What's up Garrett and crew. The other video you made a comment about not having a following. I'm going to let you in on a secret, 90% of my skimboard searchs are how to's. I'll check out Blair if he has new content but for the most part I, along with a GREAT number of people that use youtube strictly to learn. "How do you fix a toilet? RUclips it. How to ride a skimboard? RUclips it.
There's many out there that are like 'brah, you just jump like this brah', but I've not found one that breaks it down silly stupid. All the way from what muscles are critical to streach or how to properly fall. (My thumbs would have thanked you). Explain how and why projecting your weight forward instead of down on your drops will get you to farther waves. You could easily create several episodes on what falls to expect and how to react alone. Create several playlists based on skill level of the skimboarder. Become the channel that all come to if they want to learn how to skimboard.
I'm sorry Garrett, but using blairs scrap videos is not going to get you the following it takes to make money here on youtube. I hope you take my advice. Remember to keep us east coast skimboards in mind when making your videos. A lot of up and down the beach rather than charging at 20' waves. PEace Out!
dude, it's not life or death , just go and figure it out like everyone else. it'a not like kids on skim boards all went to skim board class. just remember to honor the ocean every time before you go in. this will also give you time to check out the conditions and select the best place to pursue your activities. please edit out the nose picking in all further videos. I was eating a strawberry when the nose picking started, which made it even more unpleasant. On the positive side, at least he didn't eat what he picked, at least on camera. As for what the wave pool is really like , I was hoping to learn what the experience would be for a paying customer off the street , and if body surfing is allowed .
This doesn’t even look like it’s worth $20 for a session or worth the drive out there. Novelty wave.
