Hey thanks,so much for this. I bought fuel filter, oil, oil filter, air filter to service Megane mk3. Wasn't sure about fuel filter, but followed your video and it all worked perfectly, plus reset the service light and did not know the trick to view oil level from the dash. Thank you for sharing good sir, very helpful guide.
Clear and concise, makes me feel like I can do my own now, just need to make sure I've got the right tools. I wouldn't recommend lying under the car with just a jack for support, good video.
LM Auto Repairs cheers mate ... pretty straight forward this one, but i hope the video helps in any way... if you have to change the cabin filter be prepared, the last time I did it I had to remove the clutch pedal...👍oh just watched the video in my car the GoPro mic it’s absolutely shocking 😳
@@CarsExposed where did you buy engine oil ELF FULL-TECH ? I'm ask because I buying online this oil from AUTODOC not sure it's a fake o real genuine Elf oil.
Lucian Razec thx ... definitely a lot more work involved comparing with German motors but not too bad really, overall I think the engine bay is so compact therefore creating some challenges to say the least cheers 👍
Hi . Great video and thank you . I’ve noticed you have few videos with this car and it’s great . I have the same . Now , can you PLEASE make a video on how to change the Oil and the Filter of your gearbox . There is NO video on the whole internet on how to do that . I saw something how to change the oil but i will like to see oil and filter change. Please mate , do one for us 👍 .
Thanks mate , I have a 2 parts video changing the clutch where I show how to empty the gearbox oil and fill it up again they don’t have filter ... Part1 ruclips.net/video/ucQEfCqbMRU/видео.html Part2 ruclips.net/video/4sphNIi3AdM/видео.html I hope it helps 👍👍👍
@@CarsExposed I did start to watch that.. but i lost intrestt till part 2 since it wasnt what i was searching.. but it was there :)) , on second part. and yes , helped a LOT trust me.. You showld also tag those vid with gearbox oil change . Mine is automatic gearbox 6 speed. you think is the same ? i hope it is :D . Great job man, and thanks for such a fast reply
I have R9M engine thats 1.6dci. I dont think my one has pump to prime the system. Will fuel pump do it by switching ignition on and off several times??
Hello my friend,I have the same just like your car,I want to change the oil but I don't know the name of the key to remove the oil, can you please give me the key name? Thank you for your help

one question I need to ask: my service mechanic filled up my megane 3 (2011) with 5 lt oil full can. does it make any problems? and he said we need to change the oil once in a year (12 months interval) is it true? thanks
Hiya sorry about the delay, oil capacity is 4.5 ltrs for the megane mk3, generally overfilling can cause issues i would suggest for you to check the oil dipstick and make sure is not going over the max level... Manufacture Service intervals are 18.000 miles or 24 months, now my suggestion if you want to look after your vehicle would be every 10.000 miles or 12 months ... 👍👍👍
I have been watching videos to see if anyone gives or I spot a hint on how to change the daytime running lights help please someone make a video for this elusive light exchange on the Megan. More specific 1598cc, RENAULT, Megane, DYNAMIQUE TOMTOM VVT, 2012 . I do believe daytime lights are in same place as this Megan and that's under the head lights
Some opinion about this engine ? Any expensive repairs ? Injectors, DMF, Turbo, DPF ? I saw in another video you made over 300k km. I guess you replace oil every 10-15k km ?
I would recommend it highly mate Awesome car and engine all round... I’ve clocked over 350k km and I never had any issues with the engine itself or gearbox... had to replace a couple sensors and glow plugs tho which in my opinion they are part of service In general anyway, wear and tear... I service it every 16k km, oil change and all filters... And I replace the gearbox oil every 100k km ... thanks mate 👍👍👍
North America is way behind with longlife oil changes... when they drive 10k miles or more, they use the wrong oil, end up with engine problems and blame the extended drain / longlife maintenance schedule! LOL
Thomas EXOVCDS lol, here in uk service intervals vary from12k to 20k with some German cars having a variable service intervals with some clever sensors monitoring the oil which I believe surpasses the 20k mark, but only works using the right long life oil... ive seen few engine issues lately by people using the wrong and cheap generic oil so it happens here aswell 😜
Michael Barnes Axle stands is a must although I’ve been guilty in the past, I normally place axle stands under wishbone back bushing part it’s a solid part connected to the frame 👍
You might like to know that I switched this video off before your intro sequence had finished. I suggest you drop it and get straight into the video in future.

Honestly those things can fail and the car falls on you. My car once fell to the ground while I was changing the tire
Thx guys I use to occasionally work without a jack stand which was a big mistake I don’t do it anymore, you can check out the recent videos 😊👍👍👍👍
JayDon Saoirse na hÉireann sounds pretty reasonable to me 👍👍👍
The best thing about this video is your voice. I wish i could speak like you. Regards
Got a Renault Megane III Bose Edition 2012, living in Germany! 122k km so far.

Good comprehensive video. Looks like a bit of a pain that fuel filter. That’s why I’ll stick with German cars 😉

Great video, very useful but please never get under a car that’s on a Jack!
Great video! Can you tell how often you need to replace the fuel filter? It think is less often than the oil one?
Would you happen to know where I could buy the green connector or the whole hose. Mind snapped when I went to take it off 😳
Make a vídeo for a gearbox oil toping or change! To this car!
Thanks for this video. Love
Thanks youre video is veriy good.
Your video mi hellp
Igor Grgurinovic thanks Igor, great name my name is Igor too 😁👍
Still a good video. I've got air in my fuel line is it an easy fix or would you suggest a garage?

What type of sump washer does the car take? Is it a Dowty seal or copper compression washer?
Invest in some axle stands. You don't want to be under a car supported only by a jack... on wheels. Helpful video though. Thumbs up.
Frogmella Slob thanks Bud it was stupid of me not using the axle stand in the video, I don’t do that anymore 👍👍👍
What's the name of the tool at 6:50 like a angled long spanner?
