Hey great vid, for potential competition lure vs lure content a great way to test is to have more fisherman. You throw the power prawn and your friend throws the doa, I know it adds some different conditions to the content but it could work, amazing content will be joining the salt strong family soon
@@Saltstrong I tried it today with 50% success. I had a 2nd one that was just a huge tangled loop from the get go and there was no saving it. Any ideas on how to reduce getting these?
@@zacharydomire9945 always check your spool after a catch. The fight tension on the line can cause it to dig in if your spool line isn't tightly wound on. Hence if you have a dog in loop it will catch on the next cast.
I'm from south east Texas, and I primarily fish the Sabine Pass area, like Lighthouse Cove, Keith's lake, etc.. and I know that these areas are full of oyster beds, but they're not showing up on the smart spot app.. any plans on updating that..? Thanks for all y'all do!!
Love the backlash trick with the bail closed. I'd like to see a comparison between the power prawn and the zman shrimpz since they can both be rigged weedless

Technically, the banana on Luke's shirt would infact be a banana on the boat.......right ⁉️ Ask Joe, just make sure you don't have anything going on fo the next few hours or so‼️😂😂 I suspect that he'll have a word or two to say, and I'm curious what his 2 cents worth will intail for us😂😂
The monster 3x can't be rigged on weighted hooks, so they certainly won't be able to compete for this type of fishing... it'll likely be very close for fishing deeper water given that they both will have good darting motion.

Thanks Luke. Great video. The tip about clearing fouled line is especially appreciated.
Thanks so much for watching!
Would absolutely love a Round 3! Love these real life comparisons.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for wind knot tip!

Thanks for the idea!
Top work with that backlash, mate. That tip alone made this video worth viewing. Cheers!
Thanks!
Do you need the dr juice for the power prawn jr?
Great video Luke! Please put the Jacksonville/Mayport, Florida on your list to fish!
Thank you! Noted on the location request!
I am going to try that technique for getting a backlash mess out. I have been getting them a lot lately.
That technique is surprisingly effective

What’s the maximum depth for the Power Prawn? Do you think it’ll work in the Mayport Jetties?

Haha thanks for taking the time to comment - tight lines!
That weedless design is a much better lure and a flounder dinner too 👍👍🇺🇸
That flounder was delicious (I cooked it up that evening)
Would love to see this same test done with the monster 3x shrimp against the power prawn.

Nice competition and video Luke
Thanks!
Coming from the man him self,Mark nickles of DOA,to work his shrimp you should just reel as slow slow as you can no twitching at all
Thanks for the tip!
DOA has been very successful for me over the years. . No jigging needed. Less is more.
DOA sells the shrimp without hooks so you can rig them weedless too.
Thanks for the tip!
