ducklings can forage for food with mother mallard duck with in 24 hours after our of shell
during the breeding ground season, mallard ducks can be seen everywhere
they inhabits lakes, rivers, ponds, swamps and other water rich in aquatic plants
and they like to swim in groups
a welcome swallow resting on a water pipe
they also like to live near ponds for easy foraging
another nest of ducklings was found on other side of the ponds
i counted carefully and there were 7 ducklings in total
mallard ducks breedng season from late reply September to early February
they raise 2-3 broods a year
the cluch of 10 - 13 eggs hatches after 27 - 28 days of incubation
it's almost sunset
