Great video for anyone wanting to start out with an RDX! I'm looking to get one in the future, and its really handy to get a heads up on the stock alignment and weight distribution!
I was talking with my friend about negative KPI days ago, and you did it bro! I did something similar to you, I turned my old MC-1 with M1rac into a rear high mount servo RDX, I was testing and tuning for the last month, and my friend's stock RDX has arrived, I'm also gonna see which one is better.
Not really any kpi on these knuckles. KPI is when there is built in castor to the knuckles, these have none, simply flipped to correct the toe arm geometry.
The kit comes with 3 different lengths of ball ends in Bag 9 for the front suspension arms, it looks like you used the longest one. Are these for having options for track width? I'm curious how using the shorter or longer ones impacts steering linkage with the fixed rods.
My kit had 3 Ball End sides S, M, L. The instructions have marked as using the Ball End M, which is what I used. I ended up adding a 2nd 1mm shim to each side in the front though.
Gotcha, I’m curious why they included the other two. I’m having a hard time fitting my bodies with the really wide front end, might try the narrow ones with shorter steering rods and see if it doesn’t ruin the car.
@@michaelkirch5597 You know I was thinking the same thing. I intended to use my KB 1977 Skyline body but the front will have to be tucked or the body modified due to how wide the front is.
I'm very interested in your pro-squat toeblock set-up, do you mind explaining it a little further? Is it a noticeable change? Does it make the car squat faster (less throttle) or deeper? I'm definitely going to try that out thanks!
I’m not the best at explaining it but it increases squat because the angle so weight is transferred easier. There are better articles online that explain it a lot better than I can, simple google should get ya what you need.
what did you use to fit magnetic mounts on this chassis? I built my own RDX kit and I been wanting to go with magnets to mount the body. Any brands or direction you could point me to for front and rear?
Honestly I use cheap good strong magnets I find on Amazon up front and I use body posts in the rear. Every car/body is different so it will be subjective.
sure wish you would have shown us the install on the motor and esc. Every one always seems to skip this part. Frustrating for some one whose new at the hobby. not a bad vid for what it is i guess. on another note i noticed theres some sort of a carbon fiber piece on the back end. In the video you said that you didnt do any mods outside the shock. Does that carbon fiber piece come with the kit or is that another mod? My kit seems to be missing what ever that thing in the back is. Diffuser maybe?
My videos are definitely geared towards enthusiasts and mounting a motor and esc is fairly self explanatory and can be preference based. The rear carbon part is a bumper I made it’s not included in the kit.
Cool setups, thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Appreciate it! 🤙

@@michaelkirch5597 in case you get turnbuckles you can have ball ends that work on stock balls
I use the Yokomo standard diff with yokomo 10000 oil. So good running outside on concrete and asphalt 😎🤘🏻
Nice, I have the clsd on my inside car and stock spool works great for me on my outside car.

@@shredcraftrc good looks. Thanks!
What combination do you like in your clsd?
8 gears hard springs
Sexy azz paint job bud... Great content. Thank you
Appreciate it thank you!
Do you have a link to the orange spacers you used?
No, found them on Amazon.
What's the size of the washer?
What are you esc settings please if you don't mind sharing
I have a video on my HW XD10 settings. I don’t change a lot, everyone will use different settings.
Does the RDX gearbox need grease?
Nope
Thank You! 🙏🏼
Can you adjust turnbuckles
Stock plastic links
@@shredcraftrc how do you adjust it
@@SeeFPv-qm6ie you build turnbuckles if you want to but the alignment is pretty dialed out of the box and don’t need to adjust it.
