I dont understand how esam casually goes toe to toe with top 10 players online then gets 33rd at b tiers
Some people are just better in friendlies and struggle more with tourney pressure, and with pika being a high execution char it's even harder under pressure

Bruh what, are you sure it isn't quick attack being way worse offline and him having bad habits like tjolt in the corner lol, he used to win, so idk if choking is the issue
Esam could beat anyone but also can be beaten by anyone. He has consistency issues, and mostly that falls in his playstyle. He's pretty hard on push forward and mash mindset, which he admits and other top players criticize that he can go hard and also it becomes his biggest downfall.
input latency is a real thing, pikachu doesn’t suffer as much as certain characters

I mean that's from years of early Smash experience in both Melee and Brawl. Sm4sh onwards the gameplay becomes just edgetrapping and less risking off stage due to ledge mechanic and recovery buffs.
