Truly was an era of that wasn’t it. What an amazing pair - was theirs to lose after 2010. Before that (and after the worlds in karapiro) I remember thinking “hey GB could get past them” and well, we all know that turned out lol
Wow, the Coldplay playing in the background is a real insult to injury to 4th and 5th. Definitely the last song i would want to hear after losing a race.
GB going straight off the course there at the end.
They did that in the 2012 Olympics aswell

gb messed their steering again...in 2012 they finished in lane next to theirs, here they finished 2 lanes up of their one
i don't think was the steering so much as the strokeman died in the last 150

@@bendickinson6264 Oh I know. As a bowsider I've been there and there's no worse feeling than finishing a race with gas left in the tank when your stroke gave his all. But when it's that vs risking a DQ pulling across lanes and even putting his oar over the buoys, it's lose lose.

Why aren't Murray and Bond using a boat with the beautiful carbon riggers?
Ethan's GoPro they tried them when they received their new boat a month or so earlier, but the extra stiffness caused them discomfort so they retained the aluminium ones.
