We had stiger #2, #8, on the farm. Once they got going and Wagner went under we bought 4 new stigers every year. Up until we quit in 1990. 5 new Ford new Holland tractors, IH pull type combines and stiger 4wds every year. One of the original BTOs. Too young for me to remember much but the pictures prove it. Grew potatoes wheat and beans in the upper RRV.
Y’all should do an episode where you draw a random year from say 1975-1995 out of a hat, and then both of you give us what your ideal line up of equipment would be for an average size farm of that era in your location. Would be fun
Great show guys as always I remember as a kid in the summer of 73 at a tractor pull in Missouri my cousins were pulling a 1256 and a 1466 well afterwards guys standing around talking shit and it happened two Chevys hooked bumper to bumper that started it all in that area good times alcohol was involved
Bought a Steiger bearcat on an auction the auctioneer was fishing I was the only one that bid only paid $5,000 for it it had a 3208 cat I ran that thing for about 15 years and before that my dad had a 4156 International
Excellent. The pulling video is great!❤
When my dad pulled in the 70's they done the measurements with a tape measure and a string. They had the 25' marks set then measure from them.
Growing up we had 2 st310s
Back in the 80's I drove a Steiger PTA 325. Loved it!!
