I worked in corrections for 7 years and I’ve seen 100% of this. I’ve seen men beaten for simply leaving a t shirt hanging too long. The irony is that 90% of these inmates live with rules and respect on the inside but live like shit on the outside. It makes you wonder how much better and different their lives would be if they applied that same mindset outside of the prison that they do inside.
There is no other choice there, its like military they check each other and themselves. In prison the answer to every problem is violence and/or intimidation, it can be difficult to change that mentality after getting out.

I had a really cool cellie the one time I had a cellmate in East House in Vista. I only went to County for this fight I got into when I was in the Marines, but I KNEW I was getting kicked out of the Corps for it and I was MAD AS HELL! Well, so my cellie talked with me like everything I was saying was completely rational and reasonable and then when we were let out to the day room he switched cells and just told me after that that he just had an opportunity to sleep in a warmer cell on the second tier, but after I calmed down two days later he goes, "You okay now dog? I wasn't sure when you got here whether you were a real psycho or just drunk and mad. You're cool, but stay calm man." Classic really. I was so lit angry when they slammed the door behind me. That was 12-21-2009, East House Cell 7, the little triangle cell in the bottom left corner. I just like mind tripped back to right then. Dang.
Yeah, jail was a good experience. The guys there helped me see what I needed to see to start www.allinservice.org, this little project helping kids on juvenile probation. Specifically this dude Cuban Mike down in East Mesa told me to figure out a way to help kids to keep from becoming adult offenders who re-offend.

@DMoney Industry No, its prison that shows you that the people outside are in their own prison

Here's a quote from a movie I watched years ago , I can't remember the name it was a pretty shit movie but this quote stuck in my mind ever since ...... " let those who love us , love us and those who don't may your God turn their hearts . ... If he cannot turn their hearts then turn their ankles.....so we know them by their limping " that stuck I'm my head for ever Wes. Take what you can from it . Big love from the UK brother 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💯💪
I like the golden rule: treat others as you want to be treated. Karma. What goes around comes around. And kill them with kindness and when they’re waiting for something to happen Or be said , say nothing. .
Great stuff as always big dog 💯
This was without question one of the most positive and motivating videos I’ve seen. Wes thank you homie.

One definition of character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking!!!! Being honest with or without consequences makes being honest with others come easily when you’re used to being honest with yourself first and as a rule!! Real Talk

Man Wes, you're an outstanding individual. I'm a Life Coach at a treatment center and would love for you to come pay our guys a visit. The age range is 17 to 27. I know for a fact you'd have these kids in a state of awe. I admire your realness and honest approach. Much love big homie.
My mother engrained “ god helps those who help themselves” in me since I was really young. When adversity strikes thats something i think of but it can be applied to every aspect of your life, “patience is a virtue” is the other one when your in certain situations dealing with people who aren’t as inept or sharp as you are mentally
mr. watson, you are up there with the wisest people i’ve read, solzhenitsyn, peterson, goggins, nietzsche & dostoevsky. thank you for all the motivation

Dude the look in your eyes, and the tone in your voice says YOU ARE DEAD SERIOUS. You arent kidding, you are as serious as it gets. Spiritually penetrating. Its like your staring right through the camera into the eyes of your audience. Very refreshing to see a real one.
This quote by Calvin Coolidge always has put me in check
" nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with Talent.
Genius will not, unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not, the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are forever lasting...
In short, only results matter...
Great job Wes, thank you

I lived in a monastery in Cuernavaca, Mexico. It was an incredible experience. The structure of the entire day was on prayer, community out reach, solitude to read. Not a single second was wasted. And their love for the community was incredible . Their outreach was centered on helping the community with mental health issues. They would get spit on, yelled at, and slapped in the face l, but they never ceased or changed their mood, because they truly respected the internal value of each person. You, have found this, even in what most people would see as the darkest of all dark hours. Thanks for doing what you!
I live my life by this:
You don’t have to like everyone but you have to love and respect all life.
There are no victims just people suffering in this world, the only sensible thing to do is spread your message as lovingly as you can
It is the duty of the strong to love and protect the weak
It is the duty of the wise to recognize their inherent ignorance and teach the innocent so they may stay innocent
Everyone is equal

Wes you could star in some badass movies.
He could be a good ass ex military villain who went rogue or something haha

Shit homie... Wes is the star!!!
He's too manly for modern day Hollywood
Nah-Wes is way too real for Hollywood... Can you imagine a situation where he’s passively taking direction from some pencil-neck weasel sitting in a chair while somebody else is quickly applying more powder to his nose? Skulls would be cracked.
