    I love my 576xp. I run it with a 60cm .404 bar and chain. People say that's a bit nuts but it totally rips!

    I recently got a 2008 575xp in really nice shape on the outside. It swallowed a piece of the top edge of piston. It beat up the top of the cylinder. But the bore is nice. So im getting bearings for it a piston For it. Ill port the muffler since its beat up.

    Definitely tell that's a pure Husky. The whistle it makes. China saws can clone them but don't sound the same.

      Agreed, the oem saws def have distinct sounds to them, makes no sense at all why, but somehow they do.

    I had one come available for a decent price and I was scared because of the auto tune so I got the coil and the entire second complete auto tune system tossed in for the deal… 51mm Xtorq… I’m going to cut my intake pocket and try it out… I bought the tune-able carburetor and I can go either way with the carburetor choice.,, I just love that crazy high filter top popup!!! It’s not really heavier then a 372 Xtorq. That’s one of the saw’s that I will be raising the squish band and cutting the base up a little bit to make it a .020 thou squish… she’s a little wide at around 40… I got $250 and the $80 carburetor into it so it will be a decent $300 dollar work saw when it gets done??? I’ll definitely sell everything I have for the $300 I’ve invested if someone else wants to build it??? I’ve got a half dozen 372 cases and I am doing those first… I need to get the wheel on that one and see what it looks like???

    The autotune 576 xpg is the Cadillac of mid 70cc saws. It's smooth as silk and when ported, pulls the chain with authority.

      Awesome info, this one stock pulls good so I can imagine a good ported one will be nuts. 👍🏻

      I’m very curious about how the cylinder is ported or what someone else decided to do with it? I’m just gonna try trimming the squish band 20 thou then hitting the base enough for a 20 thou squish… I have been cutting the face of the intake for the Xtorq 372’s and 261cm and it’s a fantastic boost and it’s getting the air and fuel charge blending before the combustion chamber so it’s just a lot richer condition for the piston…? I’ll be really curious to see what they sent them up like and I can’t wait to see the wheel for these… I just love that crazy tall popup top!!! LMFFAO

    I briefly had a 575XP and absolutely hated it, when I sold it I let the buyer know how I felt about the saw but he took it anyways.
    A week later he was calling me and tried to get me to buy it back and I had to say no. I didn't feel bad because I gave him full disclosure. The saw started easy, idled and ran good, had really good compression but it couldn't even keep up with a tired old 266 I had.

    I had gotten that bigger Husqvarna concrete saw in for a rebuild and I saw that cool cylinder with that bottom end transfer feeder port coming up the front and I was thinking dang it man what is my chainsaw side model number and there’s not one… then I found that 576 cylinder and I was thinking that I can definitely port this up into something…. And I also then noticed the Stihl 461’s had the bottom up the front kinda transfer’s feeding tube system… so I’ve got to get motivated and get some projects done so I can play with that 576… I went ahead and grabbed the manual tuned carburetor so between the two different versions I should have something that will chooch! LMFFAO!

      Personally if you run across a deal, then yes. But if you have the choice, I would rock a 372 and save the weight, or if weight isn't the issue, then get a 385, it's the same size and has mo powa!!!!!

    Quite a rare saw bud . But looks big and heavy for a 70cc class saw especially compared to the 372 or 572 but cool none the less . Has it got more power than a 372

      @dubbssawshop  7 месяцев назад +2

      I think it's a slight torque advantage for sure. But it isn't that far ahead.

    • @DaveyBlue32
      @DaveyBlue32 7 месяцев назад

      The really interesting thing about that cylinder is they have a tube coming up from the bottom end and feeding the transfer’s like the big Husqvarna concrete saw and the 461’s… Stihl saw’s and I’ve just been hunting for the chainsaw version of this cylinder design so I could play with it…. I started ripping the intake face open and making the 372 Xtorq blend and shoot down into my case’s for a minute and then I watched Jeremy Bell do something similar… he cuts the bottom of his intake and he use’s a 160 or so intake over my 155… I don’t know if it’s a good power gain for that additional fuel consumption or not but I’ve got about four decent Xtorq cylinder’s that I was just going to try to eBay or something because that Xtorq deal with the bigger piston… I just scribed the piston and the bottom end can be removed and some decent weight removed so I’m going to mess around with one or two Xtorq saw’s and see what they can do… most likely I’ll just send them to someone who wants an Xtorq cylinder for $50 bucks or something like that…. I have been putting the Duke’s popup moly 52mm or a Hyway popup in a $35 dollar Farmertec jug with a little cleanup and work and I actually really like the results and they make a really good work saw and it’s a $35 dollar cylinder and a $35 dollar piston kit so you have $70 bucks into a really decent engine… if you cut the squish band up and run the 272 Duke’s popup piston kit for $30 bucks… they are actually pretty strong… I’d love to find a cheap single ring 272 to make a work saw for the general knock around ground saw… might have a 272 cut into a popup and just run the bottom ring? I just used my little diamond file and I widened my bottom ring groove and it worked out for the single thicker ring and it’s down far enough from the edge of the cylinder lining material ending after it’s raised??? I’m just not really into a super high reving rpm’s type engine… so I’m really into using the 268 piston in the husky 50mm and I need to make a little shim stock to raise the cylinder up to just make my squish… then my 104-105 exhaust duration might get a couple more degrees and be more like a 107-108… torque monster? It’s one version I want to try out next?

    • @DaveyBlue32
      @DaveyBlue32 7 месяцев назад +1

      They have a 51mm bore so they can get a little squish band trimmed up and cut them off the bottom enough to get a.025 thou squish… I’ve been cutting the intake face open and then down into the bottom end instead of through the air injection upper port’s and I kinda feel like they have a little bit more boost port action with the carburetor just able to get a fuel charge out and towards your intake instead of the fuel charge through the bottom end and just air through the top? I’m just kinda interested to see what they have for torque and what they feel like with the 28” on them???
