is pointless. Sorry we disagree.

@@williamwojcieszek4320 It’s pointless to say they would have lost to teams they haven’t played. Because nobody knows that.

Damn, this was a tough listen. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. If you see one, it’s another top 5 team about to eviscerate you.

It wasn't just bringing in Luke. He brought an awesome recruiting staff and his weight room staff - Awesome! Last year, your best player had to come forward to call out his team for under achieving - SHAMEFUL! This year, they lost their best QB vs Alabama -tough! This year's schedule was one of the toughest in the BIG! Against Oregon WI played unbelievably tough for 4 quarters. They attacked on D and on O made adjustments on the fly. I am dissapointed that we lost but prior to the game I was hoping that we would lose by < 14 as did we all. Some bad passes and dropped balls doomed this team. Van Dyke was a huge loss. I believe that better days are coming!

Well Matt, need to knock on the doors of Wisconsin millionaires and billionaires to sponsor the players compensation in order to get that talented line up. You’re right, it’s a stretch and auto disappointment to try to get it from middle class fans. It’s just not realistic.

Longo keep hitching is wagon to Locke. Damn good kid, but not a good QB. Longo needs to give Locke the Chryst treatment. Buh-Bye. Put in Mettauer because he'll get a free game to learn against OR since it's an automatic loss. Then prep for NE.
