Have loved this series of videos. Just as a point of interest, this was the U-boat that sank my Grandfather’s ship, the SS Wallsend during WW2 just north of Cape Verde. Thank you again. Brilliant.
Looks fantastic Ted. How ironic you should post this final episode today as I finally started mine in earnest this morning. Got most of the way through the engine, and with considerably less profanity than anticipated! Glad to see yours completed. Congratulations.
Amazing build have watched from the start! thank you for making the series. Any chance of a HD steady cam final shoot with the lights on showing the immense amount of work gone in?? cheers Ted. James
best model ive ever seen on this planet. Well done ! Don´t think can rebuild it in that quality... This was just a Eye Experience ! Thank you so much for it ! Hope for more Uboat´s !!!!
You should find a way to make or simulate barnacles on the hull....if not on the sub then on larger surface ships as they would have barnacles on the hull
the part of the conning tower that is see through, should have been on the same side as the see through plastic in stead of being on the opposite side, looks really good , but if I were doing it, I would prefer it to be on the same side as the cross section, NOT on the side of the complete hull.....if you know my meaning
Hello Ted! Spectacular job on the build. I have been referencing videos for my build and have a question. Since Jennifer supplies the navigation lights, I haven't seen where you had installed them. Did you leave those out of the build?? Tried to find a way to contact you via message or email but with out success. Hope you get to see this inquiry.
I've pinged Ted for you as he won't see your comment, but normally the best way to get hold of him is through his Facebook page: facebook.com/SkippersSM
13:38 on . . . If you’re left handed, put the camera on the other side! However, nice job on the chipping. As a matter of fact, weathering is beautiful. Where did you end up putting the battery pack?
Wow👌👌 you are a Master. From all the videos i saw on youtube about building modells this is by far the alpha and omega. Did you ever thinking about getting out a DVD ? The Art of Building and painting shipmodells etc...? I think this is it👍⚓Greetings from Germany ✌😎✌
Really great job! But I would like to see more of the completed model. I think you were also tired for all long job and 11 episodes and tended to finish it. It seems you concantrated more to show how to do rather than to exhibit.
The main criticism i have with this kit is the outer hull vents are blanked off and for realism would have to be drilled out. For a kit of this size and expense it is a real let down. Drilling out the many vents is beyond my ability with the risk of buggering the look of the hull. I know you drilled yours out and wonder how it went. cheers.

Truly Amazing Build! You truly are an exceptional craftsman and the painting on this model is brilliant!

that thing on the deck is a winch...you face the hole up towards the conning tower, where there would be a tripod for pulley to lower torpedo in

A fabulous feat of patience skill and life experience, very enjoyable Sir.
I never knew German U-Boats had wood inlaid decks. I know American ones did.

So...you spend all this time building and then fail to show some nice, multi-angle pictures? Sheesh...
