Obviously, you do not know what this means - this is not a tit-for-tat thing, this is a ramming through of the process and should not have ever been done. "It wasn't our fault that we didn't get a chance to speak at the two other hearings that we boycotted." Such childishness by the GOP. I have great respect for Senator Durbin for not talking back other than to say that there were already two hearings and that a roll call vote was underway.
This clip is disingenuous at best, there was a chance to speak and debate nominees, but somehow all of those in the GOP had urgent phone calls or meetings they had to go to. It is also curious that they bring up the same arguments and one liners, at the exact same time. Maybe if I wasn't so jaded, I would suggest that they hadn't spoken about this beforehand or behind closed doors and that it seemed like it was a targeted strategy. The word "fakeriotrism" leaps to mind when I see this. It is a term I heard that describes people that pretend to be patriots or at least use patriotism as an excuse for bad behavior, which describes the modern GOP exactly and is a warm blanket that they cloak themselves in.

It's part of a wider effort to put on a show for the extreme conservatives. They've moved to almost exclusively demonizing the left instead of at least attempting to look rational to anyone outside of their "devoted" followers. Either they don't see the long term implications (another civil war) or they just don't care about anything except short term gain.
Of course, if it works for the immediate goals, they don't mind. But i have to wonder if the intent isn't to foment violence in the hope that they'll be on the winning side.
They did it on purpose to play to their constituents and to obstruct the government of the United States of America.

Graham said, Some of them want to speak AGAIN, " Well, too bad. You already spoke. These sessions are SCHEDULED and allotted a specific amount of time in order to stay on schedule. Although, it would require actually showing up, they need to speak at the SCHEDULED debate sessions!

There was a moment when Tom Cotton said to Durbin, this is not our fault, this is your fault. And Durbin didn't deny/refute it. The committee chair is responsible for scheduling the sessions, and it's an age-old trick to deliberately schedule conflicts where Senators have to be in two (or three) places at once. Dems even did this for impeachment-related sessions (closed door, of course). Dirty Dem pool, as per usual.

So instead they choose not to debate and then shout about being censored. They know their supporters will lap up any suggestion of censorship because they've already been trained to and will refuse to belive, or more likely never even hear about, the fact they were given multiple chances to speak. They don't need to tell the truth because the audience they care about is already entirely divorced from it. All they need to do is keep up the victim narrative and continue framing democratic institutions as "the enemy of the people". They have no policies that can be enacted by democracy, because they are wildly unpopular. So they just focus on stirring up fake controversies for social media clicks and working towards destroying democracy under the guise of "free speech"

Blackburn nor Corbin were present for the two debate sessions. Kennedy, Cotton, and Graham ALREADY spoke at one of the two debate sessions. They chimed in when they realized this could be a viral moment they could use to twist the facts to make it appear Durbin isn't allowing any debate. It's no different than the GOP's constant action of "If we can't win an election by following the rules, we'll cheat by changing the rules."

So there were 2 debates that Republican Senators did not show up for, and when it's time to actually vote on the nominees they are demanding another debate after being absent from the first 2? That sounds like some bull to me. There must not have been cameras rolling for the first 2 debates.
I wish Durbin had said "We had 2 debate sessions that were announced weeks beforehand. A number of you skipped both sessions and now expect to have debate on the 3rd, when this is a ROLL CALL for the vote. In the reverse, you had sessions of 1 debate with roll call at the end, often announced mere days beforehand, causing many Democrats to miss. We're not playing games here. Case closed."
