    Nice vid thanks. I'm looking to get one, but can't see where the LED licence plate holder and bracket kit is mounted to the rack - any help to describe/show that? Been searching everywhere, no joy.

      Hello. We're not aware of an LED license plate holder option for the MonoRail. We do offer the Yakima StageTwo and SafetyMate License Plate Kit. Give us a call to order or to locate the store nearest you: 1-888-301-1527

    We have fenders on our electric bikes. Can we still install them on rack with the bar/straps. One of the bikes (Rad+)is over 60 lbs. what is limit for weight. Thank you

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  3 года назад +2

      The Monorail was meant to clamp right in the Valley of the tire and front forks, within a inch of the forks. When it comes to carrying capacity the Monorail has a max weight 60 lbs per bike, 120 lbs per rack. Following the instructions and using the bike rack as intended is always the safest and most secure option. Front fenders can generally be removed without much risk of splashback, the back fender does all the hard work. Or there are other options that would normally be available for bikes with Front Fenders.

      Those would be two examples of Fender Safe bike carriers. The Easyfold has a 65lbs per bike capacity making it one of the most versatile E-bike carriers.
      Hope this helps and thanks for the question.

    Can we install add on on this model for a 3rd bike in the future?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  3 года назад +1

      You can indeed! RockyMounts make a Monorail Add-on which will allow you to add a 3rd bike on the 2 inch models. The link below will take you to our product page for the item (unfortunately they are in high demand and challenging to get):

    What is the Max wheel base bike you can fit? Have found that the yakima don't accommodate a wheel base on an XL Marin Alpine Trail (1427mm)

    • @rackattack

      Hello. The maximum wheelbase is 48 inches (1219.2mm). Check out the GuideRail which offers 55 inches (1397mm) wheelbase capacity: ruclips.net/video/QJKd5MaLCaI/видео.html Thanks!

    Possibly a silly question here. I'm admittedly lazy about this kind of thing but is it recommended to remove the rack from your vehicle between sessions during rainy weather season or does the rack hold up well with minimal wear and tear (aka rust)?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  3 года назад +1

      Hello. Yes, in order to get the greatest life from the rack, it is advisable to store it out of the elements. For those who must keep the rack on the vehicle, it's a good idea to wash, wax and lubricate as regular maintenance. Thanks!

    Do you know how much bounce these tend to have (too much, sketchy etc) with burly full suspension MTBs racked coupled with rough roads?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  3 года назад +1

      This rack has an anti-wobble hitch bolt to minimize horizontal movement: ruclips.net/video/kyUKRm2naCY/видео.html It is build sturdy to hold bikes securely and is known to perform well with MTBs on rough roads.

    Is the rear wheel strap safe on carbon rims?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  2 года назад

      Hello. Yes, for most, however, it is not necessary to apply great pressure, just enough to prevent the wheel from lifting from the tray. Choose an area of the rim where there are no graphics as they could get marred. Additionally, there are some uncommon rims that have non-structural aero sections, these could be damaged. Thanks.

      @@rackattack Thanks for the fast response. Can I also put a small towel between the strap and the carbon rim, just for some added safety?

      The MonoRail has some extra features but also costs more, check out the reviews, there are 10 for the Transfer with 4.8 average and 77 for the MonoRail also 4.8 average, the comments may offer insight as to which product fits your specific needs:

    Is there a ramp that I could purchase to roll bike onto rack?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  3 года назад

      There does not exist a factory ramp for this bike rack. The Thule Easy fold XT, Kuat NV 2.0 and the Yakima OnRamp all offer ramps for their racks, either as add on or an included with the product.
