@@mrsain19 memory does not serve you correct. Sid had plenty of chances in both WWE and in WCW to do a favor for Bret, he just never did. And what does it have to do with your initial comment? Because obviously if Bret took that good of a power bomb, he was helping to get Sid over. Sid could have done the same for him by taking the sharpshooter once, or putting Bret over in a different way
@@TheNotbadphonedaddy to be honest, if bret is doing those jobs for sid, it must have been out of some sort of respect. And those jobs certainly helped sid to get over, no doubt about that. Sid essentially beat everyone BUT the undertaker during that time. Looking back at how storylines played out in WWF during that period, sid never had an opportunity to do a job to Bret. They had Bret tied up with others and same with sid. However, I could see where sometime in 98 or 99 where sid could have done the job to and for Bret in WCW. Just never happened. Essentially for the same reasons. They were wasting bret....and had sid tied up with goldberg and others. But remember, those guys dont particularly control that. Bret learned that the hard way unfortunately in montreal. But overall, I was always pretty entertained with Sid vs Bret matches. They worked very well together.
@@mrsain19 while Bret did respect Sid, it was more a matter of booking than it was about doing a job out of respect. Sid the jobs for Shawn michaels, diesel, and if I thought hard enough about it I could come up with a few other names. To say that Sid never had the opportunity to do the favor back for Bret is ignorance. They wrestle the total of five televised matches. Bret pinned Sid with a schoolboy roll up in a lumberjack match. It was not a clean victory, so I don't count it. Then Sid pinned Bret with a clean power bomb on Monday night raw. Then said pinned Bret again with a clean power bomb at the in your house. Then in the only steel cage match that Bret ever lost during his WWE career, Sid beat him on Monday night raw. During that time, Sid could have put Bret over at least once. Even in their untelevised matches, it always ended with either Sid winning, a count out or disqualification. As to wcw, Sid did not want to work with Bret. He said he was too difficult to work with. And frankly that really pisses me off, because Bret did nothing but bury himself underneath sid, in order to make Sid look like a god. One of the things that Sid said in regards to his matches with Bret, is that he felt that Bret was too small to defeat him. Yet he had no problem doing jobs for Shawn Michaels. The undertaker, Kevin nash, Scott Hall and others who were built similarly to Sid had no problem putting over Bret. To the contrary, this is about professionalism and fairness. I feel the same way about Steve Austin. He did a bunch of jobs for Bret, but Bret never did the job back for steve. Now that was not Bret's fault. He wanted to do a job for Steve. Matter of fact he wanted to lose the heavyweight championship to Steve. So a much different circumstance, but Steve having one victory over Bret should have happened at some point
Nobody should ever criticize. Sids powerbomb was the best. He's the first guy who comes to mind when the powerbomb is mentioned. He may of not invented it. But he popularized it in the late 80's and 90's much like Jake did with the Ddt a few years prior. If you watch the compilation, his powerbomb got better and had its own artisty to it. RIP SID.

I was damn near crying laughing at Hogan's seizure sell job 😂😂
Sid powerbomb looks more safe compared to Kevin nash's powerbombs
@@georgebeard7445 Factsss.... & nice to see Nash get powerbombed too lol
The two powerbombs given to Davy Boy Smith, looked odd. Like he couldn’t pick him up cleanly
Don't forget the most devastating in Wrestle War 1991 War Game.
Nearly killed Brian Pillman
I can feel his lower back stress.

Always loved how Bret took the power bomb. He would essentially dead weight himself at the top so the impact would be loud and intense.
Bret did FOUR televised jobs to Sid. Sid owed him at least one favor in return that he never gave.
@@TheNotbadphonedaddy um ok. He never exactly got the chance if memory serves me correctly.
But what's that have to do with my initial comment?
I don't know why people criticize Sid's powerbomb. He's just being safe, it's a dangerous move when careless.
RIP SID.
wow i never saw Ted Dibiase take a powerbomb....
And a few years later Debiase was managing Sid
Sid was jacked AF! The traps and shoulders on him!!
The funny thing is that the heavy opponents are selling the powerbomb much better. 🤷♂️
Who can powerbomb Diesel and Razor Ramon easily ?The answer is SID🎉🎉
Interesting to see the power bomb vs Scott Hall that was his last WCW appearance.
Hall tries to discreetly clutch his shoulder
Glad he changed it to the release powerbomb. It looks the best.
What a monster he was
Rip big man
1:29 my personal favorite. I like how sids powerbomb is a smooth motion from beginning to end.
Thank you Taker, best pro ever !
@@Miiiiiiighty yeah he totally sold that. Made it look great!
