00:00 - Fill in the Blank 05:03 - Bodys 11:13 - Sober To Death (w/ Powderfinger interlude!) 19:59 - Drunk Drivers / Killer Whales these live performances keep getting better, their stage presence feels a lot more natural compared to previous live shows. I hope things continue to go well for them!
That twin guitar combination really works well. Will sings more like that he is sedated without playing guitar in the same time. Finally they keeps in time really well... pitch is now on flat line. Impressive
Wow. Love the Neil Young's cover in the middle of Sober to death. Can't wait to see them in Dublin in May. definitly doesn't look like they are here to deliver the mail.
It was pretty cool. It was a real cool gig. Everybody was in great form. They play with the guys from Naked Giants on this tour (the support). You are in for a treat.
Nice one man. Are the support worth seeing for their own stuff? I'm quite bad for intentionally trying to miss it usually to get a few more cheaper beers down me, but if they're playing with CSH my interest might be peaked a bit more.
The music is great. The crowd is... not. Were they forced into the show? I'm guessing it was a live radio performance? Maybe in the daytime before the show? Still, get into it SoCal.
Vincent Pierce It wasnt ambient lo fi indie pop with every person on stage dressed like a stereotypical person from the mid 80’s, so they didn’t get into it. Maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but i’d LOSE IT if i saw these guys live.
dangerousaniimals I personally love the classic sober to death from the first twin fantasy the best but I love the song so damn much no matter how they play it it’ll be perfect to my ears
In my opinion The Strokes have only had one good album (is this it) which don’t get me wrong, is absolutely fantastic, but Car Seat Headrest is extremely consistent, and all their work is either good, or fantastic.
Jear that is such a bullshit classic argument from someome who only heard one strokes album (is this it). Ignoring how fantastic room on fire was, I'd say first impressions of earth was incredible, and comedown machine had some of the best song writing I've seen in years ( even ur idol will toledo agrees lmao ). don't fkn compare the strokes to car seat headrest. i love csh but the strokes are on a COMPLETELY different level they basically CARRIED the 2000's rock revival and ANY great rock band that would come out back then would be COMAPRED to them for a REASON. opinions are opinions but people need to quit acting like julian casablancas is just some average song writer when he's managed to prove himself more.
19:40 Shout out to my girl who requested The Ballad of the Costa Concordia!! My favorite CSH song!
wills little dancing is so cute
I didn't even recognise Fill In The Blank until the vocals came in. Fucking love it.
Jeff Boyrubber I know right. It's pretty damn cool.
It’s so cute seeing Will with his maracas, and he kinda killed it hehe
one of Will's best vocal performances holy hell how have I not seen this until now????

Sober to Death is interpolated with Powderfinger (Neil Young) for a stretch in the middle... AWESOME

Hey, do you know the name of the main guitarist next to Will, who sung during the interlude? Thanks

Will Toledo playing the maracas is a thick fucking mood
Fill in the Blank was amazing 🔥

How was it seeing them cover Talking Heads? Seeing them in Liverpool on Saturday and the set they played in Dublin's got me dead fucking excited

they r not too bad, kind of garagy, bluesy at time....u can drink and watch...lol
Nico Rigo I'm a skint arse student so usually try top up on some tinnies to save on the venue prices lol. Cheers for the info though mate!
Holy shit, this was so fucking good. Their live performances are only getting better after the new album
the best live version of drunk drivers/killer whales is when he screamed the lyrics from the single version at the pitchfork festival
Jeff where can you find it? Don't seem to find it on yt
b a s m a s _ ruclips.net/video/r7FgOcZMCPk/видео.html
he screams it around the last two minutes

These are the folks who start leaving in the 7th inning, win or lose. Gotta beat that traffic. World Series or not...
Sober To Death is so freaking beautiful
this is an incredible performance the crowd was pretty dead though,
You rock out with those maracas Will!! Fudge yeah!!
Honestly one of the most fantastic live performances from the group though. Sober To Death and Drunk Drivers we’re so incredible
god damn the mixing on this is amazing
is it the chorus yet?
**NO!**
xD
CAUSE WHEN THE CHORUS DOES COME.......
This is so sad
literally crying for how good it is. Wish they´d come to Costa Rica
Can't wait to see them this summer!!
I watched andrew the whole time. wooooowwwwww
It’s weird not seeing Will with a guitar.
6:52 HOP HOP HOP
OMG I LOVE THIS ! 💙💙💙
Very nice video performance - #885FMSoCal
they're like guardiola's barcelona
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PERFECT
They should’ve put this version of Sober to Death on the album
dangerousaniimals I personally love the classic sober to death from the first twin fantasy the best but I love the song so damn much no matter how they play it it’ll be perfect to my ears
Nothing Here the same i says
andrew looks like hes tripping balls in this
The crowds are too silent, like they fell asleep accompanied by Will's voices.
rattle really fits Will, hhhhh
Didn't know Andrew was a St. Pauli fan.
Will really needs a guitar in his hands tbh
:(
he sings much better this way tbh
nuss yup much better singing but most performances look better when the main singer has a guitar but that doesn’t really matter
nah
i disagree. he has a much stronger stage presence when he doesn’t need to focus on guitar.
I find this new format a little bit weird. Will can sing better without playing the guitar tho
They are touring with 'naked giants' and playing together as a 7 piece band.
Yeah, I have heared that some frontmen sing better without playing a guitar since they don't have to concentrate on two things at once.
Nah this new formation is the peak of CSH
His voice is really fucking top notch here
will.....................
compared to the kexp the audio of this performance is terrible quality, but its still fun
GG
Why isn't Will playing guitar??
this version of sober to death is better
awful crowd
Godshit
nope... this new live version aint't for me, I prefer the raw more sensitive Car Seat Headrest
the crowd sucks omg at least pretend like you care
i rather see isle of dogs on and endless loop.....than listen to this strokes knock off.
Well, you know, that's just your opinion, man.
Isle of dogs is fantastic and so is car seat headrest!
so anyone with a vocal delivery similar to Julian Casablancas is a Strokes knock off?
In my opinion The Strokes have only had one good album (is this it) which don’t get me wrong, is absolutely fantastic, but Car Seat Headrest is extremely consistent, and all their work is either good, or fantastic.
