      @@BrettKollmann It's amazing to watch his swim move now. It's so sweet to watch him get that pad level low. And there is almost nothing more inspiring than seeing him take on double teams with that corkscrew leg drop and leave a huge lane or scrape over for Leonard. People talk about him like he's always been good, but this has been an amazing improvement. Shout out to Coach Zgonina and Kocurek!

      Me too. I hope this guy comes into his own and is as good as this video makes him out to be. 49ers just signed Elvis Dumervil today. Slightly out of his prime. Probably wont play as good as he did in Denver or Baltimore. But a good addition nonetheless. Im really hoping the defense it better this upcoming season. They were so awful last year.

    3:24 you don't keep bull rushing when you're in the position because the OG will cover due to the initial Bullrush not being effective. Notice how the OG sits than recovers than lunches. That would be a good time to counter to a swim move instead.

    I feel like this was a scheme issue as well because the scheme was very confusing in SF last year. Werent asked to pass rush much but read and react in a 2 gap scheme

  • @jrs6770
    @jrs6770 7 лет назад

    He does the club-rip to the outside most of the time due to balancing the rush. And some to the plays where he missed the tackles were due to the pass rushing scheme breaking down and not putting enough pressure on the QB to step into the pocket during the inside and outside stunt.

    You should talk about Mike Daniels or maybe Aaron Donald. Both of them play DT, which is truly an unselfish position. You often talk about pass-rushers and how it is not all about the sacks. Players at the DT position doesn't really get that many stats, but as we all know games are won in the trenches.

    On the first play that you talk about his bull rush where he wins initially and then stops playing, is it possible that he is stopping his rush just to keep the guard occupied as the end loops around to fill that gap the guard vacated? If he continued his bull he would push the guard into that space the end loops into.

    And now look how’s he playing. Leads the league pressures as a interior lineman

    This is exactly why I was upset with them trading him.. They should've let Armstead walk, re-signed Sanders and Ward, and then paid Buckner next off-season.. But instead they're gonna pay Armtead $18 million a year just to rush the passer - because he's useless against the run.
