I would love to see how you connect to the hotspot using the FTM-300. This part of the video was cut off after you pressed the X button. The reason I'm asking is, that many people are complaining they can't connect to a hotspot with their FTM-300s by pressing the X button. I could never get mine to connect.
Watched this to confirm I was setup/using my FT-3D/hotspot correctly - confirmed - thanks :) Only comment if I may, you mentioned long pressing the room to disconnect - I've found that long pressing the band button achieves that. Thanks again for the vid.
I use Sennheiser CX350BT it’s connects to 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time I am using the IPhone 12 Mini & Yaesu ft3d ). I can listen to music and make calls on my iPhone and monitor for phone calls and the Yaesu ft3d will audio interrupt when RX. Turn Siri off on iphone then the ( Siri button ) on CX350BT to transmit on Yaesu then ( Play / Pause button ) on CX350BT stop transmission on Yaesu. Sounds pretty good too !
I am using a FTM-400XD and a Pi-Star box. When I push the Wires-X button on the radio it won't connect to the Pi-Star box. Sometimes I need to repeat this 5-6 times before it connects. Do you know why that is? When I connect to a local repeater this is not the case. It connects the first time.
If you connect a Fusion radio like the FTM300 using a Zumspot or any other hotspot, do you get access to the entire room list available as you would connecting your radio to your computer using a SCU40 lead or is it a more limited list? In other words, is the experience of running a FTM300 via a Zumspot hotspot? identical as you would get if connecting to Yaesu's Wire X servers via SCU-40?
By default the setup locks the access to only the owners callsign, so other people would not be able to use it unless you configure it for that. The radio is 10mW, so the range is very much dependant on the antenna, the small coil antennas give you up to about 250m range depending on where it is, what is near it etc etc etc.

No. It's not Wires-x proper.
Can i use this for DMR Im using a tyt dmr radio and can i use the wifi from my cell phone when traveling ,
