If you need a correction then sure here it is, some are just as you say off the shelf more or less but many especialy....3 years ago.... are factory race teams wich means they have many internal components developed from either ford or at this point in time Chevy just re braneded as Holden but they are indeed diffrent. I stand by my statment of.....3 years ago... FORD stands for found on rubish dump or idk fast only rolling downhill take your pick.

0:51 mark onwards. Couldn't put all the blame on the driver. From my point of view...
1st: The team's crews wore same coloured suits with the crews from the other pit.
2nd: Organisers or the teams' coordinator should discuss on arrangements of the pits, set alternately to avoid confusions.
3rd: Driver's mind was concerned of the pit stop activities and the in-race position after that.
It was never the same since the Ford Falcon was retired 😢

Guys I'm new to this form of motorsport, could someone please tell me what is the yellow / orange light i can see flashing in the front right of the windscreen?
Its not actually flashing, its just the frame rate of the camera messing with the frequency of the light. Dash lights have represented different things at different times in the sports history. In that case it was probably to denote that he had or hadn't completed a mandatory pitstop. Sometimes I think its been used to indicate tyre compound. There is also a green light used in endurance races that signals which driver is in the car.
