    The NBA media is helping to destroy basketball's popularity. Instead of focusing on quality teams and covering the younger, more effective stars, they are stuck talking about players who aren't even playing right now.

    • @JB-tp6uj
      @JB-tp6uj 4 месяца назад +1

      The numbers don't back that up. This is a reality that all sports face, but none quite like the NBA because the individual stars are front and center as opposed to being behind a mask (football) or so far away from the fans (baseball). All of these networks see the numbers when they attempt to talk about the new "stars". They don't generate near the numbers and views that topics with LeBron, the Cowboys, Steph Curry, The Lakers, or the Yankees generate. I certainly won't argue that you are ready for them to talk about other players and teams, but it's not going to happen until a younger player or team steps up and becomes interesting to the masses.

      There are only a handful soccer player I can think of, who played till 39-40 anywhere close to a top level. Maybe CBs like Maldini, Thiago Silva or Pepe. Matthäus iIrc was quite good till 38, or maybe Modric, but Modric mostly only plays 20 min a game these days. I guess Zlatan was still decent too unless he was injured, which was most of his final seasons. Soccer and Basketball players have very similar expiration dates, I don't see a significant difference here. There are certainly no 39 year olds in soccer performing like Lebron did this year, which I agree is a bit suspect.

      Warriors are a 3 headed monster: SC, Klay and Dray.
      SC - sniper, threat from deep.
      Klay - now washed and went 0/10 in the elimination game. He is supposed to be the side kick.
      Dray - suspended 25 games, drops 9 points on a good night, isn’t even a low post offensive threat.
      Give SC something to work with, and he has a better chance than LBJ and KD.
